Taylor Ray awesome! I bought a Miata last July. Blew it up while it was turbo’d In January on track. Rebuilt it with a used motor, sold the turbo and decided to go N/A. Your videos gave me a lot of confidence in doing that. I finally feel like a true gear head after the motor swap. Hope you’ll make it out to Texas soon, would love to see your truck and trailer and the Miata go sideways. Looking forward to your next project!

Rain ASMR, also what dreams are made of. I know Florida is humid epically during storms but having that garage and an open bay to a thunderstorm while you work on your stuff. 💯
Apparently, if you do compound turbos it helps keep EGT's down so you can stay in it if you are trying to pass people. Also you make more power and get into boost sooner.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. This is by far my favorite truck on RUclips and irl. I have a 2017 Ram dually Cummins four door 4x4. I will build a 2008+ F-350 into a Fummins one day. Love it man.

Only relatively new to the channel. Been watching ever since Cleetus introduced me to Taylor. Gotta say, “Great video mate” . Really entertaining. You’re a great vlogger.
Man, I wanted to see the "Cut-off" on those HIDs I typically retrofit Moritmoto projectors into my headlights because of the quality difference. The truck is looking good though, can't wait to see when the interior gets a little love.
Cut-off isn't going to be good in addition to weird hotspots. Also, those projector bowls will burn over time as they are not built for HID and will slowly become dimmer.
Christopher Atwater Yeah I imagine the HIDs will degrade the bowls over time, but I have seen some that are decent at first. I think a good LED light that has the same filament position as the halogen bulb would have been my choice for these assemblies.
Fixing little things is very satisfying. Doing the valve clearances on my EJ205 in my wrx. Much needed. Have one exhaust valve at .05mm instead of .25mm, random misfire source found. If your EJ in your GC has shimmed buckets DM me if you decide to adjust them without the $300 Kent Moore tool. Very doable with the engine out and you don't have to pull the cams. Love watching your content.
Totally thought as he was mounting the plug , I’d wait till I plugged in the backside b4 I secured it lol then he realized that himself! I was rolling lol
Love this type of content! Common sense solutions to everyday problems that happen to everyone. Maybe not as exciting as putting on a turbo but none the less necessary knowledge!
Went through the same thing engine-noise wise with my ‘00 24v cummins. Being accustomed to gas engines when I got my first diesel I spent WAY too much time freaking out and chasing down engine noises that were completely normal haha. Nice video.
You are correct on the chatter, a 5.9 Commonrail has a lot of valve train noise compared to 6.7s, as long as you've ran your valve lash and everything's in spec its as good as its going to get. As for EGTs that engine is designed to run 1250° all day long so I would set that buzzer higher than that without a doubt. Its all personal preference but like I said you could run it at 1250 all day long and be just fine. Keep up the good work 👍

Hey Taylor, you can bar the engine over using the pulley bolt on the alternator. I did all the rockers in my third gen and adjusted them and that's how I did it. I was skeptical at first but it worked perfectly.
You said it was some rust in your back bed of your truck I think you are to fix that and get it rhino liner that would be a good project to keep your bed from rusting you said you had a couple spots good video keep up the good work can’t wait to see you next one 😁
One of the more effective ways to quiet down a diesel is to run compound turbos on them, but I don't know if there is room for them in that engine compartment. Yes, a 6.7 has a VGT turbo that is supposed to spool up just as fast as compounds do, but it doesn't quiet it down like the compounds do. You might want to run aftermarket turbo heat shield and aftermarket pipe insulation on the exhaust pipe if you haven't already, that is supposed to help with noise and actually boosts performance a bit. You could always run a product like Dynamat on the firewall and cab floor if low noise is really important to you.
Your truck is amazing I love how it turned out!! My buddy has a 1st gen cummins on transport tires/rims and I love the look lol he even has the same spiked wheel stud caps!
Unless I missed it you need to put some paint on hole you drilled in bed for plug. Gone to do much trouble make perfect and that will rust for sure as bare metal. Keep up the great work
If you really want to eliminate the noise in the cab, I suggest pulling the carpet out and putting sound dampening pads down and new carpet, you can also put them inside the doors I did it on my 12 valve swapped Chevy and it sounds like a new truck on the inside
Now to replace the crazed marker lights in the rear fenders. New lights all around with frosted over fender lights. You’ve built my dream truck aside from the transmission. If money weren’t an issue, not saying it isn’t, I’d put an Allison transmission behind that Cummins.

Taylor you should have touched up the edges of the hole you cut in the bed. Keeps you trucks bed from rusting from the inside out. I usually keep one of those touch up “pens” on hand for just that reason.
My motor has clamps that bolt to the oil pan that hold the trans cooler lines in place so they don’t move around, I know it’s too late now but if you go to hard lines again you can put studs in the oil pan and use Adele clamps or something similar

Hi Taylor. Been following this project of yours. Nice Job!! Just a note. Do you know about the 2 solenoid upgrades to the 5R110? The direct drive solenoid SSPC-D and the EPC solenoid EPC/PC-A.
