      Javier Lobo ive always thought the same😁 ,they're nice looking with the "cloths off", but a lash of luggage strapped on and all set for adventure is even better

    Thanks for the nice vid. I grew up in Calgary and I know that area well. Highway 93/95 is a great road. Currently I live in Japan and hope to one day get a VStrom, although in the meantime my Transalp 400 is serving me quite well.

    Hi, I have just returned from a 2 month 21,500km (6 states + 9 provinces including the Trans Labrador Highway) road trip on my 2015XT. Went through 2 sets of tires (Heidenau K60 and Conti TKC 70). 35,000 km absolutely trouble free kms so far. My tenth bike, and I think my favourite to date. Glad to see someone else having a blast on this great motorcycle. One recommendation, use Amsoil Synthetic oil (10w-40 Synthetic Metric Motorcycle oil), it is wet clutch approved, and designed for engines that share oil with a gearbox.

      Which tire did you like better?

    • @robertcote9644
      @robertcote9644 7 лет назад

      K60 is longer lasting, but noisier on the road. No complaints, though, and would use them again. TKC 70 is a slightly better road tire, though it did get me through the Trans Labrador highway. Longevity = K60 Civility = TKC70

      Can you tell the difference in clutch slippage with this oil vs regular synthetic?

    You are lucky to live in an Area that is so beautiful. I live in Wisconsin and there isn't a gravel road within 50 miles of my house. I love the videos keep up the good work.

    I gotta know...what Rum did you end up getting. Any time I’m out west I can’t help but get some Bearface Whisky to enjoy in the mountain air. (excellent Canadian whisky if I do say so.) Sadly, no mountains here in Ontario.

      LOL. It was probably just Bacardi. Nothing special at all. Thanks for stopping by.

      Kitecraft thanks for posting. Living vicariously is so much safer these days. And Chic Choc spiced rum (all Canadian product) is a nice treat if you’re into that. Made with botanicals from northern Quebec. Now I’ll go watch some more of your vids! Thanks

    when you bought your bike it came with the topcase ? i have a 2013 V-strom 650 adventure my luggage rack is similar to you and i would like to buy a Trax Alu-box topcase. I'm wondering if i can get the little pieces that hold the case.

      Your Suzuki dealer should have them, the Trax and Suzuki luggage are the same.

    Hi KC, thanks for the video. I didn't realise your V's a charcoal one, same as mine; very nice.
    I like your tent, what brand is it? Where'd you get it? It looks like a good size, mine's kinda small.
    Have fun camping in the BC mountains mate, I'm heading off on a trip out into the desert in a few weeks, in outback Australia.

    • @kitecraft
      @kitecraft  8 лет назад +1

      Hi. The tent is form McKinley and is called the Kluane 3. It's technically a 3 person tent, but you better be really good friends with 2 other people. I picked it up on-sale for under $150 at Coast Mountain Sports. It's a cross-Canada chain of outdoor rec stores. The tent is a very good size for me when I go motorcycle camping. And it's quick and easy to setup/take-down.
      Outback Australia on a V-Strom would be an amazing trip. How long you going out for? And how many kilometers you going to travel?
      Cheers.

    • @robertnipp1497
      @robertnipp1497 8 лет назад +1

      Multiply by .6 for a quick estimate. 5,000km = 3,000 miles

    • @paullangford8179
      @paullangford8179 8 лет назад

      Divide by 1.609. 1 Mile = 1000 paces of 5.28 feet or 1.609 metres. (Mille ~ 1000)
