Man, the olive 9 brings back alot of memories! I had those when they first released in the (almost )mid 90's. I wore them to the ground.
I wore that shoe out, too. People thought they were boots. I think 10s were my last Jordan because I went to college and was broke for a good while. 😂 But, now I’m going back and getting everything.
The powder blue 9s were my first pair of Js. Wish I still had the OGs

Got my pair today and all I can say is I'm satisfied with these not really a 9 fan but these I couldn't pass up on they look way better in hand than pics and vids
You want your shoes to pop try not matching. Wear black gray and white shirts and bottoms. It goes with everything and it make the shoes the main focus.
Thats what i do never try to be all matching hate the way it looks too

Man with the right fashion sense these will feast on people on eyes and make a good first impression. Not caught up in the rerelease and material. These will break necks.
This is the first pair of Jordan 9s I've ever liked and the first pair I'm going to cop. I didn't like them at first but ive seen a bunch of people wearing them and I've been obsessed with getting them
These are a set of yellow laces away from being Ronald Mcdonalds joints. not feeling these. I was gonna pick up the Particle Grey 9's though until they ghosted us.
Just picked up a pair for retail at Finish Line. Excited to be able to walk into stores weeks after a release and pick up J’s lately.
I love the Jordan 9... definitely in my top 5 of retros but I dont know about this colorway. If I walk in a store and they're sitting I will buy them

They came out when he was playing baseball instead of basketball, but the 9’s n my opinion are my favorite (and 23’s) . The white/varsity red/black & the black/ light olive / varsity red (2012 especially) because of the better quality are the best Jordan’s EVER.
Good to see a 9 release. Out of the OG 1s-14s , the 9s are not in my top Jordan silhouettes like the 11s / 12s , 4s and 1s but they are not in my bottom Jordan silhouettes of the 2s , 14s and 13s either. I have some time for 9s. I would like to see more 7s, 9s, 8s and maybe even 10s rather than so many AJ1 releases, even with as much of an AJ1 fan that I am.
These are not bad but not really for me , I normally don't wear completely red sneakers or that much red in general. Though i do like seeing Jordan 9 releases and hopefully other Jordan models get some more love as well. The Raging Bull 5s are the furthest I go in terms of the amount of red but those still have enough black , white and other details.

@@ShortChizel31 to each their own , liking and disliking sneakers is certainly subjective and opinion. I love to ball in 13s , one of my favorite shoes to ball in and imo one of the best performing Jordan basketball sneakers. But i was never a huge fan of the 13 silhouette or the hits on them. Having bought Jordans since 1993 and loved them even before that, just one of the models that never really did it for me.
And just not many colorways on the 13s i really love. The He Got Games I loved and had a few pairs of those over the years - below that maybe the Obsidians , and Red Flints but those are well below the He Got Games and not many other 13 colorways I really like. The 9s are still pretty low for me on the OG list but i just like them a bit more than the 13s. Thats just me though.
@@Andrew77MUFC I’ve been buying Jordan since 91. My first pair were the 6’s. I like all OG 13’s and a few other colorways. I also like all OG’s on 9’s. But don’t care for much outside of OG’s on 9’s. But like you said to each is own. Jordan won a championship in 13’s. Never played in 9’s because of the first retirement. That’s probably why it’s such a low model on most peoples list.
@@ShortChizel31 100% agree on the ones Jordan played in and what he achieved in certain models certainly takes them to the next level most of the time. Jordan was a god in my youth , still my favorite athlete of all time. My first Jordans that i got were the 8 Aquas and they still hold a nostalgic place for me.
The 9s are still pretty low on my list overall , probably in my bottom 5 of the OG 1s-14s , but something about the 13 silhouette and its details never did it for me. Part of that for me was hard to compare to my all time favorite 11s and 12s that came out in the years just before the 13. Though as i said to ball in , can't get much better than the 13s for me in terms of performance ; especially out of the OG models.
It’s a shoe I won’t wear all the time but when you pull these out wit da rite fit,You CLEAN🤝
I love the Jordan 9s! They were my first pair of retro Jordan's which is why I really like this pair. But I agree with Buckets, I do not like the nylon type material on the upper. Undecided whether or not I'll snag a pair.

I wear for comfort, so I'm excited. As far as comfort; The 14s, 10s, Vs, & 9s are beyond comfortable. I bought the 3s for the first time in 2020, the red joints and they were super heavy. Saturday will be a good day for me.
It's like they covered it in that red tape customisers use and said that will do.

I hit on sneakers but I returned them unfortunately the quality was not there on the shoe a lot of imperfections and for the price they should have been better and the sad thing is I was hoping to keep them.

I actually agree with buckets on this one. The nylon upper should have been leather and the shade of red would look better if it was darker.

They're NOT comfortable. Gotta go 1/2 size up. Have a few...9.5 is the way to go. Too much red for a 9. I agree with the 6 rating. Haaaard pass.
The unfortunate thing about JordanBrand and Nike is the quality. Cheap materials and nearly ever pair of shoes, each shoe is different in terms of build quality. I ordered a pair of White Air Force 1 and the right shoe looks worse than the left.

These would be better as a women’s shoe, or if the nylon was leather and the patent leather was suede. Otherwise I’d rather get the MBJ 9’s.
There’s been a few “Meh” colorways in the past year or so, it think it’s time to bring back OG 9 colorways with the proper shape and features. Bring back the French Blues as well.
