      Thank you so much!! You should give them a shot! They are fun to create with and in my opinion, since the design is already laid out, I feel like I get to really stretch and play with my creativity.

    All beautiful layouts Allison! My very favorite is the star layout. I love all of the stitching details on those stars! And adding sequins to stitching, I am going to try that out this week…LOVE!

      Thank you so much! The paper collection for the stars layout is so awesome (Cocoa Vanilla - No Limits), I swear the star paper did all the work, minus the stitching. And, the sequins, yeah, you should definitely do it! I am officially obsessed!

    Can you give the exact "wave" cut in the Silhouette store for it being 12 inches long, please? I am overwhelmed with 186 pages of them!! So many gorgeous layouts and helpful info on the video! Loved the way the cat one matches the eyes! Thank you Allison!!

    Oh wow, I love the sequins added into the stitching! Clever. I am wondering about your stitching on so many layouts...do you pierce the holes with a pokey tool, or do you add them somehow in your cutting machine software? I really love the addition, it's stunning. It is a wee bit over the top for me, but I'm definitely going to try it at least once. My grandsons' pages warrant the extra love, I think! :) Thanks for the inspiration and I'm loving your videos. I'm new here and I intend to stick around.

      Thank you so much!! Yes, I pierce the holes first and then stitch. I've got a video tutorial that shows my whole process if you want to see it in action. When I first started scrapbooking I would only stitch here and there, but as the years have gone on I've embraced it as my favorite technique and just keep adding more and more. I love the process of it and could easily spend all day doing it! I get that's it's not for everybody, but I just can't help myself!

    I hv one query....how to make layout without photos....means i hv to make a layout for a frnd. She will add photos in it. But my concern is how to place embellishments bcoz during placement we overlap msny hhings and without pic its bern difficult. So do u hv any tip for this??

    • @allisondavis4sg944
      @allisondavis4sg944  Год назад

      I would use a photo mat in the size of photo that you would want them to use and then when adhering embellishments only put adhesive on the part that won't overlap onto the photo. That way your friend can still add photos and tuck it under the embellishments that would overlap onto the photo. Most scrapbook adhesives should be strong enough to hold well.

    I’ve been watching a few of these lately - and made a purchase…. Idk - for me, personally, I just don’t care for all the blank white space around the edge of the entire layout - there are many like this - just feels like wasted space for me

    • @allisondavis4sg944
      @allisondavis4sg944  Год назад

      I get it. That's the beauty of creating and scrapbooking! There are no rules and we all have different likes and dislikes and styles, etc.
      White space is definitely not wasted space. White space makes a design easier to view. For me personally, I like to use white space as a way to highlight and frame the important elements (the photos, title, and journaling) of the layout. White space is what keeps a design from being overwhelming, even when it's a really detailed design. To me, when every inch of space on a layout is used up it often becomes hard to view and cluttered and if the pictures are spread out as well they are no longer the central focus of the layout.
      That's just the way I approach designing sketches and layouts. I always want the photos to be the main focus and white space is a great way to ensure that.
