    I would just like to add that Mr. Whitehead has been very quick to respond to my questions, and answers thoroughly any and all questions. I am studying and weighing the benefits both short and longer term of this rollsizer for my use, and he has been nothing but helpful so far, and anything BUT a "pushy salesman". He is an engineer first, and it shows through his conduct. Two thumbs UP!

    So i would have to already have a case feeder?

  • @rollsizer5623

    This is this is actually processing at 6,800 per hour. The machine can handle it but for reliability of feeding I have kept it to 6,100. The production machines use special bearings and has a L10 bearing life of approximately 85,000 hours, this is better than a lot of high end mining equipment.

    I got one few month ago, but still have problems with some sort of cases. Most of them are Sellier Bellot Nontox . Even after rollsizing, those cases are oversized in diameter.
    I had to made a new bigger inside roll (+,20 mm) and now it work.
    Just an idea for those who have the same issues like I did.

    Still have to full length size, so whats the point of this? Full length sizing will do everything this machine does

    • @rollsizer5623
      @rollsizer5623  3 года назад +3

      Actually no. Coat a clean, fired case in a permanent marker and full length size. There is a gap at the base which cannot be reached. The rollsizers get this area back to factory. They also get the base concentric to the rim AND square up the lower section to the base. They really do work.

    Jib.
    Yes you need to supply a case feeder.

      Ok cool I have a mark 7 on the way it should be able to keep up if I take 3 pins out

      @@jbarson5200 depending on the type you may get better. The higher end casefeeder is an MA feeder and this can usually run close to max.

    One thing to mention. The 9mm is a tapered case and it cannot go in upside down. What you have will work for the straight wall, not for the taper case.

    • @rollsizer5623
      @rollsizer5623  6 лет назад +1

      Bob Otte correct, it is a tapered case. I have trialled tapered dies etc. The difference it makes to the base bulge is not measurable and of no real benefit to the shooter. The movement in the cases die to the open top going out of round is a vastly bigger problem. And is the reason why tapering the dies is not necessary. I won't go into the details of the tolerances. With my rollsizer the reloader does not need or want the undersized dies.
      Good observation though.

    Actually it does make a difference if the cases feed upside down. When it is upside down you are NOT base sizing the case, ,which is the whole point of rolling the case. Any bulge will still be on the brass, which could cause the final finished round to not be able to seat properly in the chamber. Which could cause a blow out of the base of the case directing the gasses straight down the magazine well. So pay attention during rolling and grab any upside down cases as they are coming off the machine.
