Edit: Figured out how to get Saturnu's modified OS running after serious amounts of trial and error. Apparently contrary to what most people said, renaming the OS file to "OS64P.V64" was not needed for me, also didn't need to run the roms from the "ED64P" folder in the root directory. Just needed a file and folder with those names to exist in order to boot (Used the actual OS file renamed anyway) and then ran everything from the regular "ED64" folder so the modded OS was actually capable of both reading/writing my savegames. Can also use gameshark codes now with the modded OS! :) GL fellow clone device users!
I can find somewhere to upload it overnight if you really need me too, it would probably be easier for you to just download that xdcukr.zip file and I can explain what to do with it step by step.
Ok, What do i do once i get the file downloaded? Im going to make this into a tutorial thread on isozone so we can preserve/share info as well as build a small community around this awesome cart.
$175 STILL for an Everdrive. Insane at that a price. Guy that invented it may be smart, but he is losing a TON of business by not lowing the price to compete. Even the version 2.5 is $120, which is the same exact thing as the ED64 - more than double the price.
This looks like trash compared to the Everdrive though. I was almost going to order this but even without comparing it to the everdrive, it just looks like the old black unlicensed NES games. The EverDrive x7 doesn't require you to reset the system to save your files, and it looks like an official cartridge and the build quality easily looks 10x better than this. I was going to get one of these off ebay for $70, but cancelled my order and ordered an everdrive 64 x7 instead. I've seen the build quality on the everdrive 64 x7. I doubt this thing is even remotely similar. If you.dont care about build quality, then just get this and be done with it.
@@joemann7971 Internally the cheaper one has excellent build quality. It just looks ugly. 99% of people wont care. The reset to save thing isn't an issue, it quickly becomes second nature to hit reset before you turn it off. In my country the x7 is over triple the price of the ed64 plus.
I bought one of these on Amazon for $80 with shipping. There are some rare N64 games that are just priced way out of range, and this gives me a chance to play them.

Hey Toy Gander thanks so much for the video - you are the reason I ultimately purchased one of these. I seem to be an update behind the Banjo-Tooie update as well and was hoping you could help me out with a copy of the firmware that you currently use. Thanks in advance!
Watched previous vid on the ED64, definitely considering purchasing one. What kind of video setup are you using to get the smoother edges? I'm currently using a third party dedicated s-video (no yellow video plug) with L/R audio on a 32 in HDTV and my edges and text are still kinda jagged. I have expansion pak as well. Cant change the aspect ratio on that tv either. On a side note, could you possibly try Virtual Pro Wrestling 64 and Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 on the ED64?

Great video man. Had a question though. It's now mid 2019, and I was wondering if to your knowledge there is any other way to get a flash cart like this for N64 with all the games preloaded? Like in 3 years did any other company/group make another one like this or do the rest always come with no sd card and you have to take care of the ROMs yourself?
If the USB function worked like other flash carts I have with them it was to load a game from the PC. My cart for the SNES does that by just loading the rom into DRAM but I can't save though unless I have an SD but if I have an SD there is no reason for USB lol.
Mine plays every game except wwf no mercy but re downloaded it a couples times then worked one day somehow. Hello. I would like to know why everdrive does not run the transpak gold silver yellow red and others in pokemons 1 and 2 .... do you know if something is missing?
I'm considering getting one of these but my only qualm is the method of saving. Is it just as simple as pushing reset and switching the power off? You don't have to hold reset while powering off or anything like that, right? Have you had any problems with save data being lost or not saved properly while using this?
+Nick Pacheeks I haven't had any issues but a couple of subscribers posted in the comments that they were having issues with No Mercy. I haven't heard of any other games having save issues though.
I ordered one from aliexpress, took over 5weeks to get. They sent one and 3 weeks later I hadn't received it - got lost from china post. I contacted them and eventually they sent another one and 2 1/2 weeks later I got it today. No SD card in mine.
Anyone knows if there is a way to force PAL region games to run in 60hz? In ED64Plus original OS (1.28) PAL Games boot, but my tv won't support 50hz and the TV screen keeps flickering making it unplayable. However in Saturnu's modified OS (1.29) PAL games won't even boot, in the game options it doesn't even show the PAL-CIC games (which are 710x), but only NTSC (610x) and even some 5xxx CIC's. Some ROM hacks also doesn't work on Saturnu's OS, but they do Work in ED64Plus default OS. Since there is no official ED64Plus webpage or forums or something like those I'm just posting it here to see if anyone find this useful and if anyone else can provide more information regarding this.
Does anyone know about the game save ability? Games like Mario World and Zelda can't be beat in one sitting. Can you save the game and come back to it later?
I bought this cartridge, which was delivered to my address last week. I can say I am happy with it, it works just like this video. Still I think it is a bit expensive (compared to other flashcards for other consoles), I paid $78 on aliexpress but it is the cheaper product I have seen so far... and does the job pretty well.
Thanks for the link. Though, the savings aren't that great, as the base models that Krikzz sells for both the n64 and snes are less than $30 more. These are the older revisions, but compatability is still really high and krikzz produces high quality boards with a warranty.
Have you had any issues with it failing to boot? I have a 64 that plays regular games flawlessly, but whenever I try the ed64 I just get a black screen. Sd card is fine, it makes a solid connection with the cart and the cart sits in my 64 fine. The ONLY time I got the ed64 to work is when I accidentally wiggled the cart while it was in the n64 while it was on and it booted right up. As soon as I switched it off and on without touching the cart, it failed to boot again. I've cleaned every existing connection with mild rubbing alcohol. No go, but again any other n64 works. Ever had that happen? It's tough for me to believe that my one ed4 is faulty when it was manufactured the same as every other ed64.
+Tyler Elmergreen I haven't had any issues with mine I know I had a Everdrive SNES that had the same issue as you are having. It had to do with the firmware

Have you tested what else ED64 can simulate? Do you know the list of emulated consoles? Did you check if ED64 has the option to save the game at any time? (I mean the state of the game at any time as in the emulator on the PC)
I have been wanting one of these that first heard about them I got one for my Gameboy SP which was okay but I mainly wanted one for my 64 clean very few games for and then one of them plus I have a lot of rounds already but I can't find it for a good price the cheapest I was able to find was $50 and something on Amazon once but I didn't have the money at the time now I look again and it's almost doubled in price and I took that website that you said and I couldn't find them there either if you were anybody else knows a place to find one for a good price please let me know products similar to it cuz I don't want to spend a hundred bucks for more than that 50 bucks would have been nice if I could have gotten it and I regret not buying it when I could of but hey it happens hopefully we'll come back maybe but really please if anybody out there can find one for a good cheap price or something similar to it please let me know cuz I really want one but I'm not going to spend an arm and a leg though if I can find one for maybe I don't know 70 at the most if not less I'll even take a used one of its altogether just someone let me know if you find one please I really really want one either message me on here or you guys could email me cookbean4206942069@gmail.com and let me know ASAP.
+Eric Cook I just checked Aliexpress and it looks like they were pulled and no longer carry them. That's a bummer because I got mine for around $60-$70 on there. It looks like eBay or Amazon might be your only option 😕

I just wish I got it when I could for the $50 I'm really kicking my self in the ass over that.
Does anyone have the NES emulator working for their ED64+? I just got mine recently and finally got everything working as far as n64 roms, but I get some "emulator not found 145" error when I try to run NES roms. I've tried to research it a bit and heard I needed the 1.28a OS so I found one on some german website but when I use it my cart just blackscreens on launch. Then I heard about some Saturnu guys modified OS (gbatemp.net/threads/krikzz-everdrive64-alternate-menu-for-rev-1-01-pcb.359183/) and people in that thread were saying they got it working for their ED64+ but it just blackscreens for me like that 1.28a. :( If anyone can point me to the right files or just upload their entire SD card somewhere for me with the NES emulator functioning on an NTSC system I would be forever in your debt. Please someone :( Toy Gander: Sorry for using your video comments basically as a support thread in advance lol, like I knew support for this thing was basically non-existant from the cloners when I bought it, but I thought there would be a larger community behind it helping eachother out.
Hey there. Mine works fine. You just launch the .nes file from the browser, instead of launching the emulator and then selecting the rom. Mine is from the disc that came with my ED64+. I have only tested Crystalis though. Here's my SD Sans roms mega.nz/#!TdlSBarA!hxV9wM_m7dBhXnC1v_390KMyHEpY0hV_pkIIv4L6IfQ
also thank you for the review I was wondering about this product and it is safe because the one for my Gameboy I got one that says and I was curious about how it worked before I bought it now I know thinks your video thank you very much and again if anybody can find one online for a good price or something like it please let me know either message me on here or my email is down below thanks everybody and make sure the video
if you plan on buying 10 n64 games you might as well save money by getting an everdrive 64 v3 and enjoy the whole n64 library including 64DD like f-zero x expansion kit, it can emulate nes and gameboy too
Well people probably said the same thing about other automakers that came along after Ford. Krikzz still pops up first on google he has to be making a decent haul off all that loot and if he can't drop the price to $69 to compete then he looses. Just like how people like Overwatch better than Team Fortress.
Actually, Mercedes made cars before Ford came along. Ford was just first in creating the assembling line. I don't see the logic of paying 100% more for an Everdrive product over somebody else that made something cheap and affordable especially when it comes to something illegal like loading copies of games.
I'm over it, when are the nes, and snes knock off cartridges coming? All about competition, lower the price.. I also hate you cant get the red cartridge, only that ugly gray one.
this is a fake everdrive the real one is made by krikzz.com the one in the video is a cheap Chinese knockoff that will break due to horrible soldering. The Chinese stole the design from krikzz. Please purchase from the inventor and not thieves so he can continue to develop new flashcarts for other systems. This knockoff is subpart quality, with no warranty while krikzz gives a 1 hear warranty and a life time repairs.
+Costa “mrGREEK360” Apostolou I would love to continue to support krikzz. I bought a SNES Everdrive from him. My only issue is the price. When I have the option of either getting one or not due to the price I'm going to go for the one that is half the cost. I still think krikzz has a far superior product
+Toy Gander It should be worth noting that this is a clone of the EverDrive64 v2, which is no longer in production. It's comparable to the current v2.5, which is just over $100. The more expensive $175 version (which I believe you're referring to in the video) is the newer v3, which has a number of features the v2.5 (and therefore the ED64Plus) doesn't have. Also, since this is a clone, I feel like you should at least mention that to keep your viewers informed.
+Toy Gander I apologize for posting twice (on my phone, can't edit) but after looking into it a little more, the ED64Plus might actually be an EverDrive64 v1 clone, which would explain why it's cheaper. If that's the case, 64DD games will probably never work on it, as Krikzz stopped making v1 firmware updates long before 64DD support was added.
I got mine on Amazon about a month ago and it works with every game I've thrown at it! I love this thing!

+Migot I just uploaded the video thanks for watching!
i cant find this on aliexpress
They're on Ebay now. $60 to $70 with card.
+Toy Gander I think people had issues with No Mercy because the actual game had a save bug where it would randomly delete saves.
+Jwill1002 ahhh. That would be so annoying!
I’m sorry guys I’m new to this stuff but can I use this to play n64 games on pc
I ordered one from aliexpress, took over 5weeks to get. They sent one and 3 weeks later I hadn't received it - got lost from china post. I contacted them and eventually they sent another one and 2 1/2 weeks later I got it today. No SD card in mine.
+berighteous who was the seller at Aliexpress? I'll be sure to educate others not to get from them.
Can you save normally in a memory pak?
Some games you can, but I would recommend that you save to the sd everytime.
I know this is an old post but did you end up finding an answer?
Does anyone know about the game save ability? Games like Mario World and Zelda can't be beat in one sitting. Can you save the game and come back to it later?
he explained it in the video 5:08
Where did you buy it? Any link, love the fact that you can play banjo toie, and that it already has the n64 library
+mepicaeltrasero the original shipper ran out but this supplier seems to be legit
s.aliexpress.com/zQZ3qmqI
hello, does this have the real time clock function?
+Angel Vasquez not that I've noticed but I'm not 100% sure
It's supposed to be based on the Everdrive 64 v2.5 which does not have RTC.
I bought this cartridge, which was delivered to my address last week. I can say I am happy with it, it works just like this video. Still I think it is a bit expensive (compared to other flashcards for other consoles), I paid $78 on aliexpress but it is the cheaper product I have seen so far... and does the job pretty well.
do you have a link?
Here you go:

When I put mine in my N64 nothing shows up, like if there's no Cartridge in, can someone help me?
The ED cartridges use every pin where most gsmes don't, if other games work you may have a few messed up pins on your consoles cart reader
Can't find one on aliexpress, sadly. IIf I catch one on there anytime soon I am going to go ahead and order.
+D Clems yeah they appear to be hard to find now
i found it in wish.com
www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Custom-game-with-8g-card-free/2385005_32732017425.html
Thanks for the link. Though, the savings aren't that great, as the base models that Krikzz sells for both the n64 and snes are less than $30 more. These are the older revisions, but compatability is still really high and krikzz produces high quality boards with a warranty.
Everdrive 64 Plus support cheat codes?
No
Does this play hacked roms. More specifically, Zelda OOT randomizer roms?
If they are patched stable on an actual everdrive, they probably will be on this
Have you had any issues with it failing to boot?
+Toy Gander oh really? Ok that's something I can try changing, thanks for the response!!
+Toy Gander nice review. I personally like the everdrive 64 better. I bought mine from stoneage gamer.com. I also have the snes2sd and the everdrive mega drive for sega. They all work flawlessly.
+L ROD thanks! Yeah if the Everdrive 64 wasn't so expensive I would get it. How much did you pay for yours?
I paid about $130USD for v2.5
give a link where u bought it.. non i have seen come with as memory card and pre loaded games
+specialformula14 let me know what you think of it if you purchase it. Here is the link:

u bet
Yes, ive been looking into this too. But couldn't find a legit looking review in english. This is actually the ''enhanced edition'' btw. Can u play promblematic games like jet force gemini and pokemon stadium 2? Also where do u go for update firmware for this?
+TacticalPower88 thanks for your comment and like! I was having the same problem so I just bit the bullet. It plays every problematic game without issue. Pokemon Stadium 2 is one of my favorites. I wouldn't expect a firmware update since the site that they list "ed64plus.com" just brings up a generic wholesaler site. Thanks for the info too I just updated the title!
Can u link me to the exact link you purchased your game from? I like that your seller includes the complete romset with the patched roms.
+TacticalPower88 here is the link it went from $66 to $72 but it's still not a bad deal. I would also recommend upgrading shipping to epacket for an extra .62. You'll get iron half the time. Let me know what you think of it.

+Toy Gander Thanks for the info, its nice to see a RUclipsr that actively participates in their comment section.
+TacticalPower88 thank you for the support
Hi, I really need your help, how can I save the games? I mean the progress, most of them says "controller pak not connected"
+Franco Nicolás Méndez play around with the save types in the select game screen each rom is different
Toy Gander I tried, for example, Castlevania 64 with all options and nothing happens, thanks btw
+Franco Nicolás Méndez hrmm... not sure then I never had a problem with it. Maybe someone else in the comments knows something we don't
Toy Gander Yeah, I will wait, thank you
+Franco Nicolás Méndez what year is your n64 depending on if you have an early version you might also have some issues .as i did i hade to use a newer n64 console and i never hade the problem since.
How you save the games ??
Press reset
Does it work with a japanese n64? Thanks
It works on all N64 consoles you just have to put the region switch on n for Japan and USA and P for Europe and Australia
Can you play mortal trilogy on this cart?
+Emilio Molina yup 😁
Can it play Animal Crossing without any clock issues?
It seems to be a clone of Everdrive v2, so probably not
Ive used mine about 3 times so far and it freezes pretty often, anybody else have this issue?
It’s been around 4 years no issues 😁
What is this a copy of. I heard ED64 Plus before was a copy of Everdrive 64 v1. But I can't figerout what Everdrive 64 version ED64 Plus 2016 is. Can it be v2.5?I think about to buy Everdrive 2.5 but if Pokémon Stadium 2 works better on ED64 Plus 2016 I think I buy this instead.
O ed64 é muito bom mais não chega nem perto do cartucho original do krikzz eu fiz até um revil completou de ambas as versões da uma olhada no meu canal
Doe it play majora mask?
Yes it does as long as you have expansion pak
Who bought the ED64plus and it still works on it's retro console even that it's a Chinese clone of Everdrive and many are talking bad about it and referring to this article ? www.nintendolife.com/news/2017/07/flash_carts_could_be_slowly_killing_your_retro_consoles
so for this cart, do you have to reset to hard save? or is it like v3 of the everdrive from stone age gamer?
How long did it take to arrive?
+Daniel Hanga Around 20 days
mine came in 5days
+retro robs game corner wow that's a great turn around time
Does this game run ROM hacks? Specifically 19XXTE ROM Hack for Super Smash Bros. (U) And Goldeneye X ROM Hack for Perfect Dark (U) 1.2
+leodexe no unfortunately
Ive tested the latest GoldenEye X Rev.. and it worked fine.
This will run the 19xxTE ROM hack fine
19xx v11 works
super mario 64 last impact no work
Have you tested what else ED64 can simulate?
Do you know the list of emulated consoles?
Did you check if ED64 has the option to save the game at any time?
(I mean the state of the game at any time as in the emulator on the PC)
Does it come with smash bros?
+Joshua Santiago mine did

+Eric Cook I just checked Aliexpress and it looks like they were pulled and no longer carry them. That's a bummer because I got mine for around $60-$70 on there. It looks like eBay or Amazon might be your only option 😕
+Toy Gander that's kind of what I was thinking too I saw other places too but for like over $100 witch that ant worth it I was hoping to find it used maybe but no luck so keep that in mind it u want to sell yours, wouldn't count on it but maybe lol. but I'll keep looking and if u see one let me know. I just wish I got it when I could for the $50 I'm really kicking my self in the ass over that.
+Toy Gander how much did you pay for yours
+Toy Gander can you give me the link to where you bought yours so I can get the cheapest possible price
+GET TO THE CHOPPA they unfortunately stopped selling them. I've been searching Alliexpress and it looks like they have been pulled.😕
If anyone can point me to the right files or just upload their entire SD card somewhere for me with the NES emulator functioning on an NTSC system I would be forever in your debt. Please someone :(
Toy Gander: Sorry for using your video comments basically as a support thread in advance lol, like I knew support for this thing was basically non-existant from the cloners when I bought it, but I thought there would be a larger community behind it helping eachother out.
Hey there. Mine works fine. You just launch the .nes file from the browser, instead of launching the emulator and then selecting the rom. Mine is from the disc that came with my ED64+. I have only tested Crystalis though.
Here's my SD Sans roms mega.nz/#!TdlSBarA!hxV9wM_m7dBhXnC1v_390KMyHEpY0hV_pkIIv4L6IfQ
FUEGO JOHNSON How do you make nes and Japanese n64 games to save on cartridge?
also thank you for the review I was wondering about this product and it is safe because the one for my Gameboy I got one that says and I was curious about how it worked before I bought it now I know thinks your video thank you very much and again if anybody can find one online for a good price or something like it please let me know either message me on here or my email is down below thanks everybody and make sure the video
if you plan on buying 10 n64 games you might as well save money by getting an everdrive 64 v3 and enjoy the whole n64 library including 64DD like f-zero x expansion kit, it can emulate nes and gameboy too
Would it be possible to switch the chip into a standard n64 cartridge? This looks so ugly
Lol I have that tv
Nobody fell bad buying a chinese copy of Krizk's ED64 (v1.0)?
Well people probably said the same thing about other automakers that came along after Ford. Krikzz still pops up first on google he has to be making a decent haul off all that loot and if he can't drop the price to $69 to compete then he looses. Just like how people like Overwatch better than Team Fortress.
+Nickelbawker nailed it
Actually, Mercedes made cars before Ford came along.
You nailed with this reply
Sucks in quality in comparison to 64drive and everdrive 64 v3 quality wise.
this is a fake everdrive the real one is made by krikzz.com the one in the video is a cheap Chinese knockoff that will break due to horrible soldering.
Costa Apostolou lol wah wah
What is more to invent? Deal with it, that's real world.. This ain't wonderland ok? Does that makes sense?
While I would of course download the N-64 roms myself the fact that the roms come preloaded is technically not legal.
0:17 why the hell didn't you reveal the price? Kind of an important detail in a review no? You made me click that dislike button.
This is a thrash,a worst chinese cópi of the original ed by krikzz!
