How does the ujoint stay on the spline side? Is there a hole drilled in that to?

Good to know, I took the easy way out Ididit column rack n pinion steering . Put in Heidts super ride II

A new rag joint replacement would have saved tonnes of time. $40 replaces the original… you had the longer steering shaft…
