if you wire the 2 ohm DVC speaker, into parallel you can get 1 ohm load out of it. But if the sundown, is 1 ohm DVC wired in parallel then its at 0.5 Ohm.
A 1000 watts at 1 ohm is the same as a 1000 watts at 2 ohms. With the exception of the amp is more efficient at 2 ohms and has better control of the sub. Personally I prefer running 2 ohms. Now look at the efficiency of both the subs. I promise you the l7x is far more efficient. Which means it takes less to make sound. Being a 1 ohm sub doesn't make it better in any way, shape, or form. I would never buy a sundown any version they have over a l7x. The l7x 15 almost did what the sundown 18 did in the one sub challenge. The 15 did a 180.2 db. The sundown 18 did a 182db. What do you think is going to happen when the l7x 18 comes out? That's right. It's going to eat sundown for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is nothing on the market like the l7x and because kicker engineers and designs subs and sundown only designs subs. They don't ever have anything like it.
@LeonD519 there's a lot you can do to pick up db. More power, more speakers, box location, proper box. The guy that hit a 180 has a vehicle built for spl and one note only.

I have a sundown xv3 12s and fi neo 4.11 18 and psi platform 4 massive audio xlr and 99Dd 18? and number one on my list for low distortion best musical playing subwoofer is? Dd for the win then fi then psi then massive audio then sundown believe it or not massive audio xlr sounds better than sundown to me

Explain want you have to do to get two extra DB? Sale both Kicker and Sundown. And also what did that guy say that hit the 180 with that Kicker?

1000 watt 1 ohm no different than 500 watt 4ohm.
You should get the DD 9512L and compare with both of those.

You need to buy the 1 ohm solo x then compare the 2 if you are comparing ohm load. So far you are still wrong in comparison.
