Give Eastman a good look too, theyve been my favourite acoustic maker (and possibly electric too) for a good while now since this was made :D

@@Paul-D True, nice guitars, but over a grand here in Spain... the Java is half the price.... not sure the Eastman is twice as good :)

Size mainly and the java has a better preamp system. But i personally dont like any piezzo sound lol

Good stuff.. It's 25 years since I bought a Tanglewood.. I hear that they are making all their guitars in China now... My question is... Do you think the quality has suffered because of this?

Ive honestly been of the opinion that as long as a guitar is made to a certain specification it doesnt matter where a guitar is made. A bunch of machines in china is no different to a bunch of machines in Europe or the US to me. And guitars have been coming out of china for decades so the workpool there also has the potential for plenty of experience. So i think each of these tanglewood guitars fit the breif in their price points with no real issues 😁

I have a 15 year old one that I've only just started plying with, the action was terribly high, no bone nut or saddle, ironically its worth more now than what I payed for it in a closing down sale. On the plus side the wood has aged beautify
