Just so you know that sentry bot outside the house with the ghoul was friendly and so was the ghoul till you attacked his bot lol and you can connect the purifers to each other doesnt have to be direct to generator

Notes for you from someone who has played ~1,000 hours in this game which I 100% know you will probably ignore but I can’t help myself. I made these as I watched so they are in the order of when they came up in your gameplay.
kill the ragstag loot the body cook the meat +25 carry weight for a while - you found this in hour 5 ish but I’m leaving it ( tbh loot all the bodies for meat and cook it mutant hound meat is good too) dogmeat can also carry stuff for you.
Set up a basic camp at each settlement with extra water and food when you come back if you have settlers there you can reup your supplies or sell them.
For ghouls shoot at the legs once they are down they are harmless you can hit them bed to save bullets and help with being overwhelmed.
Antibiotics will cure your infection
Shipments are not going to go directly to the settlements but you can put them in them and are lightweight for the amount given
Use the mines you pick up to take out overpowered enemies - you did this in hr 5.41 ish the enclave building
Armor is great - Pocketed mods on your armor will increase your carry weight
You are under leveled because you aren’t finishing quests all the way you get a big bump of so once it’s complete
Take the legendary weapons and armor sell them if you don’t need them.
If you built your relationship with the factions minutemen or bos you can call them for support in big fights.
I keep my weapon away in any social situations and in cities so I dont accidentally kill somebody
Molotov cocktails are great for crowd control and worth trying out - you did this in 5.43 ish enclave building
Always enter power armor from behind.
Raising your relationship with BOS will give you access to a vertibird that will fly you to play, effectively creating a fast travel that you can use while over encumbered
Mr handsy and can you can kill by shooting their appendages off and they will float to you but explode, as long as you avoid the range you should be fine
Loot all the glue adhesive for modding your armor and weapons 100% worth it
The password tells you how many letters are in the final password in the same spot picking random ones is not it.
Traveling merchants will go between your settlements you are more likely to find them there than anywhere else
Take the fusion cores out of the power armors after you leave them because your companions will enter them otherwise.
You can connect the powered equipment to other equipment and same with generators and it should power them all as long as you have enough generators to equipment so you would have one wire in and one out of each thing in a big ring which should help with the distance issue
You’ll get better deals get more when selling and discounts on buying if you take the perks associated with charisma - taken at hour 5.53 . You can also grab local leader and build shops in your settlements that sell ammo.
In survival you can fill empty bottles with water yourself instead of or in addition to waiting.
Quests you have in miscellaneous are usually pretty short you can knock out a few of them.
One shot to the super mutant suciders arm holding the mini use will detonate where it is great for killing a bunch if they are a bit from you.
Listen to the silver shroud for a bit you may like those quests they are a bit of fun
You can scrap weapons in fallout 4 if not in the weapons workbench by dropping it on the ground in a settlement and scraping it
Sell the drugs you’ll never use all the ones you find in the wasteland and they are worth a ton ( you did this right at the end a bit )
Eddies holotapes are for a nick valentine quest
I like that you killed Phyllis for having a gun in your face as you had yours drawn to hers. Put your gun away.
Repair your power armor if you are going to use it there is a power armor station in diamond city you can use
10 carry weight per level if strength
I prefer to watch vanilla gameplay when you are new, the mods get complicated and some are just dumb.
You can jump from anywhere in power armor it’s fine
Strong is my fave companion you have to tell him to come with you then tell dogmeat to come and then you can send him to any settlement go back to trinity towers
You increased your chances for finding ammo you always found some but then increased the chances 6:31
Fallout does a good job allowing you to loot
Cait can also be sent to a settlement and used for free labor collect them
Your not looting enough but you are also not using the junk well because it is for the settlements modding gear and cooking
As you level up higher level monsters are going to spawn hence the death laws and the behemoth
The drive in is a great large central settlement you ran right through recommended to return
He can wear the stuff you just need to equip it for him.
Jangles the monkey has always been there, he is an alarm/trap trigger
Greygarden homestead is part of a quest line given from the institute.

On EVERY OTHER DIFFICULTY BESIDES SURVIVAL. On survival they don't, no companion does. And if you don't heal them they'll leave you.
Interesting tip I don't see many people do, if you pick up a weapon, you will get the ammo that was in the magazine at the time, you can then drop the weapon later to not get the weight.
It's not a massive amount usually, but everything helps, yeah?
You guys cool if I remove survival mode so I can save whenever and don't lose anymore progress and can teleport so we can progress the game faster?
Personally I play on survival mode with a mod that enables saving at any time. I think that would be a really good option, as traveling on foot is surprisingly enjoyable whenever you're not having to repeat the journey every time you die

Survival is only a pain really since if you're on console (it being a Bethesda game with its random crashes) it annoys you. Several hours I've lost because it's decided to crash randomly when I haven't been able to save for awhile in a bed... but yeah idk if it crashes at random on PC though. If it does then yeah go install the mod that let's you save or move the difficulty to "very hard".
There's a few QOL mods for Survival you can get. There's "Sleep or Save" which just lets you run up to any unowned bed and press R to make a save. There's also "Survival Options" so you can enable fast travel. Those are in the in-game mods shop (Content I think they call it now?) that you can download really quick.
If you go on Nexus Mods, there's a more immersive mod that turns cigarettes' into a useable item. You'll pull one out, light it up, and it'll create a save for you.

Would love for this to be a regular series! Also best advice with dog meat, when entering a building or outside coming up to enemies, command him to stay. You can sneak without him alerting enemies and he wont block doorways or just get in the way. Just don’t forget to go back and make him follow after you are done. Plus give him all the junk you pick up he can carry a lot.

1 minute is 20 minutes in fallout 4, so yeah it would have taken roughly the same time as a minecraft 100 days
I haven't played fallout 4 for long but personally I didn't like his starting build. I kinda understand for the caps in missions but I feel like if he put more into agility and lucky it would have helped him. Agility I believe, off the top of my head while writing, helps with your ap decrease and reload speed.

I really just love how he continues to pick fights with the most deadly non-combatant / friendly NPCs and robots in the game but never finds out cause he preemptively chucks nades at them
As someone who likes long videos, I really really enjoyed this. There was a lot going on and I've never played Fallout so its really cool seeing a vanilla playthrough of someone who is playing it for fun and just having a good time. I hope you continue doing this because I'm all for this type of content, length, and everything.

Btw Dog Meat can't actually die Like Preston Garvey and Grandma Murphy because Dog Meat is considered to be an essential NPC. Without Dog Meat you can't progress the storyline

36:00 you're not exactly under leveled, just under prepared. You need gun nut or atleast to drop by goodneighbor or diamond city and find some better mods for that hunting rifle, go sneaky as well. (Sneak perk). Does wonders as a sniper because the sneak attack bonus.
41:55 essentially, you can get away with sleeping 7 hours in a "clean" bed and you won't be tired plus youll get the well rested bonus. 3 hours for the sleeping bag but its gonna make you tired because of it being a "dirty" bed. Bethesdas way of saying "screw you, no save scumming in survival without repercussions entirely, the filthy beds and sleeping bags are meant as only 1 hour sleeping/save points just in case, not used to get the well rested bonus (+10% experience boost i believe).
42:40 infections are caused by sleeping in a random "unclean" bed. It can happen at any point if the bed is out in the open without 4 walls, a roof, etc.. thats the price you pay for saving your game literally. Use an antibiotic to get rid of diseases and such.
56:26 dogmeat does heal by himself, in a mode other than survival mode, whoever told you that obviously hasn't played survival mode. If you dont heal him and walk off, he'll head back to an owned settlement until you go to fetch him again.
1:06:25 softshell mirelurk meat, you can cook at a cooking station, its a food object. Not entirely useless. But dirty water and the mirelurk egg to make the omelot, hands down best healing object in the game aside from the refreshing beverage of course. Simply because of the small amount of weight that each one takes up so you can have way more than most other food objects.

Def seeing some different ways to approach things even after playing this game for years on end.

1:27:14 it's optional in case somebody who is playing doesn't have the parts on them and they don't have the required high intelligence to jury rig them, it was a way that nobody could get locked out of that quest if they didn't want high intelligence at the start of the game. It gives you an option to go to other places to collect these parts in order to do the same thing as the other option does. Fallout 4 doesn't have a good and evil choice thing like fallout 3 and new Vegas did sadly.. if only..

1:42:33 dont ever see yourself sniping but you use a hunting rifle lol if thats the case then you should switch that out to a combat rifle, still semi auto and the rifleman perk still counts for it because its a rifle. I thought you intended to deck out that hunting rifle thats why i mentioned the sniping comment with sneak up above. Either way, sneak is a good one to have, but combat rifles would be your better bet since you can fire them faster instead of the bolt action shot that a hunting rifle does which would equal more damage output in the long run.
1:45:55 the only things survival mode adds is the sleeping to save crap, but you won't have the "being tired, being thirsty, being hungry, you're infected with any kind of anything" aside from that, you cant fill up bottles anywhere and some of the cooking station stuff disappears if not in survival, like the antibiotics or is that chemistry station ? I forget. Its a cakewalk on anything other than survival because theres less to worry about. Ammo doesnt weigh anything outside survival, carry weight is significantly increased because its not realistic per se. You take a bit less damage and can deal a bit more damage, bethesdas way of trying to keep it semi fair on you outside survival.

2:07:13 sentinel effects are OP when it comes to vats, you are considered to be "standing still and not moving" while you're in vats doing damage as a melee user. Get heavy combat armor that has the sentinel effect on them along with a sentinel melee weapon and you're literally taking little to no damage at all. It's insane.

2:36:44 the people that play fallout 4 only in power armor is actually simple enough, there's about 5-7 fusion cores you can find in the sanctuary/north west sector area of the map, pair that with nuclear physicist perk and the repair bobblehead on top of the coverage assembly plant catwalk and pop some water purifiers down in sanctuary and you can keep a steady supply of fusion cores pretty easily by selling the water for fusion cores at diamond city or wherever.
2:37:27 your rifle damage increased from that perk PLUS you ignore 20% of enemy resistances with that perk as well. Less resistances means hitting harder.
2:52:30 yes, higher the number. The better the resistances on power armor. It goes T45, T51, T60, X01. Not including any DLC numbers. Thats all base game.

2:57:54 the easiest way to tell if a purifier is powered is by looking at the front of it, if its lit up, its powered and vice versa. Run a wire in a single line through all purifiers then another wire through all generators, then connect 1 wire from 1 gen to 1 purifier. Theyll be linked altogether since its considered 1 straight wire through all instead of trying to figure out which wire goes where.
3:04:10 purified water only spawns in the workbench if you are away from your settlement but there is a time limit, i forget how many hours you can have to be out of that cell but thats how it works. Theres also an issue with water not spawning in if you have empty bottles in the workbench or dirty water.. bethesda bug that never got fixed as well..

3:05:30 i feel your pain on the hacking. I got so pissed off with not understanding it that i literally took the time to look up how to do it. Its simpler than you think actually. Say you click on a random word, example : raise. And it has a 2 likeness for that word. That essentially means you need to find a similar word that has 2 letters that are in the same position as 2 of the letters in "raise", so it could be any of those 2 letters but you know for a fact that 2 of those letters are in the correct position. So take it a step further. You go through and you find the word "phase", the "s" and the "e" are in the same spot in that word as they are in "raise", meaning, that could potentially be the correct password. Click it and it tells you for example it has a likeness of 3 instead of just 2, so you automatically know that "s" is the 4th letter and "e" is the 5th letter, now you got 1 other likeness to deal with so you can automatically go through and mark out words that you know dont end in "s" and "e", but the next word you choose needs to have 3 "like" letters from "phase" and 2 "like" letters from "raise", i personally found it easier to get a piece of paper and write them all down at the start and mark out words that dont match up as i go so sooner or later youll know which word is right. After you do it for awhile and understand it, youll be able to do it in your head easily instead of writing anything down. Just do it step by step, eventually there will only be 2 or 3 words left and you can guess it pretty easily nonetheless just from those options left. Hope this helps in the future for everybody that doesn't understand hacking.

I just feel like if you took this much time to edit and upload a video as good and as long as this, then I atleast would want some people to be commenting left and right throughout all of it just to make sure they're liking it ya know? Lmao you can still wear power armor without a fusion core... you just can't use vats or run, it will be a slow walk like it is when you're overencumbered, the fusion core is what gives it those abilities.

5:59:16 I wouldn't call myself a "seasoned" survival player but I have been playing fallout 4 since its launch on ps4 when the ps4 first came out, I'm sure there are many others that are the same as me if not more so because I've taken long breaks here and there but I always come back to it within a few months. But I'd say for your 1st time playing fallout 4, and on survival mode I might add, you've done pretty well for not knowing a whole lot about the game, it's enjoyable to watch somebodies new experiences and it has a certain flair to it that I wish I could get back, I miss the old days where I didn't know jack about the game at all, there's a sense of entertainment from getting all these new things happen for the very first time that you'll never be able to experience again with this game, I'm sure you know more about F76 than I do and you would probably get that same nostalgia feeling seeing somebody else play it for the 1st time ever because you know what to expect, only they don't play it like you do so it's technically considered a brand new experience for yourself to see that. I don't know if you'll ever see any of these comments but regardless I'm answering every single question you asked because I know you put in hella time for this video and I'm doing the same back for you.
6:17:44 you spec'ed for gunslinger and not commando, gunslinger is for single fire pistols, commando is for anything automatic, so you'd be doing even more damage and using less bullets with that commando perk if you got for the auto plasma rifle.

Dude pick up some of the drops from legendary enemies, especially the armour has really strong perk effects 😅 Also try to use a weapon station, you can significantly improve damage by upgrading the receiver of your guns even without the gun nut perk. Aaaand consider going to vault 81 just west of diamond city, (you already have the location outline) there is a super strong rifle that’s essential for a sniper build.

Terminals - on the side after you pick a password to check, it'll have a number. That's how many letters in the real password is shared with the one you tried. For example, let's say the word you picked was TRIES and there's FRIED, LIARS and BLIND left to pick from. If FRIED is correct, the number would be 2 since IE are shared between the both words. If LIARS is correct, the number would be 1 as only S is shared. If BLIND is the right answer there would also be only 1 shared letter - I.
So the strategy is to pick out one word, hope that there's shared letters. Pick out a second word that DOESN'T share letters with the first word you picked, hoping that it gives you some extra letters. That should give you a few words that share letters from both of your first picks. Then go through and get rid of duds/refresh guesses. Use the same strategy to try and figure out which word is the password. Once you wrap your head around it it's not hard, but they don't exactly give you a good description of how to do it. If you have the contraptions workshop, one of the most (and only) useful things you can do it put a vacuum hopper next to the workbench. This will pull out any items that are inside of the worshop.
Food, scrap, and water has caps, so if theres X amount in the workshop, no more will be collected. But by empying the workshop with the hopper, it will constantly generate new resources.
Of course, the downside is that you cant use scrap at a different settlement. As in, if you have 100 steel at one settlement, and travel to another settlement that is connected by supply lines, you will be able to build with that 100 steel. But if you empty the workshop, you'll have to manually go to the settlement to get the resources.
So the way I do it is to have vacuum hoppers at the settlements I normally travel to, like the castle or the drive in, but then settlements really far away do not have the hoppers, so any food/scrap that they generate can be accessed via supply lines.

Suggestion: instead of completely turning off survival mode, what I did was I downloaded the smokable cigarettes mod. In survival it allows you to quick save. There is the trade-off of taking about 10 seconds to actually smoke but it made survival a lot easier

so, one of the best parts about expanding your settlements network is having not only guaranteed bed, but a CLEAN bed that you sleep 8 hours or whatever for Well Rested because the +10% XP is wonderful. doing a 1-hour quicksave in a sleeping bag might be convenient but removes your XP bonus and the dirty beds are more likely to give infection. if you talk to companion enough, then when you sleep you get Lover's Embrace which is +15% XP. probably doesn't work with dogmeat 🙃
i have another survival toon thats over level 100 and most of that major XP came from maxing out the Idiot Savant perk under Luck. if it triggers when completing a quest sometimes i would get like 2-3 levels instantly

-EDIT: suggestion for running around terrain is keep tapping the VATS button cuz not only will it help give a heads-up about an upcoming enemy, it will reveal landmines- _(nm you mention this later in vid)_
EDIT2: sometimes the water is the safest way to get to a destination. if ur END is 5+ then one point into Aqua Boy lets u swim without taking rads. swimming is kinda boring, but its safe!
EDIT3: you mentioned Waiting vs sleeping; u can still do it. sit on a couch/chair/etc and press T and u can wait. like in diamond city, u can sit on a stool and wait until 8am then the normal vendors come out
EDIT4: take Fusion Core out of powerarmor when not using; especially in settlements. if the settlement comes under attack then your jackass settlers will steal the powerarmor Lool
EDIT5: you can scrap weapons/armor at crafting stations
I am pretty sure that you can send strong back, just get him as a companion and then dismiss him back to a settlement. 6:23:07

I don't know if anyone said this yet, but when hacking, the likeness on the right side is how similar the word is to the correct room. So a likeness of 0 means that none of the letters are in the correct spot for that word. If it's a likeness of 1, then one of the letters in the word you just checked is in the correct position for the password

If you are going to the dlc's, make sure to bring nick valentine to far harbor. There are a bunch of unique dialouge and things that you can only unlock with nick valentine.
