I’m loathe to change my current phone as it’s really cost prohibitive to buy an iPhone 13 or 13 Pro. But equally, the resell value and battery health will just get worse the longer I keep it. My first world problems, clearly.

I bought an iPhone 13 Pro Max new in October 2021 and upgraded to the 14 Pro Max at launch and didn’t like it much (the battery life seemed better on 13 pro max) then upgrade to the 15 pro max hoping it would fix the issues and now I wish I never got rid of my 13 pro max.
I came from that phone 2 years ago so no not a good phone to buy anymore, and my current phone is 11 from the 2 year old discount of when the 13 was latest and new, and I agree with this guy 3 or 4 years is reasonable if you’re rich and got a lot of money with you every year or 2 to upgrade

The Pro-max and max series phones tend to be way more expensive to repair than the base models so if you’re clumsy like myself and need something reliable that you can easily repair for yourself with reasonably priced obtainable parts, go for a standard model.
Still rocking a 13 pro. If you have a 13 pro you don’t need to upgrade unless your phone is messed up. If it’s up and running like it was when you first got it…no need to upgrade
I got the 14 pro a few months ago best phone in terms of design , performance and cameras one thing they holds it back is the battery but having came from the 11 pro max before which was an amazing battery pro max always do have better batteries

I got the iPhone 15 instead of the pro model just bc I have smaller hands and prefer smaller devices. It’s the exact same as the 14 but much easier to hold onto. I think the speakers sound much better as well. It also has a much smoother keyboard when you type. Idk why. I’m not a tech expert. I do prefer the iPhone 14 colors tho. But the iPhone 15 and 15 pro looks way more professional and aesthetically pleasing. I thought the iPhone 15 blue was white looking, however you can def tell it’s a light blue, almost baby blue but much lighter. Which gives it that more sophisticated look. And again if you’re like me that doesn’t like to use a phone case all the time to show of your phone, the 15 is much easier to hold. I’m not concerned about dropping if. To me it also seems to run much smoother. Now I’ve just had it for 24 hours so maybe I’m being biased since I just bought it. But in my opinion I find it much more user friendly and what an iPhone sound feel like, both touch screen as well as the body. Plus everyone (including me) had the space purple color 14, so it’s nice to switch up. Also if you are going with a 2 year plan might as well upgrade to the 15/15 pro bc it’s only a few more dollars than the 14. The only thing you’re missing out on is three cameras. But I’ve taken a lot of photos since having this, I cannot tell a difference whatsoever. In fact so far I’m enjoying the 15 camera slightly more than I did the 14. The zoom is much better. Also when switched to cinematic mode It’s quality blows me away. That’s how good it is. I would much rather find myself shooting a movie/music video/home videos with the cinematic view on the iPhone 15 over the 14. Again all my opinion but I’m someone who likes the feel of the touch screen as well as the entire phone, as well as the camera. Oh and if I didn’t mention the audio is sooo much better. I also enjoy the fact it charges with a type c cable instead of a regular iPhone charger, that way if I forget to bring mine anywhere, I know anyone who has an android, will have a type C cable that I can use.
The best value for money iPhone is definitely the 12. Its only $20 more than the 11 and it could be found for under $250 while the 13 is almost a $100 increase.

Here’s a great update: I found out that my current phone (iPhone 14) has emergency via satellite and crash detection which the iPhone 13 doesn’t have and the camera is a lot better as well so I personally recommend the iPhone 14
do NOT go for the SE. i have the 2nd gen and it is horrible. it was good for maybe the first year but anything after its horrible. i’ve had it for 3 years now and the battery life sucks and it’s constantly charging. the screen is small but good enough, and the camera is horrible.
