I saw Keith Jarrett perform at The Blue Note in Boulder, CO in around 1977. Have loved his music ever since, and the Koln Concert is my all-time favorite.
Don't know how many times I've listened. I just listened again on a trip today. So beautiful. Starting around 7:30 is my favorite of the whole performance.
I never heard of him before. My late husband was over the moon of his performance. And yes... he so good. Fingers are magic on the piano. Love the Koln concert!
After about 50 years ... it is difficult to hear anything better ..... ah Keith ... I have never found that autograph of yours :-( Honor to one of the greatest pianists of all time I hope to meet you again sometime .... somewhere ... I hope

Je trouve votre jeu un peu "jeune", état qui changera avec vos expériences de vie. Mais, en tout cas, votre fragilité musicale est absolument intéressante. Very interesting to listen to and great job. Makes me wonder what Bach would sound like played by Bach. It also highlights what a master of rhythm and dynamics Jarret is (never mind harmony).You've got all the notes and phrasing but it doesn't quite hang together with the same grace and lyricism of the master. Still amazing though.

Valentin, this version is impressive, you play the piano beautifully, the sound you bring out is heavenly. If Keith Jarrett is lucky enough to hear it, there is no doubt that he would congratulate you, maybe he already has!

I sometimes search for the Köln concert here on RUclips, only to find various attempts by others to "perform" it. Always a disappointment for me. But I must say, that this particular attempt seems to be on a different level. I have right now only listened to a few minutes though, but it is promising. But then again, of course, I was searching for the original! :)
well, dear people, it is a very nice try - according to my listening to some other performers, this is probably one of 2 the best trys of playing cover of an extremly sofisticated piece of music.. and it is also extremly difficult to get into the complexity of groove and such genial performance, like K. Jarret did - based on enormous knowledge of music .. so it would be very nice to study this even much more precisly in matter of rhytm, sound and pedalling, and also be able to play this on other pianos, since Jarret played this on Bosendorfer imperial.. and absolutely one should improve the piano technique , too.. I liked the most some last seconds of playing, when it was your improvisation - the sound was immediately more beautiful and more connected with your soul.. Keep on, best wishes

Now I want to know how it is that that fellow reached a level of skill but , try as he might , no . NOW I know a bit why some people get into Juilliard with an attempt at some famous work and some don’t . Because this I can hear , I suppose .

Hey! A bit of both. I've gotten my musical degree at the conservatory 7 years ago. At that time, I was able to improvise , and also learn the keys by listening the track over and over and using a old score from my father of the Koln Concert. Here, I played for fun as it was my last "live play" before med school. I'm far from reaching the greatness of Jarrett of course, I just wanted to pay tribute to his beautiful music and have some fun with something other than classical music. Thus , i have taken no jazz course at all . And looking back seven years later now, I'm quite sad because I'm all rusty because I can't find the time to play enough...
The piano was a beat up mess and the concert almost didn't happen. A tuner rearranged the strings on the piano so it was playable and Keith played quite differently and quite aggressively as a result.
Why did you replace the original soundtrack of the album "The Köln concert" by the soundtrack of the same concert played by a pianist from Europe o ... ,, played by Tomasz Trzcinski? !!!
i agree its opportunistic and very annoying not to mention disrespectful to kj i wanna hear the original not copy merchants you could at least link us to the original for comparison its a nice try but no one can stand in for KJ
Hello! "cover" means that I'm playing a original music that is not a music I wrote, I didn't mean the photograph... I will change the picture if you don't want me to use it. I have found it years ago on google when I had no idea about copyrights. Let me know what I should do.
