1992 Honda XR250L - Pt. 1 - Will it run?

Just picked up this 92 XR250L for dirt cheap. I look over the bike to check out all the areas that need some attention and see if I can get the motor to show some signs of life. More to come!

The carbs are the major problem if they have been sitting too long with ethanol fuel. I have a 1991 with only 1600 miles but had to replace or rebuild anything brake fluid or ethanol gas touched. What was amazing, like you said was the inside of the gas tank. Very little corrosion and I live on a barrier island in central Florida. One problem I had was the spark plug lead had turned brittle and very little spark got to the plug. Good luck with your investment 👍

I have the same bike year and everything i rebuilt the carb dont know all the connections

If it's not a California model, there's only three connections. Float bowl drain, float bowl overflow (in the case of a stuck float valve) and main carb vent on the top
