Hello. I’m just seeing this so doubtful you will even see my question but I’ve watched a bunch of vid’s on this now and for some reason, on my Mercury 75hp 2019 motor, the yellow terminator cap I pull out of the motor, won’t fit back on the other end of the vesselview. The vesselview does snap back into the where I pull the yellow cap from, but then that yellow cap won’t go on the other part of the vesselview. Any thoughts? This is making me nuts.
Lol never doubt! So you could have a pin that’s crooked or bent not allowing it to snap in. Inspect the pins. Do you have the right ends plugged into there said spots?
@@nookiehookers8859 thanks! I went back and for the 18th time in a week, looked again at the configuration because it wasn’t making sense it was too easy. So the purple end part on the vesselview that you pull off initially, I guess I only “saw” pulling off the purple cover, not the whole end piece so the other yellow part was not fitting on. Derrrr, finally figured out what I was missing. Got it now, all good! New boat owner here but determined, as a female, to learn as much as I can. Kind of like doing things myself.
Any idea why the first time hooking up my VesselView and taking the boat out it wasn’t starting.. had power to my trolling motor but no power to ignition. I unplugged the vessel view and started right up
I used a small chisels, and LARGE hammer to drive mine on. Then I cut off the excess wires??? Travis, I PROMISE not to tell your wife how much this shit costs. LOL... Your stuff is way TOO fancy. I got a 90-hp Yamaha NO bells or whistles. NICE JOB..
Paul Monaco lmao she was with me! She encouraged me to get this boat setup they way I want cause I plan on keeping it for some time! The old 96 Starcraft was plain and simple as well! With the VesselView I can do all my own maintenance and repairs! If it throws a code it will tell me why
I installed one on my verado at the helm thru the smartcraft junction box and noticed that the power and bluetooth light are on all the time, even with batteries in off position. Is this normal?
Mounted mine I useing a set of heavy duty zip ties on a 150 fourstroke.
Will this work in conjunction with smart gauges or does it use the same 10 pin connector?
Exactly what I was looking for, answered my mounting question, thanks
Ken Hauck awesome your welcome
Nice video. Answered all my questions about installation.
Thanks
salidaboy209 great glad I could help

Jason Clark whoa not sure what happened there! Did you get it figured out?
I did. Just a loose wire where it plugs in at. Thanks for asking. Appreciate it
Jason Clark man that’s awesome it was something simple your welcome tight lines my friend
You can just zip tie it inside. Does not need to be mounted on outside to pick up wireless signal.
