Why didn’t you just put a filler in the cauldron before you started to put the foam in? Like crumbled news paper towards the top. Then put the foam over that. Nobody would have known or seen a difference. But the difference for you would have been saved time & you could have saved 4 cans of foam. But it came out so cute. I bet the kids loved it. A real witches cauldron wow how cool is that. So cool!

Thank you! Yes, the kids love it. I have a very big yard and one of the neighborhood kids' favorite things to do is "find" the witches and see what they're cooking up each year. I move them to a new place every year. Hindsight is always 20/20... if I were to make another one I would do it a little different, but I think that goes with just about any project. Your first attempt is usually always a "try" and then you learn and tweak it the next time. Thanks for watching!

Home Depot also has cheap sheet Styrofoam that you can use to fill up your caldron, so you use the Great Stuff as a kind of glue between the sheets. You can use the same sheets and 'glue' to make gravestones or full out cheap dollar store gravestones.

Use a piece of foam board cut to fit about a 3rd of the way down inside the planter so you don't have to use so much spray foam

Great idea... use Christmas lights under the foam

Thank you! Christmas lights are a great idea. I didn't think about using them in the foam, I used some under the cauldron to make it look like it was lit though. Thanks so much for watching!
