Hey, I'm a Protector of Earth speedrunner and I absolutely love this video. I agree with basically all you said (especially about the Plant boss in Seattle that shit is stupidly difficult. I still die to it.) A couple of things I'd like to mention. - You can actually increase your health! Through-out the game there are these collectibles which increase your health. We currently collect 2 in the run. - Tired of fighting enemies? Just want to get things over with? Just put all your points into Cannonbolt. Eventually, you'll unlock a special-heavy attack (circle to triangle on PS2) which basically functions as a screen clear on most enemies (with only the toughest and bosses taking more than 1) - Based on some theorizing in the game files, its actually completely likely this game was rushed to hell and they replaced one of the lead programmers part way through development - Oh yeah, and if you ground pound as Cannonbolt and XLR8 on some ledges you go flying. Cool video though. Have been a fan of your content for a while and was excited to see this pop up in my subscription feed.
Appears like it, for example the voice lines while they don't play in the PSP version do actually appear to be in the files. We cant find them, but they do appear to exist
@@DashinBashin Eh? Voice lines? For Ben and the aliens that are playable when you defeat enough baddies? Because if there are voice lines for Bens other aliens, that would be huge.
The one move I'd always love pulling off with Heatblast is that "Armageddon" move where he jumps up and rains fire on everyone before crashing back down. A shame it drained the energy so much, but hey, at least getting Master Control later on was a nice way to work around that.
Does anybody know this one move were if you play multiplayer, and go up to the 2 player and both of you perform your special attacks. A green burst of energy start to appear between the both of you, what is that called?

I loved to play as Four Arms and Heatblast. They were like the only ones i picked. Heatblasts Tornado was my Favourite move but the four arm yeet was my secret weapon. It should have had a Super attack Meter like the reboot game.
I loved playing this game, it was such a classic and I loved Grandpa Max’s line when you beat up the RV: “Try that again and I’m TAKING AWAY your sumo slammer cards!”
This game's really good. I had it on the Wii as a kid, and remember spending many hours playing it. Another good Ben 10 game was Ben 10 Vilgax attacks, made and set during the Alien Force era.

This game had so much charm and love! An absolute childhood favorite of mine, especially as a fan of the series. If you have time, definitely go back and play the game with a friend. It is an absolute blast. Looking forward to you talking about the DS version, since I played that one before the ps2 version. Also, Animo is my favorite boss fight in the game. Heatblast gang rise up!
As I remember playing this game since release for several years. I can say that this game aged well and I’m glad you made me smile over my childhood game, thanks Diamondbolt! 💖 Also 9:26 POWER!!! UNLIMITED POWER!!!!!
I honestly think the best link this game has with the animated series are the photographs taken at each of the levels. Really gives it a feel of being an adventure canon to the main story.
Great video! I think Ultimate Alien Cosmic Destruction, Alien Force and Protector of Earth games are all on par. I related to your thoughts so much, back in the good old PS2 days but I didn’t find it that difficult.
This and cosmic destruction were the only console Ben 10 games I had and I played them to death. Although I played protector of earth when I was pretty young and can't find it anywhere. Thanks for your video it was quite the nostalgia blast.
I grew up with the DS version after seeing my best friend play it on his DS and I had a great time but I will say after comparing it on the tiger consoles it’s honestly way more better and easier to me and let me tell you Vilgax on DS was such a pain in my ass it took me years to beat him lmao The enoc robot fight was pretty hard for me as a kid but now it’s not as hard now lol Oh and the plant boss in DS was actually very easy so it’s also got a mix between them some hard some easy but anyway that’s just saying my thoughts great video man
I played the DS version, so seeing the game in 3 dimensions is so cursed to me 😂 The 2D side scrolling of the handheld port had so much charm, even if it’s a more basic style of game.
I remember playing this game on the Wii along with the DS version, both bring back so many amazing memories. I would kill for a Spongebob BFB style remake of this game now.
Honestly I prefer the alien force Ben 10 game because there’s less combos to remember, more thought provoking bosses, and outside of the cutscenes the game looks just as good as this one
Just in case if you guys didn't know, in the NDS version of the game, Upchuck is a playable character but calling him playable is a bit of a long stretch because his mechanic was weird as heck. Unlike other aliens where you can control after you have transformed into them, Upchuck's was just "Transform" and that was it. You transform into Upchuck and he will open his mouth and attack the enemies with his tentacle tongues and then you instantly transform back into Ben. It's like transforming into Upchuck literally drains all of the Omnitrix's power. You can't even move with Upchuck. You just transform and then detransform back into Ben and nothing else. Also, Upchuck can't be accessed "normally". Upchuck is not an unlockable character. You need to activate cheats in order to use him. Having to activate cheats on NDS is one of the weirdest things I've ever seen in my life.
Awesome video! This was a great trip down memory lane. One of the first games I got for my PS2 way back when. The sequel with alien force wasn’t bad either but I couldn’t get into the later games but then again I felt that way about the shows too. This era of Cartoon Network games were awesome the Ed, edd, and eddy game on ps2 was cool too.
I've played this game when I was a kid on the wii. It brings back so many fond memories and have so many exciting combos that you unlock as you progress throughout the game as you gain XP.
I found this channel through reviews of “Oscar winning” movies, like amazing bulk and metal man. I find it incredible how I’m watching videos about genres that I never liked all too much (pls don’t destroy me in the comments). Ur channel is amazing man. Top notch stuff.
I always loved using XLR8's double circle attack, I forgot what it was, but it allows you to just blitz every small enemy in your vicinity. Using it enough times, I figured out that the trail occasionally stays behind, so you can run normally with the XLR8 tail behind you. Also, I spent like 2 hours on the ghost freak fight as a kid because I didnt realize you needed wildvine to open the curtains
Yes, I would enjoy more videos like this, covering the different Ben 10 games we've gotten over the years. Anyway, when I played this game as a kid, I was convinced that one of the upgrades you get in the game would be a version of the scanning feature, that would let you add any of the enemies in the game as transformations. I don't know why I thought this. Maybe because the Kids Next Door video game had every enemy playable via extras (including bosses).
Freaking fantastic video, loved this game growing up as a ten year old as well, and I had issues with the difficulty just as you did, man. I was never able to get past the ghost freak boss fight, so rest assured, you aren’t alone in feeling this game is way tougher than It needs to be. All that said, again, awesome video, I’m lookin’ forward to more in the future as well! Subscribed as well if that isn’t obvious lmao

I always hated that i couldn't play as Diamondhead.
He was my favorite
This game had so much charm and love! An absolute childhood favorite of mine, especially as a fan of the series. If you have time, definitely go back and play the game with a friend. It is an absolute blast. Looking forward to you talking about the DS version, since I played that one before the ps2 version. Also, Animo is my favorite boss fight in the game. Heatblast gang rise up!
Protector of Earth?? I don’t know where your channel was all this time but glad I’ve finally stumbled on it. Great game!
This was so fun to play, especially the quick time events
As I remember playing this game since release for several years. I can say that this game aged well and I’m glad you made me smile over my childhood game, thanks Diamondbolt! 💖
Also 9:26 POWER!!! UNLIMITED POWER!!!!!
14:17 the contrast between the happy smile and nightmarish threat
I honestly think the best link this game has with the animated series are the photographs taken at each of the levels. Really gives it a feel of being an adventure canon to the main story.
I remember playing this game & also Alien Force: Vilgax Attacks on Wii with my sister. Man, I really miss my childhood 😅
Finally someone bringing up this game this is one my favorite games of all time this game is sooo nostalgic
Great video! I think Ultimate Alien Cosmic Destruction, Alien Force and Protector of Earth games are all on par. I related to your thoughts so much, back in the good old PS2 days but I didn’t find it that difficult.
an absolute classic
this game was mad popular here in brazil, just like the show, good memories playing this on road trips on my good old psp
This and cosmic destruction were the only console Ben 10 games I had and I played them to death. Although I played protector of earth when I was pretty young and can't find it anywhere. Thanks for your video it was quite the nostalgia blast.
Too nostalgic, remember playing it when i was 5 years old lol
I grew up with the DS version after seeing my best friend play it on his DS and I had a great time but I will say after comparing it on the tiger consoles it’s honestly way more better and easier to me and let me tell you Vilgax on DS was such a pain in my ass it took me years to beat him lmao
The enoc robot fight was pretty hard for me as a kid but now it’s not as hard now lol
Oh and the plant boss in DS was actually very easy so it’s also got a mix between them some hard some easy but anyway that’s just saying my thoughts great video man
I played the DS version, so seeing the game in 3 dimensions is so cursed to me 😂 The 2D side scrolling of the handheld port had so much charm, even if it’s a more basic style of game.
I played this on my PSP way back, too bad I didn't get to finish it. But seeing this again, it's a nostalgia blast!
I remember playing this game on the Wii along with the DS version, both bring back so many amazing memories. I would kill for a Spongebob BFB style remake of this game now.
also funfact the DS version actually has an unlockable alien being Upchuck
Honestly I prefer the alien force Ben 10 game because there’s less combos to remember, more thought provoking bosses, and outside of the cutscenes the game looks just as good as this one
I grew up playing the DS version of this game. Had lots of fun playing and it was quite nostalgic.
Man i remember playing this game as a kid in hard mode the plant and vilgax trauma is immesirable
Ben 10 is such a good concept and it was executed quite well. Love Ben 10.
07:37 the boss fight that took me almost a month to beat as a kid.
I've played this game when I was a kid on the wii. It brings back so many fond memories and have so many exciting combos that you unlock as you progress throughout the game as you gain XP.
The way Wildvine swings around on those glowing orbs in the sky reminds me of the Flash game 'Ben 10: savage pursuit'
Señor Bolt,
I always enjoy what you talk about because it's about the talker, not the stuff getting talked about.
And I still love the exit muzak!
Would've been better if they added all 10 aliens
Enjoyed this very much, would love to see you tackle more Ben 10 games and even some more Ben 10 content
Adam: **struggles in regular difficulty**
9 year old me: **finished the whole game on hero difficulty**
This game is TOO EASY I SWEAR TO GOD
I beat the game on Hero difficulty without even knowing
I found this channel through reviews of “Oscar winning” movies, like amazing bulk and metal man. I find it incredible how I’m watching videos about genres that I never liked all too much (pls don’t destroy me in the comments). Ur channel is amazing man. Top notch stuff.

That smile terrified me
I started cracking up when I watched Ben hit the RV oh my god hystarical!
I love the Idea of BEN who is so fed up with Omnitrix that he Murders aliens with bare hands with sheer rage
I remember playing this game with my Dad. One of the games that was apart of my childhood good memories.
Each frame of cannonbolts roll attack at 11:45 is a hit.. so.. essentially cannonbolt is literally broken and the most op alien
Ben 10 is an absolutely legendary show. Gives me inspiration for my own stories, visually. Especially alien force and ultimate alien.

Me: ...why does this reminds me so much about the colossus fight on GOW 2?
I loved this game when I was a kid... I loved all ben ten games. I used to play these games with my cousin
My favourite alien is: B E N M A N
I remember the good old days playing this game on my Nintendo DS, and the Vilgax boss fight was really cool
I love the storyline of the games
Loved this video. Would be awesome to see you review the rest of the Ben 10 video games. 😁
I played this on the Wii and it was so much fun!
I have a vivid memory of the first level and the Vilgax fight and literally nothing else. This game was my childhood

I’m a bit jealous I would’ve rather wanted to adaptation of season one or two
Freaking fantastic video, loved this game growing up as a ten year old as well, and I had issues with the difficulty just as you did, man. I was never able to get past the ghost freak boss fight, so rest assured, you aren’t alone in feeling this game is way tougher than It needs to be. All that said, again, awesome video, I’m lookin’ forward to more in the future as well! Subscribed as well if that isn’t obvious lmao
