The new item system feels overwhelming at first, but it's functionally the same as smite 1. Double clicking the tier 3 item will buy what you need. What actually makes it better, is that changing your build to an adjacent tier 3 could be cheaper than selling a tier 2 in smite 1. I think it's a good change overall.

My only complaints can be chalked up as its just an alpha. Its the map and items/gods. Map wise and this could just be me but feels wayyy small. Could just be my eyes with the new graphics but the map feels wayy smaller than smite 1. Also the side jungles on left and right lanes feel like an after thought and added last moment. The items and gods need tuning. Need to recheck but the dmg gods were way too weak compared to warriors and guardians and im hoping they dont have the same scaling they have in smite 1. Items, pretty sure thats gonna be a live and learn thing but some of the items were just placed in with no QA as they were wayyy powerful

I was super shocked by the alpha, it's SO good. Big mmo fan here, I've played so many alphas that were awful and unplayable, the fact that smite 2 is so competently put together in its alpha state is really really impressive. I say this as someone who experienced countless bugs and was struggling to get my fps to stay over 30 since i've got an older cpu that chugs hard with unreal engine 5 games.

Game looks horrible with that manu particles and shit and on the screen. Also graphics look odd idk why, i was expecting too look more like paragon or predecessor

Looks like smite but much cleaner. Theyre not going to abandon the more cartoon art style as opposed to the realistic art style that paragon has.
