      @@paullebleu8209 Might need to re-calibrate your ruler there Paul. The props are marked 4835 - I presume Gal's eyesight is getting as bad as mine. These props are a bit fragile - probably best to replace with 4.8 multi-blade quad props. HQ have 4.8x3.4x4 4-bladers (and some of even higher pitch) plus 5inch or larger will hit the framework when it flexes under full power - probably not a good idea. 😜😊

The rudder and ailerons are connected to 1 servo but, if you are gutting it, no reason you can't add a separate Rudder servo. Best to keep the stock ESC. If you feed it well below the normal low of 1000usecs I believe that it will run in reverse to back the plane out of the weeds. Check the RCGroups thread on this plane for the correct info on this. - are there any lights or any other signal that indicates when the battery is running low power and about to die? Asking since one of my other RC plane models didn't and almost lost it during flight.
    - since this plane is in the water often, is there any rust that occurs around the metal components? Or are the parts rust-proof?

      On mine the controller starts beeping loudly and cuts the throttle to about 50% giving enough time to land under power. I wouldn't worry anyway the crazy thing is crash proof. If you place the battery far enough backwards it does the craziest aerobatics on it's own with the throttle off.

    • @KremerFPV

      Hi, you can take off by throwing it in the air on full throttle or from a water surface.

    • @theoztreecrasher2647
      @theoztreecrasher2647 Год назад

      It will take off from short grass, snow or reasonably level dirt - just gun the throttle and haul back on the elevator! The plastic belly skid plate is pretty tough but probably not a good idea to continually scrape it on rocks, cement or tarmac though! You need flat water and gentle steering to make a clean take-off from water. It doesn't help that, because of the single servo running the ailerons and rudder together, the wrong aileron dips in the water as you swing the rudder to steer. But it's doable. 😉
