Add an exhibit showing the tonnage of homeless camp waste that winds up dumped in storm grates that are direct-to-Puget Sound. FYI, never dump motor oil, chemicals, trash, foil balls into storm grates, or into roadways that drain into Puget Sound during this coming rainy season.

I am thrilled that we have an aquarium to visit now. Another great addition. I hope they build taller skyscrapers next.

They took it the elevated highway and replaced it with a 5 lane surface highway... Seattle doesn't understand the meaning of connecting a waterfront

That road was there BEFORE the viaduct was removed. The viaduct is now a tunnel, and the old road - Alaskan Way - is still there, and is changed. If you know the area you will understand that you can't possibly get rid of Alaskan Way. All that traffic would need to be sent to the downtown, which is already a mess.

@@lepsimica You're agreeing with me then. Instead of fixing the problem the Alaskan viaduct created by splitting downtown with a mess of cars, Seattle doubled down and build out another massive multi lane loud and obnoxious road on what is it's most valuable people space....great job!. Seattle is a car mess because it has yet to figure out the solution to traffic problems is to stop building car centric places and build people centric places. 😎 The end result after billions spent, is a car mess above ground. A car mess below ground. And a car mess up and down it's urban core.
Einstein said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different outcomes. Seattle is the embodiment of insanity 🤣
All it did was spread it's traffic nightmare to the waterfront. Good job 🤦‍♂️

They're in desperate need for an aquarium? No, nobody is in desperate need for an aquarium.

Don't get me wrong, I love aquariums and marine life. But do you really need a multimillion dollar structure to feel connected to the ocean? I feel sad for you. Why don't you tell it like it is, it's for tourism and money making in the politicians and business people's eyes.

Nobody is making money from the Aquarium. The Seattle Aquarium is not a commercial aquarium. It's run by a non-profit organization. Animals are NOT caught in the wild for people's enjoyment. They're often born in captivity. People need to learn about what Seattle Aquarium does beside what you see between those walls. Visit the website and read on it. Education and conservation are HUGE parts of what the organization does.

There should never be aquariums or zoos. It’s all about greed. You want a connection to the waters, get on a boat.
