Yeah the cold showers are good! It was pretty muggy but we were there toward the end of the dry season so wasn’t as bad as it normally gets over the wet season
To help with the midges and sandflies make yourself some effective home repellent, I like to make mine with 1/3 dettol, 1/3 baby oil and 1/3 eucalyptos oil. It's the best. Great video!!!!
Hey Roaming the Blue people Hi from NZ. Was in Port Douglas 3 weeks ago its our special place got married there 6 years ago! Go out to Ravenshoe if you get a chance its a very Magical place spent a bit of time out there great people.Enjoy.
So glad you enjoyed Port Douglas guys! We just finished working there for a few months and loved it. Excited to see more of Australia, would be great to go for a drink if our paths cross
Just saw a comment from Barbara something. Can anyone get more negative about such a gorgeous place? Obviously that person must hate nature! Great vid guys. You captured the atmosphere of that forest brilliantly and want to see more episodes. Just subscribed ✅
Haha you don’t have to be too worried, you can swim at 4 mile beach between the flags, I probably wouldn’t swim anywhere else. However there are jellyfish around this time of the year as well, so just ask the locals! These crocs were in the Daintree river about an hour north.
Culling means to kill, are you sure about this? As a long time resident of FNQ I know big crocs are removed and released in areas away from human habitation.
Yep. The tour boat we went with said that the QLD gov were hoping to start culling them again to completely reduce their numbers and “make it safer for people to swim”. I’m not sure what’s happening with it at the moment though
You must be easy to please. The boulders has no phone WiFi or tv service . platypus have deadly hooks in their hind legs so don’t touch them. Snakes are everywhere there too. Current is so strong that several people have drowned there. Good luck
Yes, far north Australia has these mysteries, and they're usually very big. As long as you are aware of this you'll be fine. Never forget it's different than the south of Australia. All beautiful.
Our Far North QLD is beautiful. Enjoying your videos.

Hahah sounds like he is a bit. He’s the boss of the river
There's no bugs here. Walk off into the grass and you'll find the most venemous snakes in the world. Lots of them.

Hey Shane, we are from the surf coast in Victoria!

I’m going to Port soon. Do I have to be worried about the crocs 😳😳😳 or should I say how worried do I have to be? I’m taking two of my kids with me?

I don’t go bush camping expecting tv & wi-fi, particularly where it’s free.
That free camp is epic! it was packed when we tried to get in 🥲 Also feel your pain with the biteys 😬 Great ep guys 🙌
Haha yeah it’s a popular spot! Thanks legends 💛
