- Can smart:limit DESTROY landr and others???
Sonible have just released their first AI-infused true peak limiter and I had the opportunity to test it out. With it's guided loudness tools and a bunch of other useful features tailored to both pros and newbies, this is bound to become a mainstay in your studio.

Really good video. I'm very much an amateur mixer (using Studio One Pro). Tried the mastering tools on the DAW, but soon realised I'm better sticking to my (not great) mixing. lol. Just finishing a years subscription to LANDR and definitely looking at Smart Limit to possibly replace that.
You will own nothing
This smart Limit plugin vehemently speeds up work flow and is in fact the best sounding limiter I have. I do long audiobooks and the process of finding the right volume for speech with other limiters is frustrating. Smart limit does it in one click. The lufs setting is perfect for audible.
That's great to know! 😀
The song sounds even good on bypass so the mixing pre-processing was extra-spectacular )
This is the best video when it comes to smart:limit video of the song on bypass and smart:limit cleans it up even perfectly.
The other smart:limit videos that have the song they are about to process doesn't sound as transparent. Again: good job.
Thank you so much ❤️❤️
Very informative, it seems to be useful. Cheers from Stockholm.

Ok ok…. After 3 videos I’m subscribing….. you happy???? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha, thanks 👍
I have Ozone 9 Advanced already, which appears to be very similar, but split up into many modules, instead of being on 1 screen. So would this plugin just be a minor upgrade and really worth it?
I'm not sure if they are the same. Sonible AI algorithms are superior in my experience, though I have only compared to Ozone 7/8 Advanced. I always found the assistant feature in Ozone good for dynamic EQ settings but not much else. Smart:Limit does this automatically and well. Personally, I find it worth the time it saves, but maybe test it out for yourself and see if it does what you expect it to?
@@SPLMixing thanks SPL, i better try it now while it's on a promotion
That's awesome! 🤘 I found it very easy too.
I was using fabfilter for a good while, smart limit is just better, cleaner and smoother. Landr is just a waste of time, I tried it once and all I got was an increase in volume. Smart limit is just easy to use, just hit the green button, select a style and tweak it, job done, alongside your other plugins that come before it of course.
Think you're crazy if you use something like landr... you can do way better yourself with a good multi band and limiter
I agree. Unfortunately, for some uneducated musicians, LANDR is the only affordable option. Overall smart:limit beats it out easily without too much effort. Very simple to use.
@@SPLMixing Agree simple to use but not something L2 can't do, sounds very similar to me.
And musicians should make an effort to learn how to master, it's not that difficult.
Waves L2? Nah, smart:limit is way more advanced and versatile.
