Can’t beat gold polished Roman numerals that sparkle like jewels in the sunlight. Loving the sun ray dial man that pops!AMZWATCH watches. What a beautiful subtle piece.
i love the Seamasters, have this white one but bought the Omega rubber strap, suits it better imo, also have the blue SMPC with the flat dial, put that one on the proplof mesh Bracelet, looks great and last but not least the best on all the 22545000 which in my opinion is still the best Seamaster to own, did i mention i love the Seamaster divers 😁
Had the white dial for a year but never bonded with it so I let it go. I do have the blue dial and the NTTD and love both. Omega sells an OEM deployant clasp for the rubber strap on this watch. It is fantastic.
I love my Speedmaster 3570.50 and Seamaster Chronograph Blue dial 2225.80 both have their own personalities. The White dial is next on my list, I like the heft of the case and bracelet in the Seamasters, they are tools and I'll wear the Moon watch if I want a light watch.
Great video. The Diver 300m is my favorite watch. I have the blue, black, and green bezel/dial ones. (Big Bond fan lol). I don't mind the bracelet at all. I wouldn't miss the helium escape valve if they ever decide to get rid of it though. I think 42mm is a great size dive watch. I also don't mind the thickness. It's a dive watch after all.
I have a Sub and blue SM300 too. Like both and are different enough to rotate. I do like the non tapering bracelet, feels and looks solid and definitely identifies the watch.
I love the seamaster line. I’ve got the current version in black and the electric blue in 36mm. Every time I look at the current omega seamaster I think it’s the best looking watch and my favourite, compared to Tudor black bays and Rolex subs etc but this current version is the only one they didn’t do a mid size version of as well and I think they missed something with that. Every time, I think it’s the best looking watch, but it’s just a bit too big. Right now struggling with keeping it or moving it on and stashing the money for when they finally release a new version….whenever that may be!
Love the current SM. I have the Brosnon automatic. I believe if Omega could make that watch again with an adjustable clasp they'd sell out. Just over 11mm thin that watch on that bracelet is great with a pinstripe suit or a scuba suit or anything in between.
no need to thin the case. it's a watch of its own. the case thick is great for what the watch is truly designed for. I love the HE valve. it's the character separator from others just like the Panerai has its signature locking crown design that separates it from others. when you see them from afar you know what it is. I own the Grey Dial Diver 300M, creamsicle Planet Ocean and Blue dial Aqua Terra. I am looking to get a Panerai because I have always loved the design of them.
Couldn’t agree more. I love my white SMP, and haven’t seen it on another wrist which, given its popularity, seems odd. But then again, where I live I see mostly Apple Watches. I put it on the OEM black rubber strap right away, but recently put it back on the bracelet and I’ve fallen in love with it all over again. Go figure!
Got the white dial SMP and the Peter Blake 2254.50 and love both for different reasons. I really disliked the modern bracelet at first, but it’s grown on me a lot.
I have the automatic electric blue Seamaster up for sale, excellent condition if you are interested. I am a fan of your channel, so happy to making it happen 💪
I put a 3861 bracelet with micro adjust clasp on my white dial SMP300 and it’s perfect for me now. Agree with your points, a tad slimmer case, tapered bracelet, better power reserve, and smaller clasp on the next iteration would be great changes.
Hi Bruce. Liked your video. Your content is always thoughtful and insightful. Somehow if Omega can take a step towards refinement they will make an already compelling watch a must have. The one Daniel Craig sported might be that watch. Do you think the traditional five link can have a taper or how about pulling out a speedmaster 1450 bracelet update for the next generation?
If I bought an Omega this would be the one. That said, I do not want a presentation box. One of the things I like about new IWC s is that they give you a leather watch case that you can actually use instead of a big box that will sit in your closet.
Tokyo 2020 Olympics SMP is the best colour way by far. Same white dial but blue bezel and the hands/hour markers change colour from black to blue in the glare/reflection.
The 8900 movement is not an objective upgrade as you stated. It is movement with a jump hour feature. That feature is at the expense of the quick date adjust, so it's a downgrade there. If you travel a lot maybe you'll like the 8900. If you don't leave your country too much, it can be a small pain. I stay in Israel as much as I can so I went for the 8800.
Never bit the bullet as I’m pretty certain I’ll get bored of it. The dial is too busy and will become an issue. Trust me, I’m no Rolex fan, however I’ll stick to my 16613 & 116613 if I want to wear a diver
My favourite is the smp 60th anniversary bond with the blue dial and the mesh bracelet it’s absolutely gorgeous, only issue is it’s overpriced and not as available smh
This was the color that made me consider the new seamasters when it was first released and before it really got super hyped up a little bit afterwards. I sure think this is probably my favorite colorway. Maybe next to that Tokyo Olympic Edition with the blue bezel and accents.
I could not agree more Bruce on your preferred choice of SMP300M although I have not worn the other colourway options but I have seen them to have a look. I've had my white dial version for some years now and do not intend to part with it anytime soon. It just works for me. I too would prefer the 8900 movement a little over the 8800 but it is close. If I pick it up after a week or so it is quick to set the date on the 8800. At one point I pondered selling it to get the white dial with the blue hands, bezel and markers Olympic model but I'm pleased that I kept my model as it goes with everything.
Gorgeous watch ,went into my local AD yesterday to buy the white seamaster but walked out with a Zenith El Primero Will get this seamaster in a few months
Back in the day I could have bought the Brosman but I didn’t like the skeleton hands. I found the contrast ratio of hands and dial difficult to read. Instead I bought the electric blue quartz and I still have it today. When they brought out the white dial 300 the contrast was there and I snapped it up straight away. It is my daily and the price has gone up since I have owned it by about 1200 dollars. A ridiculous amount but I will never sell it. It is very accurate, reliable and a keeper.
In the manual it says the He crown has a red ring, so the user knows if it is open or not. My seamaster doesn't have this feature, just wondering what others have experienced, thanks.
So it falls down to the Submariner on every point except the presentation box!? 😂 Joking aside it’s a fine watch, but it looks 90s to me & not as timeless nor as classy as the Sub imho.
@@MCMXI1 I see…you deleted your answer to my coment, before I could answer. Obviously, because you recognized you wrote nonsense! 😀 Nevertheless, here is my answer to you deleted comment: The skeletonized hands are part of the Diver 300M since the first Gen of the watch, introduced in 1993! So they are part of the DNA! Same for the helium valve, the 5 link bracelet and the wave dial. Have a nice day!
@@youtubeuser8436 Yep, when I noticed Bruce was talking specificallly about the 300M I corrected my comment because my deleted reply was referring to the DNA of the entire line. It's the grown up thing to do. Now, specific to this model, as I said the skeletonized hands have never worked for me. It's an opinion that he asked for. No one is denying your fact that it's in the "DNA." Speaking of deleting things, nice work deleting your upvote. 🤣🤣🤣
Adding the 8900 will push the price up to AT and that’s not good. Thinning could be acceptable by removing the exhibition case back and closing it off on direct competition to Rolex
I got the white dial Seemaster since 2 years and I love it! It‘s my favourite Seamaster, amd I got 5 versions of them.
After owning my blue SMP 300 for 4 1/2 years now, still love it, and the bracelet. I think the bracelet works well: hefty and masculine.
This is the seamaster I have, on the rubber strap. Stunning piece 😍

Man, great video! I haven't had the chance to buy one yet, but it's coming! I love the size and heft personally. The white looks amazing.

Thank you, Bruce. Just acquired the 43.5mm ceramic Seamaster. The unboxing is on my channel
I have a Sub and blue SM300 too. Like both and are different enough to rotate. I do like the non tapering bracelet, feels and looks solid and definitely identifies the watch.
Still prefer the iconic blue, my first real luxury watch, but the white is lovely.

Still a fan of the blue. One the g I have noticed is that the white seems to wear bigger due to an optical illusion.

Do the end links from the Speedy work on the smp300?
No, you need Forstner bullet end links which you have to email them to order since they don’t have them listed.
@@endlesseightmost appreciated!
The NTTD needs to be priced $800-1k more than the standard line instead of nearly double.

Previous gen 41mm. Black dial. No waves. Personal taste.
White dial with rubber strap and nttd for me please!

The Swiss version costs thousands & Chinese version about $200.
Owned the white and the seaweed green. Kept the green. Great video as always, Bruce.
Can anyone confirm if the white dial Speedy has the same lucious silky smooth white dial as the white Seamaster? Haven’t yet seen it in person.
The speedmaster is enamel only, while the seamaster is ceramic with laser cuts waveform. It's a pretty big difference to me.
@@SergioSanto02 Yeah the wave part is obvious but is the rest of it the same?

The Green Seamaster.

The SMP needs to get rid of this cheesy deep wave dial and should go back to the more subtle wave dial like the Bond 60 year anniversary.
In the manual it says the He crown has a red ring, so the user knows if it is open or not. My seamaster doesn't have this feature, just wondering what others have experienced, thanks.
I just checked and when I looked closely I could detect a touch of red.
I wish they would get rid of the helium escape valve and use a different type of metal bracelet.
This one Seamaster I would like to own is the Omega Seamaster Big triangle 165 024. It's the BEST Seamaster ever made
I just picked up the green rubber strap
So it falls down to the Submariner on every point except the presentation box!? 😂 Joking aside it’s a fine watch, but it looks 90s to me & not as timeless nor as classy as the Sub imho.
We’ll see if it’s smaller when that Daniel Craig one comes out. Wondering if that’s the new model or just a special edition
Can you do a video about your all time favorite watches?
