    Thanks for the video :). Could you do worked examples of the harder questions? and just curious were your scores for the 3 sections roughly the same or were you stronger at any one given section?

      thanks for the suggestion, i will look into making one hopefully! My s1 was always stronger and s3 was stronger the second time while s2 was the weaker of the two if that makes sense :)

    Did your score improve drastically the second time doing the hpat or was it similar to the first time u sat the hpat? I’m repeating the hpat and would like some clarity :( I think my problem was not spending enough time due to hw and mocks so I’m going to start preparing as early as possible! Thankss

      hi yes my score improved drastically...i went from 60th to 81st percentile 😀

      KiMai thanks for ur reply! Is it okay when u first start doing questions, you’re not doing that well, or is that something to worry about? Also, sometimes when I get an answer incorrect I don’t always understand the solution they give for the answer, is this also something to worry about? How can I improve?

    • @KiMai
      @KiMai  4 года назад +2

      yes its okay to not understand questions first and i even had hard time understanding some qs even after a lot of practice because some qs are designed that way...your goal is to maximize your potential score, it not to get every q right 😆

    Thanks a lot for your video ! Just a question the year of the hpat exam you was in 6th year but the day of the exam where did u pass it ?

    • @KiMai
      @KiMai  3 года назад

      I am not sure what you mean by your question but hpat is done in around the 3rd Saturday of February and you can only give it in 6ty yr. You can know the results in July : )

    When do you think i should by the medentry exams? I’m using some questions i saw online but i’m not sure if they actually help, because i want to start studying in summer?

    Ur first hpat u did and LC what did you get in total

    • @KiMai

      hello i got 60th percentile in hpat and 540 points in LC

  • @sarahs1417
    @sarahs1417 5 лет назад +1

    How many hours of hpat did you do a week?

    • @KiMai
      @KiMai  5 лет назад +1

      hey sarah, for reference i did around 20 mins of hpat every weekday and 3 hrs of exam on sat and reviewed my exam for 4/5 hrs...some weeks i would do less than this and some weeks i would do more...i recommend tracking your progress through how many tasks done rather than time spent on task!

    This is a really weird question, but, how did you do in you junior cert? Do you think it matters at all? I just did mine and I’m extremely nervous for my results! 😅

    • @KiMai
      @KiMai  5 лет назад +2

      hmmmm I think jc is a good foundation to lay...i have seen more people do good jc and then good lc than the other way around...it shows your work ethic which will be useful all your life so jc doesn't 'directly' affect any thing but indirectly does...
      my jc results are weird if you look at them without context...i got 6 A, 2 B and 1 C ( this C was in French which i started 3 months ago as i just moved to ireland then ) so yeah context matters :)
      Dont worry about the things that are gone...!

    In terms of section 1, how did you go about timing?

    • @KiMai
      @KiMai  4 года назад +1

      I did it according to 10-20 mins increments, i.e how much I should get done in 10-20mins since I find timing each and every question hard to do😃

      @@KiMai Thanks for the reply!
      Are you saying as time went on you increased the amount of questions you wanted to get done or the amount stayed constant?

    • @KiMai
      @KiMai  4 года назад +2

      @@jenniferaniboh4665 that depended on how much time i had left, if i was lagging behind then i would quicken up my pace and do more qs in 10 mins that originally planned, vice versa. The approach has to be dynamic ^^

      i used med entry courses so i have experience of it only...finding free hpat resources online is hard

    Can I ask what were your raw scores like in the Acer exams if you remember?

    • @KiMai
      @KiMai  4 года назад

      It would vary but i got around 70-75/110 depending on the exam and the score went up, the more I practiced 😀

      @@KiMai did what were getting in the sections in the Acer exams reflect your scores in the real thing coz my sec1 is very average but sec 2 and 3 is very very good

      @@motivational9236 no it doesn't accurately reflect the real score but it can give you idea about your weaknesses and strengths ^^
