    would you recommend sitting mocks this year if they’re happening right before my hpat date? Or just to purely focus on the hpat for that time? Thanks so much☺️

    • @orlacoffey814
      @orlacoffey814  2 года назад +4

      Depends on how confident you are leading up to both. Ideally I would actually do the mocks too because last minute cramming for Hpat isn’t very effective and it would change your focus right before the hpat to something else, also helpful practice for June

      Thanks so much, also I was just wondering what raw score should I be aiming for in my practice exams, I seem to be stuck around the 70/110 area and I really want to improve. Thanks so much again☺️

    I am wondering what package did you get for medentry hpat. I am nott looking to spend 1500 euro on the dianond package. What will be good for me to just get into the 80 percentile. Does the packages really matter.

    • @orlacoffey814
      @orlacoffey814  2 года назад +4

      A little late perhaps but if you are naturally good at the style of questions it would still be possible to do well. The time you spend is honestly up to you and depends on how difficult or otherwise you find the preparation

    I am just deciding now I want to get into OT and need 50 percentile. I have just over 2 months is it enough time if I had dedicated full time on HPAT prep?

    • @orlacoffey814
      @orlacoffey814  2 года назад

      Definitely, 50th percentile is very doable on aptitude alone and if you prepare you would hopefully do better than your raw aptitude. For medicine you need 80/85th minimum so it’s far more competitive and needs more preparation but you should be ok if you understand the exam, practice a bit and have a decent mindset suited to it💖

    • @orlacoffey814

      It’s doable but would definitely take lots of work, also would depend on how good you are with it to begin with so how your baseline level is starting off

    Hi Orla, how do I score a acer practice test ? for instance on the Test 1 I got the following percentages: 61%, 90%, 50%. by the 40/40/20 rule, i get 211. But i guess i need to take this with a pinch of salt.. can you please guide me here? Thanks!

    • @orlacoffey814
      @orlacoffey814  2 года назад +1

      Hey, be cautious that Acer ones are easier than the real thing. Also, your score for each section isn’t a percentage of the amount you got right, it’s a score which is itself weighted based on which questions you get right rather than just how many and how many everyone else gets right too. So I wouldn’t even try to work out an overall score from Acer exams because you can’t apply the same method :)

    • @balasubramanianm6572
      @balasubramanianm6572 2 года назад

    Hi there, would you say the official ACER practice materials are sufficient preparation for the HPAT? or are the MedEntry packages more useful in terms of getting you ready?

    • @orlacoffey814
      @orlacoffey814  2 года назад +2

      I only did 1 Acer practice exam and I found it way easier than both the real thing and all of the Medentry practice ones I did. I would recommend Medentry but that said it’s not a necessity so if you think the Acer materials are helping you then just stick with those.

    Do you recommend changing subjects in 6th year ? From physics to business ? Do you think I’ll be able to cover 2 yrs worth in an year ?

    • @orlacoffey814
      @orlacoffey814  3 года назад

      Not sure I would recommend it but it’s probably possible. Business is very straightforward but also extremely content heavy and would take a massive amount of time to catch up on. On the other hand If you nail a few areas of physics you have most of the exam covered (like the atom for example).
