No way ? You've been with me this long ? 😮😆 Wow truly a loyal fan. Well actually this is my third review. But the two first ones were so poor in quality that I finally got rid of them lmfao.
Yes. The creativity and suspense finished on Mars, when the tourists get there. It looked like one of our days, routine and the end of it, to start a new old one... The trailler impressed: every important magazine, newspaper commented man on the space. A tragedy, too many promises, and a tribe was awaiting them on the gray planet ( in the picture, black and white, there was not a red color). No, this is not the worst. You should see the cartoon Space Angel, with Scott Mcloud, Taurus and on. They are the champions. Even Marvel in 1966 was not a photograph-cartoon as that. 30 seconds will be enough for a person to give up on watching next part, although the stories were good. God Budget governs space, too. See this cartoon, a pearl. The point is - the rocket is the same, in the cartoon and in our 1950 picture. Thanks for the review and the analysis, sehr prima, and don't go to visit Mars. You know what you will find there...🍍🍍🍍🍍
@@awfulmoviereviews6792 I liked that ruined city in the background, that artifact they dug up, the blind girl screaming (which is not in every cut). It's the kind of movie 12 year olds like. So it ain't Shakespeare.
@only257 the acting is played straight, the effects stay within the budget and you care about the characters , not like later space travel movies that get corny which so many did. This one is more serious. Just my take.
Why, in all fifties space movies, when the ship gets to the micro gravity point, it means everything floats up? Meteors always show up, and looking like something that should be floating in a breakfast cereal bowl? The only interesting shot in the whole movie is the blind Martian female. The only trope the didn’t do was a guy with a Brooklyn accent. They went with Texas instead.
This movie clung to old conventions, some of which go back to the Victorian era in their "progressive" approach to Genders In Space. You can count on ONE HAND the Hollywood Space Movies that weren't hobbled by reliance on Postwar American Sexual Politics for plot points!
This is actually a well produced film considering it's low budget, the acting is certainly good, only Barry's dialog is weak and unfortunately some sexist comments also included, great photography by Karl struss, great score ,the first film beating out Destination Moon to be released starting the golden age of science fiction in 1950.

This was one of my very first reviews. 🤣
@@awfulmoviereviews6792 very good, I assure you. I am watching your reviews from the beginning...🔍🔎🔍🔎🎥🎥🎥🎥
I rather liked it. Has some good moments. AND not nearly as bad you claim.
Oh yeah ? And what did you enjoy about this flick ? 👀

Queen from outer space it’s campy and fun to watch 😊
@@only257 And I loved how the made the rocket bigger by processing the shot through an Anamorphic lens. CinemaScope backwards.

But destination moon is probably a hundred times better than this.
@Awful Movie Reviews I could not say that because there are Sci fi fans who would say RXM is the much better film. I see it from both sides.
@@awfulmoviereviews6792 ok 😊
I do have to admit and as a boy of the 1950s, I had a crush on the chic; mucho hottie!
Yeah, I can understand that lmao 🤣
The owner to the rights to the film, Wade Williams, has died. Now who owns the rights??
I have no idea man.
Fun movie 😊
