I was admitted to hospital that day and had brain surgery the following day. My Dad brought in a newspaper on 02.01.90 and read to me about Steve's achievement.
@@dogsarentdangerous1195 Found out in June this year that I’d beaten the condition. Still lots of headaches but have run 6 marathons since so it’s not all bad,
@@Chief_Brody Mark Kendall was a great bloke. He lived in Telford at the time he played for Wolves and would stop and have a chat and a bit of banter with people. You probably know that he went on to have a distinguished career in the police force in Wales, receiving a commendation for bravery. A great bloke. One who is still missed by some of us.
I love Wolves fans singing Sack the Board & Newcastle fans singing Bully Bully amazing day especially being that I was staying in at my mother-in-law’s Consett County Durham in my Wolves shirt. Funny looks ha ha
As someone else said, I too am a Villa fan and would have loved Bull to sign for Villa. IMO , should have played for England much more but believe he had a spat with "the untouchable " Lineker; something to do with his Black Country accent, and that was that. cockney press never seemed to like him, same as Peter Withe, and they seem to have a big influence on who plays for England.
They got no more than wolves in those tines, I hope we can extend our capacity to 50,000 and fill it like Newcastle united two great old english clubs and dont believe it newcastle are a massive club and deserve to be competing for europe !!
I love Bull's conviction in front of goal. He knew he was going to score.
Flew there and back. Probably the best day ever watching football.
I’m a Villa fan but love Steve Bull. I watched a lot of Wolves games when ITV central were showing matches in the 90s.

Legendary game for Wolves fans, cheers for sharing it
Bull status is cemented in Wolves folklore...but Mark Kendall was a legend too. God bless him.
Mark Kendall was the first goalie that I saw at Spurs. God Rest his Soul

Second (now known as the Championship)
