4 was the only Mega Man I owned as a kid and watching this was Mega awesome! Also, love the TAS videos! Your commentary makes them way better to watch. Eager to watch the next one.
Haven't watched the video just yet, in one of your recent videos I know you weren't feeling very well. I hope you feel better now. I only recently discovered your channel and I'm loving the TAS videos.
This was the game i got for my birthday one year. I remeber how op pharaoh power was. You can charge it during boss doors and animations. It makes the ball above you head. You can hit with the floatin ball and still shoot the charged ball without losing extra energy. Two balls one charge up. I always saved it for last boss of game.
Is anyone else experiencing skipping in this video, too? From 20:07 to 20:10, the video freezes several times for me. Is that happening to anyone else?
I usually start with Toad Man when I play the game now but, Pharaoh Man was the first robot master I beat in this game when it first came out. I used to really like the pyramid theme in the level.
The last time I saw a TAS of this game, there were only a couple of zips because the designers changed the engine so that being inside ta wall would kill you instead of push you out. Seeing the number of zips in this run was surprising.
While not shown, the Kossack Klaw is vulnerable to Wire, jump to its ledge and uppercut it with the grapple.IIRC it hits twice because it can't find a grapplable surface and retracts, hitting on the rebound.
Nice! I think you should check out the Mega Man 4 Voyage TAS. In case you don't know what MM4 Voyage is, it's a ROM hack of Mega Man 4, and I think it's the only existing ROM hack of MM4 that ISN'T a ROM hack of the original Japanese version (Rockman 4).
I used to think that the first boss in Cossack's castle would look like a heart if it closed those wing things. I don't know why I thought that. I just could picture the top parts and bottom parts closing.
To be fair compared to Drill Man (who I chose), Pharaoh Man is a subtle start. I just thought the Rush Jet was otherwise too slow to get. Also Drill Shot isn't bad.
You asked if we enjoy the TAS vids as much as you do. Yea, absolutely. There is something really mesmerizing about a good speedrun, so TAS is just a drug trip. Does not help that MM4 was my first Megaman game I ever played and kinda' managed to stay my favourite among the classics.
The Megaman 4 Boss Energy filing up is definitely the slowest in the series, so slow in fact the music completely stops in the OG NES version iirc, it’s really grating on the ears just like Wily’s Machine in Megaman 2.
MM4 is my favorite MM game and only because you mentioned it 50 or so times, the No Dash MMX is not as bad as you're hyping yourself up for. I did it before. I think they made the game stages BEFORE they had the physics nailed down, so you don't TECHNICALLY need to dash to beat the game, dashing just helps to cheese some of the items.
Megaman 4 no jump ruined this game for me, it’s not that I don’t like it, i still love it, but now I have to do it in the minimum jump boss order being dust, drill, pharoah, dive, skull, ring, toad, bright
Challenge: construct an "optimal" TAS run that beats Mega Man 1, 2, and 3 (possibly 4; edit: simultaneously) while providing the same input to each. I've seen a human do it.
6:31 "But nobody came." Ahh Miniboss 😭🙏🏾
Mr P is so modest acting like this isn't just him doing a speed run.
That re-fight boss skip was insane and explained why TAS went for the wire hook in Dive Man's stage now.
If you are wondering why the TAS picked up the wire, it was used in the refight skip.
I loved watch you reacting TAS and speed run. Im learning a lot watching it

I never thought I'd enjoy watching these TAS runs, but wow, are they incredible. I'm glad to be proven wrong.
TAS runs of a lot of games are incredible, especially the wacky glitches that break your understanding.
Dr balls***. I’m dead
I think we would all be happy if you made a tas video for each MegaMan game.

Dude, ur E Tank hat is sick!
16:51 I REALLY THOUGHT IT WAS BECAUSE OF AN EPILEPSY WARNING...

Yes
loving this content!
Feel better soon dude
_"How to beat Mega Man X the cool way"_ got over 500 likes.
You owe us the "no dash X-X3 challenge"
Oh Kalinka! That tas is fire.
looks like goku summoning spirit bombs with pharo mans glitch shot
Some of this stuff is absolutely berserk!
Totally funsie wonsie, that TAS

Best of the NES era imo.

What happens at 9:02 where the player just teleports through the boss hallway with no apparent cause? It doesn't happen in other stages.
This TAS guy has got some sick skillz.
And insane luck, that RNG for the wily boss was just very lucky!
I can't wait for the Rockman and Forte TAS Speedrun reaction, that speedrun is broken in both a figurative and literal since
I’m down to watch more TAS runs even after you’re not sick. It really is very interesting.

TAS has all the world records, unless you account for DK64, due to the weirdness of how human runs are done
10 hardest levels in the OG NES 6, and please do MM 10 and 11!

Weren't the mets called hardhat hooligans in the Megaman 2 manual? Or was that just something Nintendo Power said?
Cut man and bomb man are watching the tas
I had no idea Christian Slater was a gamer
Did you just call the blue cheetahs from Mega Man 2 tigers?
The Tas prefers to call the health bar the damage boost bar.
I would love a Mettal plushie if I could find one

Maybe the bubbles under water is from Mega Man heat creating an air pocket due to heating up the water. Computers do get really hot.
Always liked Megaman 4 just because of a few of the bosses.
Mets were always robotic hamburgers to me as a kid when playing mm4 😅😅
The Megaman 4 Boss Energy filing up is definitely the slowest in the series, so slow in fact the music completely stops in the OG NES version iirc, it’s really grating on the ears just like Wily’s Machine in Megaman 2.
I'm born and raised in Corona, Queens. Of course I like Mets.

5:57💀
I like Mets and i like your videos too
20:07

aawesome
Be careful not to play so much Mega Man ... or you'll become him.
I really wanna watch but I recently bought all MM games for NES, I'll b back
i like mets.
i also like when TAS does autoscrollers.
