I cooked similar recently but at the end I removed the ribs and used a hand blender to turn the carrots & celery into an even thicker dark gravy. I also used onion at the beginning. Mine was great too! 😊

I made this the other day and the ribs were delicious. However, they could have been much better. First, as I have noticed from making other Jamie Oliver dishes, it was under-spiced. Almost every one of his recipes is slightly under-spiced. The pinch of salt he threw in while sautéing the veggies was not nearly enough. Next time, I will season the short ribs before searing and browning. The other thing is...make sure you have enough liquid. Four hours is a long cook and I would have liked a little more gravy. For me, I think I'll do half water and half beef stock to get a little more seasoning.

When was this filmed? Didn’t know any snow had already fallen in Europe, heard nothing about on the news and normally they are right at it if there falls any snow doesn’t matter where in Europe, for some reason it’s always on Belgian news… or is it fake snow😅 which isn’t very economical I think, this looks delicious nonetheless ❤ sadly I have no idea where to get shortribs of Beef, pork is available mostly during summertime here to put on the BBQ but beef, never came across it

What is it with his cooking lately? I mean just in this one: Insanely overcooked short ribs (4 hours is pretty much double the time you need for that temp), way too much celery, beer and water as the base (where is the stock, or the wine?), no garlic (!), to little onion. Super weird all around.
