- It's about time we roast one of the all time worst roller coasters in the world!! This is the Big Apple Coaster (formerly Manhattan Express) at the New York New York Hotel in Las Vegas!

This coaster needs to go back to hell where it came from.
I imagine someone going to Vegas and wanting to ride that because they don't live near any roller coasters (especially with people all around the world going to Vegas), and THAT is what they will experience.

It's really not that bad. The first drops are fun. After the loop, it gets brutal. Total score: 5/10

One time at my home park (Six Flags Over Texas) I legit saw a guy with a Big Apple Coaster shirt and I thought, "Ugh, I feel bad for him."
I actually went on this a couple days ago and they must've upgraded because it's not as bad as I remember the first time I went! I had a blast lol

The fact that it has inversions on a hyper coaster and that it has both restraint types makes this feels like a GP designed it

I rode this ride at the front row with my sister if I remember right, it was last summer. I heard the rumors before riding it but didn't find it scary nor did I get any bruises from it. Maybe I was just lucky. But I still wasted 28 bucks (I payed for my sister) for a ride that didn't even give me airtime. I had more fun spending my whole afternoon riding the coasters at the AdventureDome than this one, the rides were cool and with a pass that costs less than 40$, I rode both roller coasters more than 15 times each.
+Coaster Studios another good parody Takoda!! I actually have been in this quite a few times and while it is very rough and this restraints are just the devil, I like riding it because I love rides and it is basically the only ride we can do in Vegas. I have seen desperado, but then I saw the review and now I do not feel like riding it
I’ve got a tip on how to ride it: DON’T. Also, I wouldn’t want it removed since it’s the only Togo I have a chance of riding. It is the closest to me, even tho I live in jersey. A Morgan retracting would be good.

I've been on a ride with restraints similar to this. It was Mindbender at Galaxyland in West Edmonton Mall. I been on it in August of 2012 and never again will I ride it. It was awful. It was painful. It doesn't make any sense why people say this ride is so good. It makes more sense to me why they added the extra OTSR restrains than people say it was so good. I honestly felt like I was going to die on this ride. The pain lasted for almost an hour and the effects didn't go away until a few days have past. Before the train dispatched from the station, I already felt uncomfortable with the restraints. Yes, This was actually the same ride that had that infamous crash back in 1986.
Idk why but I don’t think this coaster is that bad. Sure it is rough in some parts, but I kind of enjoyed this thing. I got one ride in the very back row, and It was okay!
I went on this ride 2 years ago with my dad, and I loved it so much!!

Great parody but when I saw the corkscrew I was like WHY ALTON TOWERS DID YOU TAKE IT DOWN???!!!
Cus it was uncomfy and needed replacing. Probs was expensive to maintain as well. Plus 13 is great.
But it was a classic though.

I find it funny how you include a picture of the Alton Towers entrance plaza. The only piece of the Corkscew that was kept was the corkscrews, and they were repainted and moved to the entrance when the ride closed. Reason they kept them was because the Corkscrew was a very iconic ride at the park, and if it wasn't for the Corkscrew, we wouldn't have Alton Towers be what it is today.
TBH I actually liked riding Manhattan Express much more than Boomerang and the S&S 4D free spin. That being said, there was no airtime on this thing and it did get really irritating after the MCBR. However, I have to admit that the barrel roll dive inversion was pretty awesome. Loved the parody btw, they really should rename it to "Manhurtin' Express!"
We can thank Cedar Fair for the fact that TOGO cannot do us any harm anymore.

It looks like a ride someone made in planet coaster, but they've never heard of the smoothing feature.
Actual tip : Sit in the middle, it's alright , because the thing is during the rolls it actually is injoyable.
I rode this with a Miami Heat player and we sat together and he sounded like he enjoyed it, but I’m sitting there with the worst headache

I remember seeing this coaster a long time ago on the Travel Channel and I wanted to go on it so bad. I eventually did ride it. I actually did die so this is accurate.
Yea this is either staying, becoming SBNO or being junked. It's a harrowing ride that is tolerable front row and being extremely vigilant in leaning in with each element. Of course, this makes it an awful roller coaster that is scary for all the wrong reasons. However, times have changed since it was built. The coaster is iconic, yes, but it's not nearly a star attraction or worth replacing with a B&M or Intamin or what have you... they'd rather let it just sit than spend that cash. It's really sad because what I wouldn't give to ride a good coaster that wasn't El Loco. Even though they may add a Chance coaster to Adventuredome, the layout is extremely short. Ah well...
The Alton Towers Corksrew joke was hilarious you must do an AT coaster Parody :)

True! I got a migraine from canyon blaster! El loco was pretty smooth, and with out shoulder restraints there was nothing to hit your head on.

A ground up redo with new track support posts, new tracks, and new everything by B&M or Premiere rides. More air time, more G’s, and a lot more comfortable.
This is actually pretty high on my bucket list just because it is SO BAD it's famous and I want to know how bad the worst is
What hurts the most about this rollercoaster is paying $15 for one ride
Now now don't forget about viper at Great Adventure. Replaced by El Toro has to be the greatest ride Improvement in all of theme park history

Me and my cousin rode this last year and we liked it. I may have a few headaches at the end but at least we had fun.

when you live around 5k miles from any good rollercoaster in a boring country, and you happen to be in Vegas for a quick trip, then this coaster can be loads of fun. I enjoyed when I rode it once a few years ago... (yeah, shocking!)
