I kind of have a similar story. Few years back, I ran into a young lady who lived in my dorm in college while at a bar. Funny. Been married for nearly a decade and now I look at women with no ring on the fingers serving people like myself. I get a lot of satisfaction knowing that they are struggling and sometimes with a kid. I was one of the those guys who was interested but they looked at me seeing someone under 6’ and had “no game”.

I know its not a popular thing to say in these days, but I think the institution of marriage best be left to the straight folk, I don't see why the government needs to get involved in my love life. I also don't need to marry a man to see that they are often treated unfairly, I think if you are going to be in a couple regardless of gender it is for the good of everyone involved that there is some sort of kindness and teamwork involved.
