Wow, Rudyard! You moved into a new place! Glad to see my favorite beginner guitarist is moving up in the world. It looks stunning, congrats on the new home man.
You have somehow carved out a niche where you can completely fuck up a video, end it early, and yet somehow have that be what makes it completely on brand.
In regards to the playing at 30 question. I started playing Bass at 36 and I am now 46 and have been in a few different bands. It's never too late to start.
I'm shocked the top question wasn't *"Why do you have a guitar channel when you can't play guitar?"* What's with everyone suddenly starting to respect Rudy as a person?
Might get mobbed for this but fwiw, the "If people acted like they do in musicals" (...why did I type all of that out) vid is one of my favorites you've ever done. It was such a solid blend of funny, "wtf he's so fucking good at this" (meaning the span from your creativity to your cinematographic skill, etc), and cringe. But not like "oof" cringe but the Rumbdy-style comedy that leans into awkwardness and absurdity in a [British accent] truly refined way, bro I think if you just keep doing what you're doing, the views and the subs will (continue to) come. I stumbled across your channel back when you had like...40k subs or something. Look how much it's grown! You're great, and you're equipped with a lot of talent and skill. Don't let the numbers get you down 👍 ...as much as you can anyway lol
As I know Christopher Lee (yeah, the actor) started playing metal when he was already pretty old. I don't know how much practice with the guitar he had before, but still that is inspiring, as his all life actually, man was a legend.
1:08 that story of Rumbdy finding megadeth is freakishly similar to mines, exept in my case it was a VHS of Countdown to Extinction that the previous owners of our house left. You don't find Megadeth, Megadeth finds YOU (edit: most likely on some outdated type of tape lol).
I honestly don’t know why I go through phases of not watching your stuff as I’ve honestly yet to see a video from you I haven’t loved... then again it makes for better bingeing I guess 😂 also I tend to faint fairly often too it really freaking sucks, hope your concussion is all better now fingers crossed you don’t hit your head too often it’d suck if we lost you man! We totally need to bring the stairway meme back for old time sake
Everybody starts in the moment 'Now'. Play, and keep playing. I think everyone has bad notes to get out of their system before they get to the good ones and complaints just make the process longer. Look for one of the Zappa interviews with PA officer. I used to have a VHS copy of them, lost on a loan...
Sorry that one video didn't do that well as far as view count goes. I can appreciate the work that went into it and actually enjoyed it a lot, especially since I rarely lol at your videos.
That jazz guitarist joke :D how dare you. Rudy, if I could give you two pieces of advice that may change your mindset: 1. You obviously have potential to make good music, don't call it cringy all the time :D if any advice I have seen about this topic is that you just gotta produce some output before you start making music that matches your taste. The second one is that there is more value in facing your challenges honestly :D so if you deliberately do something in a non-serious manner and then comfort yourself that, yeah, I was just goofing around (when deep down you still had hope 😀), then there will be little growth. I know it's hard, but I think it's still a better way to go :d goo luck and hope it didn't sound too preachy :D
Rudy u said you get paralised when you got a lot of ideas and stuff to do, i think it's called executive dysfunction and there's a great video on it from a Psychiatrist called dr k. from the HealthyGamerGG yt channel, it gives great insight of the condition you just explained.
Never understood people who cry at music. Or films. Or books. Think I had a lump in my throat once at some part of a film, possibly Braveheart, or Gladiator. No hate, just never got it. I get chills, of course, but tears, nope. Perhaps I'm dead inside. Gonna check out this Metheny song now; tissues at the ready.
Paralysis by options? You mean Burdened by choice? I have this all the time, especially when playing improv over a jam track. "Do I start with an arpeggio or a cool pentatonic lick?" - Me 2 minutes before I put my guitar down.

Never let them know your next move, bro.
I mean when all the videos are bad how can you be disappointed?
that jazz player restaurant story really moved me
I’m dying after the ‘what can move me joke’!!😂😂

Dude that musical video was one of my favorites!
I genuinely thought it had like over a million views. How did it tank so hard? It's one of his best videos!

I love the video. I think it's the title that's the problem. It's not clickbait-y enough.
Scared of horses huh? Relatable.
damn did the musical video really perform that bad?. thats honestly one of the best videos he has had recently.
Thumbnail and title.

I love the Arab dad accent. I think you nail it every time!!
The same for Clark. You're good with accents 😊😊
The truth will always be is a FANTASTIC song, and one of the most emotional I ever heard as well (followed by Ice from Camel, probably)

Best part of bass playing is "walking" . Walking around the tune and adding fills is the most fun part to me.

You got me with the Olive Garden story. For real I’m laughing my ass off. (I also have a very dry sense of humor) 😬
BRO! I hope someday that you are in a band. I look forward to hearing what may be created. 🤘
I absolutely loved the non-end of this video - and I don’t mean just the cat (who looks exactly like mine). Goodonya, mate! Mabrook aleik, ya akhi! 👍
There's a huge quality difference between the Rudy Ayoub channel and the Rudy Ayoub 2 channel. Keep up the good work with this channel.

Option paralysis is also a thing. I think it's good to have one when it comes to own creativity.
