Would love for AI separation technology to clean up the vocals, similar to Now and Then. Maybe use modern musicians to fill in the music. Just a thought
This was a demo recorded by Brian and Bob Norberg (Brian’s songwriting partner at the time) in Brian’s apartment. They both sing in it. Brian played the bass and Bob played the guitar.
Definitely has the sound of a microphone picking up something playing back off of speaker. Maybe Brian or somebody made a copy using a microphone into their tape recorder. This is definitely not a master recording off tape.
A rare early gem by the Boys with their signature harmonies!
Honestly, how did this tune not make it to an early album?
So it can be uncovered and enjoyed later.
Probably because Murry wasn't a fan of co-writer Bob Norberg.
It's the template for Surfer Girl, a much superior song. Too similar to have both.

Fantastic! I selfishly found the original version difficult to enjoy, but this really shines a new light on the track.
Thank Him? No, thank you!
this is so good, but the quality almost makes it sound eerie
Yes! That's exactly why I love it. From a distant time, long since gone..🙌
Lovely!

What is this recording, a demo? It’s strangely complete but also sounds like a recording of a recording

@@janeblinky wow I always thought it was Carl singing back up here. Bob sounds a lot like him 🤯
