I mean they did say Supergirl has a movie (witch is terrible) but the could do again this time give her the "New 52" look and bring on the Red Lantern.
To be fair it is very possible with the Cyborg film, after all Victor Stone's father was the creator of the original Titan Tower. Plus it could be shown that with what his son has become it can very easily lead into a Teen Titan movie. Due to Cyborg's actions his father could set up the tower and the Titan's can be made to cameo in the film speculating the chances. Or at least that is how I see it.
+StudioInkblot maybe thats gone shock you, unlike animated series original teen titans stories (well-known Wolfman-Perez era) are pretty dark actually.
Arnez Juggins Fair point still though there is honestly not a lot of in depth background information regarding Raven most of it is fairly straightforward or quick to tell.
***** It depends on which incarnation of the characters they chose. For starters current day Raven was raised by Trigon and was taught the art of war and conquered many realms they could probably find a way to show how she is resentful for this way of life and so on. Various other members of the Titans could hold their own movie if written properly. Red Robin has had his own solo series and it was well received by fans. Like I said it just depends on which incarnation of the titans is focused on or is going to be used.
Zantana is one of my favorite conceptual heroes for one big reason. Girl rocks a theme. I love her powers, her costuming, her personality... they all work so well together. She's a sleeper favorite. Would love to have a movie with her.
Zatanna has no comic book of her own, which is why you won't see her in a movie. You have to be well known to be in a movie, and right now, the only lady that is, is Wonder Woman.
I don't think that is a good idea because not a lot of people know about Black Canary. People use Black Widow often at number 2 or 1 because she is much more popular in movies and comics. She already appeared in 5 movies that help her gets more popularity. Black Canary may known from comics and animated shows and movies from DC Entertainment, but it is not as popular than MCU movies. Making a movie for Black Canary before Black Widow would be a pretty bad idea because of Black Canary popularity and the movie will not exactly make it at number one in the box office. I am not saying that Black Canary is not famous or anything, I am just saying that Black Canary still needs much more popularity or featured in much more video games or give her much more screen time in animated movies or just feature her in a future movie and then make a solo movie for her.
She-Hulk is just a female version of Hulk, just like Bat-Woman/Girl. I want more female main characters, but not just genderbends with oversexulized clothing.
No they are not they have their own unique personality and history that most of the time is barely tied to their male counterparts. And oversexualized clothing Batgirl is covered head to toe in clothing.
+Jonathan Ramos I just made a comment about that very reason she's more of a side character rather than a potential main character. It's better to have her as that cool spy side character.
Amen to that. Raven totally deserves the top slot, because she's the most complicated of all of these characters. Adding to that, the one she's in conflict with the most is herself! If possible, I'd actually ask her co-creator Marv Wolfman to write the story treatment for that film, as well as collaborate on the final script. But, who should portray her? That's one question yet to be answered. Maybe after seeing Cyborg kicking ass in the Justice League film, then Warner Bros. will finally say, "Titans, go!"
+Red Dead What? Storm is the most interesting of the Three. Shehulk got her powers from a blood transfusion, so an origins story would be irrelevant. Rogue and Storm, on the other hand, do have material for a very interesting Backstory.
I think a Batwoman film would be interesting. You'd have an LGBT Character who has a tragic backstory and she unlike Batman and the rest of his team, carries a gun and does kill.
Yes. My favorite animals are squirrels. So my dad gave me the Great Lakes Avengers comics as a joke (seeing as she was the only competent hero in it). Not sure how it would be done but I'd see a squirrel girl movie.
1. If they're making a Ms. Marvel movie, they can put Rogue in it :D 2. Bat Girl and Birds of Prey. That would be awesome :D Also throw in Bat Woman! 3. Psylocke is a great idea as well. They have so much to work off of with her. 4. I want the naive and super sweet version of Starfire :)
1.Its Captain Marvel and they wont put rouge fox owns the rights to the character.2.Why Batwoman isn't a member of the birds of prey.4.Please no that was an awful interpretation of the character.5.Again Fox owns Storm.
Samus Aran .....Seriously giving me hate because I'm laying down the facts? Fox and Disney are company rivals they aren't just going to say yeah sure go ahead use this character if you want.
KON- EL Please, playing the victim who lays down the facts doesn't suit you. Movie studios have always traded actors; imaginary characters shouldn't be more difficult to borrow than real people.
Samus Aran Ha then you clearly know nothing of legal agreements. Let me try and break it down for you. Fox owns the rights to the entire X-men characters heroes villains locations all of that is theirs to use only in live action movies. If Disney were to ignore this binding contracts then they would face lawsuits by Fox studios that could cost them who knows how much money and that's not good for business. You might be thinking now but they use Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in Age of Ultron and Civil War. The reason why they were able to is because of clever loopholes and changes in the comics. For starters thanks to the evens of Avengers X-men Axis it was revealed that not only are Scarlet witch and Quicksilver not magnetos children but they are also in fact not even mutants at all. Due to this Since the characters were no longer deemed mutants they no longer had to abide by the contracts as all major X-men characters had to be mutants. Ergo the characters were free for them to use in the movies so long as they didn't try and make them mutant or magnetos children oh it also helped that the two characters had been longstanding avengers members before becoming X-men. But, now you must also be thinking well how come Fox gets to continue using Quicksilver if he is no longer a mutant now. Simple answer is because X-men Days of Future Past was already out in theaters before this new retcon was established in the comics meaning they were allowed to continue using the character as they see fit.
Raven is definitely a character that I would LOVE to see in a standalone movie, because not only she is amazing with carrying on the magic aspect of her, but there is so much of a great fantasy lore that could be explored, she is above all my favorite Teen Titans character, sometimes I prefer her more than Starfire, its just that Raven is more of the cool and friendly goth girl you would still like to hangout, also the story arc that was shown in TT about her and her relationship with Trigon was excellent; Beast Boy has more chemistry with her than Terra; if there is ever a Raven solo movie, I would love to have Elizabeth Gillies as Raven
Gimme a break -- Starfire has a backstory that is more than merely colorful (especially in its current version, where she's an escaped slave who became a Space' Pirate Queen), has been a Teen Titan for decades (yet is still under 20 -- comic book logic, go figure), liberated her home planet, yadda yadda. Funny thing is, though, I actually opened this thread to agree with you that Black Canary should be in line ahead of Starfire. But not very far ahead.
I prefer the original I mean the one who got cancelled in 2007 I got so upset when that happens it was my favorite tv show it was more interesting and with a lot of action in every episode I loved it so much.
Rogue..Hells yes...but could also work as a tv series. Psylock- Hells yes. Starfire-Not really. Id rather see a Titans movie (Not teen titans as we have enough teeny bopper bs messing up good characters..hack..cough..spiderman...ugh...) Raven-would make a great daredevil...netflix type tv show. The rest i could give 2 poops about.
KON- EL I think you missed the point of my post. I said that I don't want some teenager playing whats supposed to be an adult character. Like they did with Spiderman. Trying to make it all Twilight-ish. Horrible. Thats why I was for a "Titans" movie, rather than the "Teen Titans" that seems to be more popular for some reason.
KON- EL Spiderman I wouldnt mind as a teen, if it wasnt for the fact that we have already had movies where they tried that and instead of casting a decent actor they instead used somebody who belongs in a Twilight film or an underwear commercial instead of a feature film. A Teen Titan movie could be done, but not a series. Even though I think as a teen movie it wouldnt be as impact. As a series like what was done with Daredevil, teens just don't work. What are you going to show them doing on thier downtime? Playing video games, complaining about the acne they don't have because they casted underwear models. I'm just fully against any more teens in superhero movies wherever possible. Unless they have somebody casting that actually cares if people can act.
Shadownian Having a personal distaste for the actor who played Spider-man is just that. And why exactly would Teen Titans need to be done like Daredevil? As for what they would do on their downtime again it could be anything its not like matt Murdock was always doing or going through something depressing when he wasn't on patrol at times he has just done casual things like going on a date talking to some people or just getting some food. Again this is more to blame for casting directors not actual teens themselves.
I want to see Raven and Enchantress work together and help each other gain control of their evil sides. I know enchantress isn't in the list here but those two have a lot it common and could delve into a pretty dark story line and fully carry their own movies.
Black Canary and Scarlet Witch should have been on this list for sure. SMH. and who else thinks that Batgirl should have her own TV show because that would be so amazing. Especially if it was in the flash universe. (cw)
Red Dead why not?? she has a really interesting background. throw quicksilver and magneto in the mix and its even better. too bad x-men and avengers are in different universes/studios.
Sorry Batgirl doesn't need a film, she's a supporting character. She-hulk would NEVER do well on film given that it would have to played by monstrous female bodybuilder which given it's removal in the Olympia shows the public distaste with overly masculine women.
I wouldn't really consider Batgirl a supporting character considering she stars in her own solo title and rarely teams up with with batman in his book. Generally Barbara ends up being the main character in what ever book she is in. That said, I think even the supporting characters in the batman universe are strong enough to star in their own movie.
No, but they don't have to do a jacked up She-Hulk (look at the cartoon they use in the video, where she's really tall but her muscles aren't very flashy). That was the point that guy was trying to make with Gamora. Also, like he said, they could always just CG her Hulk state. Don't get me wrong, I'm not really interested in a She-Hulk movie, but the reasons OP gave for why it wouldn't work can be easily circumvented.
Can't say I agree with most of these. Rogue and Psylocke are pretty meh (though if they do the latter, she'd better have the proper accent unlike in that animated snippet). Starfire and Raven work better as part of an ensemble. Make 'em key players in a Teen Titans movie (and not a dismally dark one either), and then maybe split them off for a smaller ensemble movie focused on one of their story arcs. Storm's power set isn't one I think would translate well to a full length feature film, though a movie about a young Storm could work... except it would have to operate outside of the most recent movie's timeline (not that that would be a bad thing). Black Widow would work better as a duo movie, teamed up with another not-too-super hero like Hawkeye (covering their missions together pre-Avengers), and the movie would need something so it wouldn't feel just like a couple of spies with gadgets. And Batgirl is a bit too similar to Batman, theme-wise, but without the darkness. She-Hulk and Spider-Woman would be good, though, with the latter having potential for a duo movie with Captain Marvel (depending on which iteration of her they use). Spider-Gwen would be a great choice... except Marvel and Sony are making another Spidey movie so that could mean over-saturation. I'd have liked to have seen her instead of another Spidey movie, actually. Huntress would be a superior choice to Batgirl. And while I'm not a fan of Power Girl with her power chest and its boob window, I guess she does have an audience. Beyond that, I'd rather see some more unique heroines that can tread more unique ground. Ones like Dust or Armor. Or how about the female Hawkeye, Kate Bishop? And one that has the potential to stand out, tone-wise, from the rest, Squirrel Girl? And of course, if you want to make one aimed at teens, the new Ms Marvel.
Storm has enough background to warrant a solo movie. I agree with you on more or less every other point. Altho, Huntress was already introduced in Green Arrow TV show. So it's unlikely she will see a movie in a long while.
I totally agree that Black Widow deserves her own movie. I would also love to see Squirrel Girl, Dazzler, Spider-Gwen, Freakazette and X-Ms get movies.
Only problem with spider Gwen is that she's too new in the comics. Wait awhile for her to get good stories. It's like making a daredevil movie in the early 70's.
Dazzler ? reeeeeeeally ? might as well make a movie with fuckin Jubilee in it. the hell can dazzler even do,all I remember her doing is sing and flash light in peoples eyes
At least in the 80's they didn't make a cheesy She-Ra film and ruin the potential. I think the upcoming Wonder Woman lead will soon carve the path for many of these to follow. And perhaps a touching up on Elektra and Catwoman.
Sorry, but Black Widow doesn't deserve to be above all those female characters who are a thousand times more important. Don't get me wrong, I love Natasha but number #1 is way too forced. And where the hell is Zatanna? Why is Black Canary and Vixen didn't make it to the list? Huntress should've got at least an honorable mention. I'm kinda disappointed. Looks like the person who made this list just went for the most popular ones and not for those actually deserves it.
+Jonathan Iyere actually she was popular enough to get her own comic and a tie in event centered around a villain in her rouge gallery, plus she is a vary compelling character who's origin story is spread out in flashbacks which could make for a pulp fiction like formula. Also If everyone loved spidey in the airport during civil war then,if done justice, audiences of movie goers will WORSHIP her. She is one of the very few people to have similar powers to someone and be MUCH more powerful then them. What silk did in issue 6 of volume 1 was so Badass, plus silk has attempted to kill before, so we can see a conflicted woman and it's the story of us trying to find our place in life when things get out of our control and take us out of it and what people do when they have an option to take it back. I would have said Nico Minoru too but she is more suited for a runaways movie first which keeps on getting delayed. Sorry that I am Biased, silk is my favorite comic book character
Yeah these female heroes deserve films, but what happens when its given to the wrong director? Then the whole film will go down and will not be given a second chance
A biopic of Jean Grey, from her Marvel Girl days to her death and the school being named after her, and all the stuff that happened to her in between. That'd literally be an epic movie.
Black Widow? Really? Based on the established MCU a Black Widow stand-alone movie simply isn't reasonable. They should pour their resources into expanding the universe and exploring new and exciting female heroes. Black Widow is good as a secondary character.
Zatanna & Huntress (Helena Bertalini) both have interesting backstories as far as origins go but I feel like they would serve really well as supporting characters rather than having their own movies
For me, a Storm movie would kick ass. Showing a young Storm losing her parents, igniting her powers through her clostrophobia, her early encounters with Black Panther, working under Shadow King, getting saved by Professor X, etc...her movie, if done right, could be fucking amazing. Just keep Halle Berry away from it!
If they made a Power Girl film, they would need to get an actress that's like Scarlett Johansson - someone who has both the looks and can hold her own in on-screen fights without sacrificing her sex appeal
+Neville6000 Zatanna has had a solo series on both DC and Vertigo; and two limited series and at least three mini-series. Unlike most of the other women on this list, Zatanna is not defined by a team nor does her story need one to make her compelling. Black Widow was practically unknown to general audiences until they plopped her in Iron Man and most were still completely unaware of who she was until the first Avengers film. Plus, we've already seen trained assassin flicks, mutant movies and alien films. Magic is a new twist. Add in Zatanna's connection with Batman, maybe a cameo, and make the movie a horror and DC has its answer to Doctor Strange and a way to introduce Justice League Dark.
CHRISTOPHER CASTIEL: Thanks for the corrections, but what I feel about this still stands with me; until she's in a movie alongside a group of characters, her having a solo movie won't work. Plus, all of those appearances _are in comic books_, *_which not everybody reads_* (especially moviegoers.)
Oh my god! I'd so love it if the Black Widow got her own movie! I can just think of so many ways they could make it epic! They could begin it with her time in the Red Room and reveal through several movies that she's much older than she appears thanks to the Infinity Serum! The film directors could easily make a series just based on that whole premise! Even better, they could even add her partnering with Bucky in the Red Room! ...Though that would contradict information already stated in the Captain America films so I guess not. I'm not even that into comics and I can remember so many interesting things about her character that would make incredible movies and you have to admit, Scarlett Johannson makes a phenomenal Black Widow!
+TheDarkKnight Mera is far from a sidekick. I think you're thinking of Aqualad/girl. She is the Queen of Atlantis and can hold her own without Aquaman lmao
Morgan_Dext So... your example is a elseworld story from a digital first web comic in which Mera is part of an Ensemble of female superheroes? Thank you for proving my point.
+sazude2 Able to hold a film with their own identity, not shoehorn characters to make the heroines side characters, among other factors. Raven could have a successful origin story through her demonic background. Black Widow could succeed with the espionage element, much like Winter Soldier (who also deserves a solo film in my opinion). However, both Marvel characters in the top 3 are mostly there due to popularity.
+Max Dresser Oh, and as for Storm, she was too flat as a character. Halle Berry was good, but I don't think that she could hold a solo film.. If another actress got the part, I might be able to overlook it.
+Max Dresser Oh, and as for Storm, she was too flat as a character. Halle Berry was good, but I don't think that she could hold a solo film.. If another actress got the part, I might be able to overlook it.
The ones I'd mainly love to see are Black Widow, Starfire, and Cat Woman (halle berries was nice imo but we need a real catwoman orgin movie) Black Canary would be aweomse but she's only appeared in arrow
They couldn't make her the daughter of the Commissioner, since he's too old to be her daddy, so they made her a niece of Alfred. I liked her as Batgirl, and though that she was okay, and I saw no problem with the blonde hair, since Stephanie Brown (The Spoiler, who became Batgirl for a while in the comic books) was also blonde. That's a petty reason to hate Silverstone as Batgirl. Note, that I'm not defending the movie, just Silverstone as Batgirl.
She hulk, batgirl, and arguably power girl are weak spinoff characters who don't stand on their own. Meaning they only became popular because of their relationship to an already popular male character.
I love how that's not even true. Out of the three, Bat-girl and She-hulk would work fine in spinoffs, especially She-hulk, who has the most interesting concept considering that she's more than just the female hulk. Same with Bat-girl, while Power-girl is nothing but breasts. Out of the three, she amounts to nothing. For the longest time, she had no origin, while the other two had a clear and understandable beginning.
+Wallace Bogan- what I'm referring to is the fact that all 3 characters use the popularity and iconography of a pre-existing popular character in order to draw interest. Batgirl shehulk and power girl all rely on their obv connection to their respective male counterparts and wouldn't exist without them. No original concept was needed when they were conceptualized. They simply took popular male character and stuck a girl or she onto the name then tweaked the outfit a little and came up with an interesting back story. This is the same with all spinoff characters. These characters don't succeed on their own merits, as their own separate identities. For instance ask yourself if she hulk was the same character she is except that she wasn't green and didn't have hulk in her name, would she have become a popular character?
Rick Reny She wouldn't be She-hulk at all then. The same could be said about Lady Deadpool, who came from a storyline that did the exact same thing. Fact is, they are all interesting characters, that have not only stood the test of time, but have become characters in their own right. Regardless of who they share a name with, they have each became their own.
Cinthia Cruzado Definitely. I think that when she joined the Titans, it was already full of popular characters (eg. Red Robin, Raven, Beast Boy etc.) and unfortunately people didn't pay much attention to Rose and she was overshadowed :/ I loved her mini tho!
Morgan_Dext That was the best. She was actually one of the only characters I enjoyed in the New 52 comics while the others were complete disaster. New 52 was terrible.
Raven, absolutely! She avoids the trap of being the female version of an already established male character, and her complex background and powers woud make an amazing story and movie.
You'd think in a genre aimed primarily at teenage boys, scantily clad super-heroines like, say, Psylocke would be money in the bank. But female heroes seem to thrive better in a darker more adult venue - Jessica Jones eg! A Psylocke show would be good if she was outside the law and alienated from her own hero-clan! Girl on the run kinda thing!
Some of these would probably be better in team up movies. Black Canary and Green Arrow, She-Hulk and Hulk, Starfire and Nightwing, Storm and Black Panther, Vixen and Green Lantern-John Stewart. I would say Rogue and Gambit, but until we get Rogue from the comics (with all the powers and more importantly her personality) and not the worthless Anna Pacquin one, I don't care.
Yeah I know they didn't have a thing in the comics, but I liked the brief romance they had on JLU. Really wish they would have developed it more and maybe in a live action movie they could explore it. Not force it, but see if their is a spark between the two. He could be a veteran superhero helping out a newcomer or something.
Aaron Weber Interesting but if Vixen were to show up on the big screen it should just be her that whole romance thing with John should be left in the TV show.
Ideally yes it should be just her, but movie studios don't work like that. They feel the need to force romances into virtually every comic book movie, even obscure romances like Cap. and Peggy and now Wonder Woman and Steve. Iron Man never ends up in a relationship with Pepper in the comics. Heck the Nolan trilogy created a love interest for Bruce -Rachel. I don't care for love interests in comic movies. All I'm saying is if Vixen got her own movie and they are forcing a love interest in their, force John in their. I like him better than Bronze Tiger, which didn't last long, and it's better then throwing in a new character.
Most of all I want to watch movie about : 1 Scarlet Witch-Coz she is now the COOLEST avenger!!!& if marvel did movie about captain america who is most boring avenger, why not to do a movie about Scarlet Witch who is most interesting avenger now!!!!! 2 She ra-She is AWESOME!!!!! 3 Supergirl -at least we have tv series!!! 4 She hulk 5 Thora-female thor!!! 6 Wasp 7 Lady Sif 8 Miss Marvel!!! But most of all I want a movies about female avengers & female team of DC heroines!!!!! IT WOULD BE SOOO GREAT!!!!!
+4estrose supporting at best? youre kidding she's a freaking goddess!! but I do agree that Raven and star fire need a movie it'd be awesome to see them in live action
she hulk..? batgirl..? power girl..? id rather see black canary..red sonja..a lara croft reboot..n the upcoming ghost n da shell... oh n that she RA looks pretty badass too... how bout gen13..? the mostly female membered super team.
Hawkgirl has basically always been tied to Hawkaman unless you count her Earth 2 counterpart, Zatanna has no real villains of her own shes always been more of a team member than a solo character, Jessica Cruz just became a Green lantern and works with Simon Baz she is long from being her own characters.
A Black Widow movie would be AWESOME!! But what would be the plot? The Red Room? Meeting Winter Soldier? What happened in Budapest? Also a Spider Gwen movie would be great.
i would love to see raven in a solo movie
What about a Teen Titans movie? But yeah, Raven in a solo movie would be awesome!
Didn't it say at the start that mystique had a movie coming up already?
Me too
totally
I would love to see you in a solo movie
Zatanna needs to be on this list.
Raven & Starfire are two female Teen Titans I would love to see so much for there solo movie.
same
I just want red hood and the outlaws tbh with you. so starfire standalone could lean to that run nicely
I mean they did say Supergirl has a movie (witch is terrible) but the could do again this time give her the "New 52" look and bring on the Red Lantern.
***** You got a point there on that......But hope some day in the next season's of Supergirl they give her "New 52" costume.
I agree two because it the tradition, for because I read mostly New 52 comic more then any other DC comics.
Not even an honorable mention for Zatanna.
I know! She has such a unique character and is by far one of the most underrated superheroes I can think of.
Zatana should have a movie
This, DC need magical superheroes
a teen titans movie would be amazing
Cyborg should've been saved for a TT movie not Justice League
+Colonel 100 Oh, like anything in the DCEU would be that light and cheery.
To be fair it is very possible with the Cyborg film, after all Victor Stone's father was the creator of the original Titan Tower. Plus it could be shown that with what his son has become it can very easily lead into a Teen Titan movie. +StudioInkblot maybe thats gone shock you, unlike animated series original teen titans stories (well-known Wolfman-Perez era) are pretty dark actually.
nemesis3587 I'm a huge comics fan. I was mocking the idea that it'd be like TTG.
Raven and Starfire solo movie would be great
Raven is one of the best female superheroes. She inspired me.
I dont see them working outside of the teen titans since there so tied to the team. especially raven as much as i love her character.
Well they are making her solo comics this year so we'll see happens. Expect the unexpected, my friend, expect the unexpected
Raven is my favorite superheroine along Wonder Woman, i would love a movie about her so much!
+BoringMan Except for Trigon
A Raven movie would be so awesome
Raven has to be the best choice for a movie. Heck, you could probably make a trilogy out of her story.
Not really she is always been tied to the Titans.
+KON- EL yeah but movie have been different then comics for years and still did good(civil war most recent)
Arnez Juggins Fair point still though there is honestly not a lot of in depth background information regarding Raven most of it is fairly straightforward or quick to tell.

+Dewani90 and don't forget to through in a little beast boy here and there
What about Zantana? Nerds would spend days figuring out all her backwards spells!
But Black Canary would also be awesome!
Seriously. DC does not use Zatanna enough
Zantana is one of my favorite conceptual heroes for one big reason. Girl rocks a theme. I love her powers, her costuming, her personality... they all work so well together. She's a sleeper favorite. Would love to have a movie with her.
i like zatanna too. I just find her to be very interesting and her powers have a cool unique twist. But i rly wanna see Raven tho....
I totally agree. DC doesn't use zatanna enough and it is kind of a shame.she has a lot of potential thou
Zatanna has no comic book of her own, which is why you won't see her in a movie. You have to be well known to be in a movie, and right now, the only lady that is, is Wonder Woman.
Definitely Raven, Starfire, and Black Widow.
Black Canary needs her own movie before Black Widow.

Black Canary will be in the Green Arrow movie
+Phillip Phillips what green arrow movie?
Black Canary deserves more than just an honorable mention. I'd take that over a Black Widow movie any day.
Seriously! A Black Widow and Hawkeye movie would be nice, but one with only one of them doesn't seem like enough.
Hawkeye could hold out on his own unlike Widow his solo comics sell better.
She Hulk needs to be in the MCU NOW.
Ikr
yea. if they ever make another hulk movie she needs to be introduced and then given her own movie
screw another hulk movie we want a she hulk movie instead :D
She's gonna be in a netflix series after the Defenders is finished.
Funkmaster K i dont see how they could introduce her into the mcu without a hulk movie. i dont see her coming from tv to the big screen sadly
Go be a feminist somewhere else.
+RosieSquall nah
+LittleTurtle01 I do know that they have their own comics but it's like they're out of ideas and can't think of something more original.
true true
were are my raven fans
I am. I would love a Wolfman era Titans movie. Raven, Starfire, Wonder Girl, Robin, Wally, Cyborg, Aqualad & Beast Boy.
Cyborg is Justice League these days.
hi
There are my raven fans what's up
Sup
we all knew black widow was going to be #1 even though we really don't need a movie about her.
true
ya same
They want scarlett johanson.
You read my mind. Shes great but not interesting for a movie of her own.
+Jonathan Ramos I just made a comment about that very reason she's more of a side character rather than a potential main character. It's better to have her as that cool spy side character.
Am I the only one who thinks that Raven is the hottest DC female ever
Yeah she's hot
yea not alone
well I'm a female but a lot guys I know think she's hot
Probably not
+A. T. Damn right lol
Please do Storm. She didn't get nearly enough screen time in the new Xmen movie (none of the horsemen did) and she has some really cool backstory.
scarlet and raven will be a awesome movie *separate
but where's the teen titan move >:(
they had a teen titans vs justice league
Star Sitsu No their very own movie
Derpy Link they had tokyo movie
Star Sitsu Cool tell the name
Raven by a long shot
she should've been number one. Black widow don't do much....
Storm, Rogue and She Hulk......👍🏽
rogue, rouge is red in french :)
😀😎
She hulk maybe but defiantly not Storm or Rogue
+Nathan Taffijn 😂😂😂
+Red Dead What? Storm is the most interesting of the Three. Shehulk got her powers from a blood transfusion, so an origins story would be irrelevant. Rogue and Storm, on the other hand, do have material for a very interesting Backstory.
I am sick and tired of Black Widow.
I want black canary
+Диляна Пейчева watch arrow
+KingOfInfinity1 Black Canary in Arrow Sucks.
+KingOfInfinity1 they made her so weak when is not sara I want the real one and i'm watching arrow I can't believe they kill her
+Диляна Пейчева thats the thing hate about that show, its good but Black Canary is Wasted, i want the Comic Canary with her Canary Cry.
1.storm 2.she hulk 3.pyslocke 4.raven 5.vixen 6.black widow 7. jean grey phoenix 8. rogue 9. black canary 10. domino
I want an X-23 movie. Talk about dramatic history in that one. And I love her.
i'm glad storm was on this list. i have always wanted to see a movie about her
I really want Raven and Rogue
I think a Batwoman film would be interesting. You'd have an LGBT Character who has a tragic backstory and she unlike Batman and the rest of his team, carries a gun and does kill.
That would be fucking awesome! :D
Red hood doesn't count I'm guessing
Yess, Kate would be awesome.
she also became a vampire and was in a relationship with Nightara....
We've got enough PC bullshit characters in movies already
We need a Squirrel Girl movie
nah
Yes!
Why am I not surprised that Nicolas Cage says that xD
Yes. Yes we do. If Ant Man can work, so can Squirrel Girl.
Yes. My favorite animals are squirrels. So my dad gave me the Great Lakes Avengers comics as a joke (seeing as she was the only competent hero in it). Not sure how it would be done but I'd see a squirrel girl movie.
1. If they're making a Ms. Marvel movie, they can put Rogue in it :D
KON- EL They can re-create stories and characters. They always do. Just make friends with FOX. It's easy to do, unless your name is Kon-El
Can't wait for the top 10 male superheroes who deserve a movie
Already done. They're just referred as underrated as every non-ensemble superhero movie is a male one.
.....really
You mean to tell me they HAVEN'T done that yet? And here I thought that Watch Mojo had done EVERYTHING to the point where they had run out of ideas...
NIGHTWING
Howard the Duck lol
Black canary Is a bit more important to just be an honourable mention
true
Nothing more than Green Arrow's bitch.
+KeijiMaeda86 No way man. In comics she is really more than this.
Ikr? If your just going to pick these characters out of nowhere black canary should at least be here. People like rouge? Are you fucking serious?
Nic Saunders
Not really a fan of either but casually wayyyy more people know Rogue than they do black canary.
So starfire and psylocke deserve a movie centred on them before black canary? Right...
yes Black Canary has been on 2 tv shows
+Sabi Zia even though she should have more than that
+KilgraveMadeMeDoIt you can never have too much of a good thing and arrow ruined what black canary is
Gimme a break -- Starfire has a backstory that is more than merely colorful (especially in its current version, where she's an escaped slave who became a Space' Pirate Queen), has been a Teen Titan for decades (yet is still under 20 -- comic book logic, go figure), liberated her home planet, yadda yadda.
Funny thing is, though, I actually opened this thread to agree with you that Black Canary should be in line ahead of Starfire. But not very far ahead.
+Sophia Watkins super ass in powerful in real hero as in good
i love starfire and raven, but teen titans go ruined them both
Exactly!! Hate that show so much!!
I was so very disappointed when the whispers and teasers of teen titans coming back turned into that.
+DeetsterB Why that show hasn't been cancelled is one of life's greatest mysteries.
+Cameron McEwen because young kids watch it and think it's hilarious. I know a 10 year old who watches it and thinks it's great. I wanted to cry.
I prefer the original I mean the one who got cancelled in 2007 I got so upset when that happens it was my favorite tv show it was more interesting and with a lot of action in every episode I loved it so much.
I support a Raven, Rouge and Hitgirl movie
Rogue..Hells yes...but could also work as a tv series.
Psylock- Hells yes.
Starfire-Not really. Id rather see a Titans movie (Not teen titans as we have enough teeny bopper bs messing up good characters..hack..cough..spiderman...ugh...)
Raven-would make a great daredevil...netflix type tv show.
The rest i could give 2 poops about.
Starfire is not a teenager and has a dark origin and Spider-Man in the comics is actually a grown man.
KON- EL
I think you missed the point of my post. I said that I don't want some teenager playing whats supposed to be an adult character. Like they did with Spiderman. Trying to make it all Twilight-ish. Horrible.
Thats why I was for a "Titans" movie, rather than the "Teen Titans" that seems to be more popular for some reason.
Shadownian Spider-Man had started off as a teenager though so it was perfectly fine that he was a teen. A Teen Titans movie can be done right.
KON- EL
Spiderman I wouldnt mind as a teen, if it wasnt for the fact that we have already had movies where they tried that and instead of casting a decent actor they instead used somebody who belongs in a Twilight film or an underwear commercial instead of a feature film.
A movie of Spider Gwen :D i'm the only one? Really? Okay bye...
Nope, silk also needs one too
I WANT A SPIDERGWEN MOVIE
I would kill for a Spiderverse movie about Spider-Gwen, Silk and Spider-Woman
+Katie Lee no she doesn't
+Red Dead some people think she does, some don't. individual opinions. you know
List needs more Squirrel Girl.
no
She's awesome though
No
+John Rodarte (Darth Ramious) she's also cancer
I wouldn't mind them delaying the next avengers movie if we got this.
Really? Absolutely no mention of Jean Grey? Her story alone could be a trilogy!
edro51188 they said they wouldn't use characters who have a mpvie scheduled. Jean Grey is getting X-Men Dark Phoenix
I want to see Raven and Enchantress work together and help each other gain control of their evil sides. I know enchantress isn't in the list here but those two have a lot it common and could delve into a pretty dark story line and fully carry their own movies.
Dude. Black Widow's origin story would make an awesome movie!
Black Canary and Scarlet Witch should have been on this list for sure. SMH. and who else thinks that Batgirl should have her own TV show because that would be so amazing. Especially if it was in the flash universe. (cw)
i would love a birds of prey movie
huntress batgirl and black canary
ghazi abbas that would be great
Black Canary maybe but defiantly not Scarlet Witch
Red Dead why not?? she has a really interesting background. throw quicksilver and magneto in the mix and its even better. too bad x-men and avengers are in different universes/studios.
Black Canary could appear in a Birds of Prey movie.
Gamora from Guardians... That's basically Space She-Hulk. If you REALLY want her all hulked out CG is always an option.
+Lauren Lees but her solo title is absolute trash
+KeijiMaeda86 Gamora looks nothing like She-Hulk
No, but they don't have to do a jacked up She-Hulk (look at the cartoon they use in the video, where she's really tall but her muscles aren't very flashy). That was the point that guy was trying to make with Gamora. Also, like he said, they could always just CG her Hulk state. Don't get me wrong, I'm not really interested in a She-Hulk movie, but the reasons OP gave for why it wouldn't work can be easily circumvented.
Finally a black widow movie it’s about time
Can't say I agree with most of these.
You guys fucking suck
I totally agree that Black Widow deserves her own movie. I would also love to see Squirrel Girl, Dazzler, Spider-Gwen, Freakazette and X-Ms get movies.
Yooo...I have a new goal...help me reach a million sub with me doing nothing...just sub me...thats all.ill even sub u if u want me to.
The light can blind people haha. Another character I think should get her own movie is Phantom Lady
agree with almost the entire list, except with the #1
Fuck you
I'd like a Cloak & Dagger movie and we know she would steal the spotlight for sure
What do you think about the announcement of the Batwoman casting of Ruby Rose?
At least in the 80's they didn't make a cheesy She-Ra film and ruin the potential.
I think the upcoming Wonder Woman lead will soon carve the path for many of these to follow. And perhaps a touching up on Elektra and Catwoman.
So I commented "WatchMojo is running out of ideas to do" before and they just removed it as spam. Guess they can't take criticism either.
I Swear if Silk is not on this list.......
God damit
I feel ya
+SonofKratos 13 on the bright side, she is more the. Likely in homecoming
I disagree silk is not nearly interesting enough
Like wonder woman
A biopic of Jean Grey, from her Marvel Girl days to her death and the school being named after her, and all the stuff that happened to her in between. That'd literally be an epic movie.
Black Widow? Really?
Based on the established MCU a Black Widow stand-alone movie simply isn't reasonable. They should pour their resources into expanding the universe and exploring new and exciting female heroes. Black Widow is good as a secondary character.
Her character is boring, even with backstory. Especially when compared to a lot of the others. Not only that it's been done before in other movies.
Also, I'm not so sure Johansson even wants to be in solo Black Widow movies
+Neville6000 I agree with her. Black Widow well and truly deserves a solo movie.
if Psylocke were to have her own movie, I'd honestly recast Olivia Munn (Love you but sorry).
Zatanna & Huntress (Helena Bertalini) both have interesting backstories as far as origins go but I feel like they would serve really well as supporting characters rather than having their own movies
Finally! Some love for Zatanna.
No Zatanna??? Black Widow has got to be the most boring superheroine of all
Zatanna isn't that well known enough to be in her own movie or TV series-hell, she's not even had a solo comic book.
Zatanna does NOT deserve a movie.
Yes she has.
Plus, all of those appearances _are in comic books_, *_which not everybody reads_* (especially moviegoers.)
magneto love interest of rogue?!?!? WHATTTT???? WHY DIDNT I HEAR OF IT!!!
IDK why, but I want a movie about Jubillee from the X men, or Pheonix. They have so much potential.
YES! YES! YES! I would LOVE to see the "She-Hulk" on the big screen and/or the small screen someday. She is to me an incredible heartthrob.
How isn't Jubilee on this list!
If Aquaman's treated properly in Justice League then his movie should do well and if it does Mera should get her own movie
+TheDarkKnight Mera is far from a sidekick. I think you're thinking of Aqualad/girl. She is the Queen of Atlantis and can hold her own without Aquaman lmao
Aquaman is d'art Hawkeye. Unfortunately they treat them like nothing but I love them anyways.
+Morgan_Dext In terms of her powers and abilities yeah. In terms of her character holding her own solo story? No.
+KeijiMaeda86 Mera could easily hold her own story. Take DC bombshells, for example.
Morgan_Dext
So... your example is a elseworld story from a digital first web comic in which Mera is part of an Ensemble of female superheroes?
Thank you for proving my point.
BLACKWIDO NEEDS A MOVIE
Thats the first time i totaly agree with youre list. Well done Watchmojo.
Spider woman is number # 1 to have a solo movie
4 and down I agree with, but not the others, they aren't the staples that the others are. #1 is only because of all the movies
and what staples do 3 and up need to be?
+Max Dresser You've kinda stated already why they could have solo movies and under what stipulations.
We all know why we love Power Girl 😏😏😏
Because she's an awesome character with a unique history are two reasons. What were your two reasons?
You know. Don't make me spell it out
Andy Guanaco They've got to be two huge reasons.
Tom Leonard two big beautiful bodacious reason
ugh... why do I agree to this 😂😂
The ones I'd mainly love to see are Black Widow, Starfire, and Cat Woman (halle berries was nice imo but we need a real catwoman orgin movie)
Black Canary would be aweomse but she's only appeared in arrow
I would LOVE a solo movie about Psylocke! She is my favourite superhero and I want to know more about her origins anyway.
My personal top 10
1.Scarlet Witch
2.Raven
3.America Chavez
4.Hawkgirl
5,Mera
6.X-23
7.Miss Martian
8.DC-Catwoman/Marvel-Black Cat
9.Quake
10.Batgirl-Barbera
Notice how you ignored Silverstone's big screen Batgirl. Yes, it wasn't her movie, but you mentioned the TV Batgirls.
It's probably because Silverstone was terrible.
We all want to ignore that
you mean Barbara Penny worth yes she was a shit adaptation of Batgirl since when is Barbara blond and Alfred's niece yuck.
That movie is considered a sham and Silverstone's role in it is a bigger sham than Uma as poison ivy.
A black widdow movie would be shit.
Agreed just seeing black widow would be boring
excuse me but her backstory is gold
agent carter already did the black widow backstory
+Valarie Stone no it is not lhh
extremely boring
Ms Marvel would be interesting with Charlize Theron playing the character.
a Stand alone Hit Girl Movie was confirmed and is scheduled for a 2018 or 2019 release. With a Possible Kick Ass 3 after that to end off the series.
I think Wolfsbane should be in the next x-men movie. I also think Raven should be mentioned in an episode of supernatural.
Regardless of who they share a name with, they have each became their own.
while yes, she will be in suicide squad. i want a solo film with just harley quinn. doing whatever she wants
They already confirmed a Harley Quinn movie. It'll probably come out next year or in 2018.
I miss the joisey accent though.
rogue and gambit not magneto ew
They forgot Ravager, although I think she's more anti-hero than hero
Cinthia Cruzado Ah yes I love Rose! Delving into her backstory would be so good on screen!
Morgan_Dext Indeed. I feel that Ravager is being underappreciated as a character as well as many other comic book female characters
Girl on the run kinda thing!
raven
i would love if they made a black widow movie. But also Scarlet witch
Johansson doesn't really want to be in one, most likely.
.
Why Vixen and John they never had a thing with each other in the comics.
Most of all I want to watch movie about :
1 Scarlet Witch-Coz she is now the COOLEST avenger!!!& if marvel did movie about captain america who is most boring avenger, why not to do a movie about Scarlet Witch who is most interesting avenger now!!!!!
2 She ra-She is AWESOME!!!!!
3 Supergirl -at least we have tv series!!!
4 She hulk
5 Thora-female thor!!!
6 Wasp
7 Lady Sif
8 Miss Marvel!!!
But most of all I want a movies about female avengers & female team of DC heroines!!!!! IT WOULD BE SOOO GREAT!!!!!
Raven Starfire and Storm. Yasssss
Everyone been begging that Black Widow to have her movie, cuz we all know that she's the hottest female hero
Storm shouldve been number one
Every time I think 'Raven or Starfire should be in a film' I remember that Holly wood has about a 70% chance to fuck it up.
So who should make movies with those two in them, then? Do you want them to be in fan films?
+4estrose supporting at best? youre kidding she's a freaking goddess!! but I do agree that Raven and star fire need a movie it'd be awesome to see them in live action
she hulk..? batgirl..? power girl..? id rather see black canary..red sonja..a lara croft reboot..n the upcoming ghost n da shell...
oh n that she RA looks pretty badass too... how bout gen13..? the mostly female membered super team.
Why tf would Power Girl get a movie
+Red Dead because boobs?
+Teatimesan it'd be the most boring movie ever
+Red Dead if u say, I don't know much about her, finding out she was just an alternate reality Supergirl was disappointing too
What's wrong with Batgirl?
Black Widow is totally nice
As a film student, I actually want to make a Black Canary/Green Arrow movie. It really is a matter of finding actors that play off each other well.
Hawkgirl? Zatanna? Batwoman? Huntress? Jessica Cruz/ GL? Not even as honorable mentions? Wtf
Negasonic Teenage Warhead
No
Are you serious? So because she's a girl and you've seen her in a movie for how long, she deserves a solo.
GTFO
Nope
What, the Deadpool one or the real one in the comics? There is a MASSIVE difference between the two...the least of which being that she's long dead.
hell yeah
why do they need their own movies? The kitchen isn't that entertaining.
Savage
Loooool
hahahahahahahahaha
triggered 😂😂
Daummmmmmmmm
A Black Widow movie would be AWESOME!! But what would be the plot? The Red Room? Meeting Winter Soldier? What happened in Budapest? Also a Spider Gwen movie would be great.
I would watch the whole list, including the honorable mentions.
