I did what you recommended, for Passover I brought a big WFPB shepherds pie ,enough for everyone,to my family’s non vegan Passover meal. I made the ground faux meat with onions, quinoa, mushrooms and walnuts. With Trader Joe’s fire roasted onions and peppers, sun dried tomatoes, Italian herbs, and some zucchini as the Passover compliant veggies in the middle, topped with mashed potatoes. I knew it was going to feed my husband and I, but I was shocked when most of it was gone. I didn’t tell anyone it was vegan because it would freak out my very food conservative family. I’ve always been reluctant to share my healthy vegan food because my family can be very insulting about my husband’s and my diet. But it worked, just like you said. They ate it before they knew it was my vegan food, and then were very complimentary. I don’t think they will mind me bringing my food now. Thanks for all the great advice!
@@liahk1000 thanks! If they had known what it was made from they wouldn’t have been so open to trying it. They are very skeptical of my crazy diet. They don’t understand understand it. They don’t have any empathy for animals. Don’t understand diet and health although many are doctors. They found out later and they all thought I had used impossible burgers or something like that. They were surprised how good it was with WFPB
A lifetime subscription to their Living Wisdom Library at Esteem Dynamics was some of the best money I've ever spent. I honestly shiver and feel sick when I think about where my life would be had I not stumbled upon Jen and Doug through your show and learned about evolutionary psychology. Thank you for broadcasting these life-changing messages to the world, Chef AJ. The three of you are treasures to me. Take care!
Dorothy Parker poem: In youth it was a way I had, to do my best to please, to change with every passing lad, to suit his theories. But now I know the things I know, and do the things I do. And if you do not like me so,. To Hell my love with you.
When I suffer from withdrawal symptoms from BYG podcast and Howk blocked episodes, dear Chef AJ comes to my rescue with her brilliant questions to DL. Thank you Chef AJ.
Thank you, I wasn't going to watch Bad Vegan because of the title and found it really interesting and ordered the book And The Sea Will Tell, love all three of you, smart people that are also vegans💖💖💖💖
Greetings from New Zealand- another outstanding session ' on the couch' with Doug & Jen- thanks so much Chef AJ for organising and huge thanks to Jen & Doug for taking time away from the highly anticipated book you are writing Happy Easter
I’m just a few minutes in and gosh how I love those two and you Chef AJ!!! And I have to confess that the little beard dr Lisle is growing is absolutely absolutely charming! I know it’s an very trivial comment but I think he just went to a nine or a 10!!! Hahaha 😝humour from me , loads of love and greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Thanks Chef AJ. You are so good to us! Love Dr. Doug's laughter. Wow. To appeal to the entire market?! Hahahaha! However truth is I long for my one true love. Haven't met him yet :-( however I am preparing.
On the subject of having a relationship with a Narcissist, coping strategies are brilliantly described by Dr. Ramani Durvasula on her You Tube channel. Her book is titled "Don't You Know Who I Am"?
This is gold, AJ! Like you :) Dr Lisle and Dr Howk are indeed the voices I need in my head when it comes to relationships! In terms of guys I think I’ve been too nice, honestly. I’m 34 now and really want the right one. They’re giving me the confidence I need to maybe end something that isn’t right - or at least tell him more of what I need. Love you all🤍🤍🤍
Re listening to this. It’s brilliant. I think I’m in a relationship with a narcissist 😆 Definitely helpful information here, as always w DDL. Thanks again AJ❤️❤️❤️
~ 28:30 if L had gone done a non med path ...perhaps 2 stents; ~30m Brennan case; 52:18 deceptive altruism as the narcissist victim signals that their deal or share that they are getting is okay , is sufficient..... narcissist then to need direct feedback not passive aggression
Wow. With the increasing lack of shared values my husband and I have since I alone went vegan, I suspect my marriage of over 50 years may be doomed. My diabetes has been cured but his negative attitudes apparently can’t be. 🙁
He finally looks like a proper psychologist, lol. Every psychologist I've ever seen has a beard, and I've seen SO many of them in my lifetime. ....wait....
Interesting definition of a narcissist but very personal and rather inaccurate but kind of sweet.. One of the characteristic of a narcissist is when they see you not as a separate person as an extention of themselves and thus being of the service of their needs..and since you are not a separate person yourself, you can't have different views, feelings and needs..It’s all about them..that's a simplified description from the point of view of psychoanalytical thought...
I am just a few minutes in but I am always amazed by Dr. Lisle's bewitching abilities in wording a complex topic

17:00 Smelling is a huge deal
I decided to stop looking for Mr Right. And start becoming Ms Right. Saw this in a cartoon a long time ago.
Road trip or go visit his family with him. Take him to visit your family.
Another vote for the beard!
What personality trait is favorable for salespeople or the Disney hostess? I didn't catch the drift.

It is worth it to try again ❤.
Are these interviews available online as a podcast, audio only, like on alexa?
just on my RUclips channel
I'd also enjoy having your interviews on audio only, so that I could listen when not connected to wifi. :)
