until you find something to cover your large egg chair, put the cushions under the couch cover while you are gone so at least they are covered.

RE: Fruit.
Don't chuck it. Citrus can be juiced and frozen in ziplocs or ice cube trays. Bananas can be peeled, thrown in a ziploc and frozen. Other fruits can be treated similarly bagged and frozen as is [berries, etc.].
Save money and food!
Stairs and vacuuming- I have a pet model Shark that has a detachable canister ability to be carried in order to do stairs and other hard-to-get-at areas. Love it!

A water play table is the way to go instead of a sand box.

Pressure washer to clean the furniture. I even use it for my indoor rugs and upholstered chairs and benches. Works great when toddler draws with crayon on it too just use laundry detergent in it for the soap
I found that the stick vac fits very well on the steps and lighter than regular vac . To wash outdoor furnishings I use hose and scrub with brush. Do in morning and I live in Texas heat too and by end of day it’s dry.
I've heard amazing things about powerwashing outdoor cushions! Haven't done it personally but probably worth a try
Seconding power washing! I bought a power washer as my birthday present to myself last year and it works so well!!
In our house we dont have carpet anywhere so easier to clean because carpets get very dirty no matter how mucb ypu clean unless you use the water vacuums but for stairs we just brush all the dirt from the top to the bottom and them just hoover at the bottom, our house has tiles downstairs and upstairs is laminate
That’s seriously so much more sanitary that carpet!! We get ours professionally cleaned once a year, but even with that it’s fabric that gets walked on daily, it gets pretty gross after a while lol
You could totally have a quilt made out of their customized things!
I use the stick vacuum for the stairs. It gets the main portion of the risers and treads. Then use the crevice tool for corners
I feel like the most dangerous thing you can do is let everyone know you are going out of town by covering your outdoor furniture. It's like asking to be broken into. Now everyone knows the house is empty! Always leave the exterior exactly how it is when you are home.
I went through the same sand frustration till finally last week i moved the sandbox to the far side of the yard. They haven't played in it since. But if that's the price i pay for my house not feeling like a beach thats fine with me.
White furniture cushions? They can usually be scrubbed with dishwashing detergent and warm water, using a light scrubbing brush. Hose off, job done

ugh. I actually am not sure! My husband bought it on surplus clearance from one of his suppliers. :)

Try a tarp to cover the big patio chair
Start the kids picking up or helping pick up their own toys. There is no reason they can’t help-or take away the extra toys until they can so less to clean. You teach kids how to treat their things- and you. If they learn they can get away with being messy, inconsiderate of you etc, they will. They like to help, so it’s a great age to start. Set timers see who can put more away etc. make it fun.
For stairs. I use a handheld. I prob do a deep vac (cleaning sides and backs etc) about once a month (i live alone) and touch up weekly with my cordless dyson just doing the step part
We used to put the days clothes in a ziplock bag. So the kids would see Monday- grab it and it had everything needed for that day. Socks, undies, hairbows etc in the ziplock. Same Pjs would be worn all week with maybe 1 emergency pair.
I'm with you on the sandbox situation I can't stand it lol
If you live in TX, any other color furniture would be too hot.

Are the cushions removable? I’m also in Texas, and I remove the cushions and wash them in the washing machine. I keep the cushions inside during Winter, and (sadly) I still haven’t put them back on for Spring-Fall, but that’s my goal for this week. Thanks for the motivation!

....$138.. I died. Too high for my blood. You should’ve tried Macy’s Backstage or Macy’s last act clearance section. They usually put the formal and prom dresses on clearance.... I found a bunch for under $50 for a formal event that end up getting cancelled.

Hey, my question is, why do you pack 9 pairs of PJ, I dont get it. Because for a 4 day Trip I think every kid just needs one PJ?!😅
We generally eat breakfast in our pjs and play the first part of the day. my kids are so messy they get ruined by 10am and then I put them in their day clothes so they look clean at first when we go out haha

It’s my second ever cordless vacuum so I don’t have much to compare it to. I first got a cheaper off brand one from Amazon and it was trash. Fortunately I was able to return it then splurged on this. And it’s way better at least compared to the cheap Amazon one lol. My only complaint is I basically pull the max power trigger the whole time. I wish it was a button you could just push. But it works really well and I love that my hair doesn’t clog it up!!! My hair has ruined vacuums in the past 😅

Hi Mai, love your content and love the fact you keep your children off the internet. You wanted a hack for stairs, I very seldom vacuum my stairs, I use a stiff brush like a scrubbing brush or even a cat brush and just brush down the stairs from top to bottom, you will be surprised how much more dust comes out, then just vacuum at the bottom. Hope you and your family have a great trip ❤️

I suggest a little gravel square for your sand pit!! That's what my parents did when they got tired of it in the yard or patio 😂😂❤️ can't even tell there's a mountain of sand in the gravel!! Lol
You could keep the custom t-shirts get a t-shirt quilt or something like that made. Especially the ones with fond memories

My son is messy with his sand box too! I got an inexpensive yet still powerful battery operated leaf blower at home depot (Ryobi). It's awesome I can blow away the mess in 5 min or less.

I hear you. I tossed the sandbox when my kids were little - we went to the playground instead. We walked there - by the time we got home, the sand was fallen off of them. =) For the stairs - I don´t have carpet. My stairs are hardwood (like almost all stairs over here) - I use a fussy sock to clean it. I stick my hand in the sock and voilá - a reusable hand swiffer. I know that doesn´t help you at all. =) Love from Germany ♥

My only idea for covering your round swing would be a large round pool cover with a drawstring on it? Might be able to be a good make do? Also where did you get yours boys kitchen? Im in the process of finding one for my 2 1/2 year old as a potty training prize for when we get to that stage

It’s not actual rock on the patio it is stamped concrete cause it’s wayyyy cheaper :)

We are getting ready to leave for vaykay too so thank you for this cleaning inspo!!! Also cleaning the stairs is a pain but I use my shark vacuum that has a lift off option then I use the furniture cleaning attachment to sweep the stairs. Hope this helps!! 🤗

Try using a power washer to wash your patio cushions, just use lighter settings

Hi! Where do you get your boys pj’s? Are they form Walmart too? So cute!
I get some from Walmart, some target, some Costco :) if I can find a 2 pack for a good deal I get it!
You can get a large plastic tarp from Home Depot or Lowes and drape it over the large egg chair. They come in various sizes and thicknesses, so you can pick whatever would work best for you. You will find them in the paint section. They are normally used to cover floors and furniture during painting and remodeling. Hope this helps.

And zip ties to help keep it around the chair, get a tarp that has the holes around the edges. Much cheaper/easier than custom covers.
