@@4neo4 thanks man! I’m glad you liked it. I will be posting another similar one here soon, also playing to this backing track. It’s a pretty elaborate one. Thanks again
When slash is running up and down scales he often will roll his ring finger across the strings which ACDC Angus Young does these "rolling finger technique" licks. The 80's Star licks VHS video shows this and also shows how Slash uses "finger swapping" on the same guitar string he will uses his index, middle, ring going UP ascending the notes but finder swapping going DOWN descending the notes on the same string uses Pinky, Middle, Index. If you watch the 80's Star licks VHS video look for the Finger Swapping Technique because you want to get that "slippery and Sleazy effect". I see you doing the Slash Finger Swapping Technique on the Same String in this new video you just made today.
@@augustocarvalho7357 wow, that’s high praise my friend! I appreciate it and am glad you like the lesson. And yea, I try to take my time and go slow so more people can understand it more easily. Thanks again 🎸👍🏼
@@tommygunfullthrottle8105 well, to be honest this was first attempt using the most basic function of video editing ha. I was able to record the first “performance” aspect of the lick in a separate video and then attache it to the lesson part. That’s progress for me ha. All my other videos are one take which is kind of exhausting to try and keep up with everything in real time. But I’ll get better with more practice
@@1981SG awesome man, glad to hear. I am planning on doing 3 or 4 more like this where I show different licks 2 phrases to this particular backing track. I have already come up with a few. Some more melodic and a couple that are a bit more noodling ha. Thanks again
@ thanks man, I appreciate the nice feedback. Just checked out your channel. Really great music. I subscribed. I’ll take a proper listen asap. Take care 🎸👍🏼
@@srevedeel1 yea, it’s really kind of box 3 minor pentatonic but I’m targeting the major notes in that area. It’s a very classic blues progression, that is to use box 1 2 and 3 in this manner. I used to be into SRV and those 3 boxes get a lot of use. Sorry, im not the most knowledgeable about the theory part. I have kind of just memorized the scale shapes and can kind organize my brain around a very minor pentatonic framework.
Best lesson I’ve had in a long time
