For my Theros Adventures, Orcs are the followers of Mogis, God of Slaughter.
They live in the badlands Phoberos with the Minotaurs and work with them on their quest to aid Mogis in battling his brother.
I like the true orc, it stems from my love of Warcraft. Though I think they should have brutal critical.
Oh, I would fight 500 elves and I would fight 500 more just to be the Orc who fought a thousand elves for Gruumsh!
You sir have just made a new friend 😂🤣😂
Their evolution into being big, green Klingons is better in every way. Whether they’re enemies or allies, orcs have gotten cooler and they’re a good thing for games.
I really hope to see more and more of them as enemies and party members there dope
Regarding an early point, with the green-skinned humanoids that are bigger and stronger than a human, warcraft wasn't the progenitor of that type of orc, though it certainly helped boost the popularity. Warhammer was actually the progenitor of the green skinned orc, with the Warcraft (and Starcraft) series being Warhammer games that were hastily reskinned into their own setting when the deal between blizzard and GW fell through.
And because Warcraft was the big video game series with green orcs, everyone attributes green orcs to Warcraft.
Just a minor correction
I honestly didn’t know that. I don’t really know anything about warhammer except there orcs make things magically happen with there sheer power of belief. Which is so crazy and so awesome.
I didn’t even know StarCraft was supposed to be a Warhammer game.
@@TheSinisterheroes the 40k orks have their psychic gestalt field, but the fantasy orks are more traditional in how they're portrayed. They're marauders who thing might makes right and that the biggest and strongest should be in charge. And if I recall, they also have a strong rivalry with the dwarfs of the fantasy world, which is an early example of orcs and dwarfs having an almost perpetual hatred for each other
As tempting as it is to use the more powerful race options, it’s fun to make use of the lesser used options.
With the XGE point allocation options, every race can be used to create some cool character concepts.
Yes and plus it gets tiring seeing the same things every single game
I love the lore of the orc race when you consider their creation origins and i honestly prefer the DND 5th edition version of the orc over the pig face version of the orc but I could understand it if someone prefers the pig faced version and the rivalry of correlin and grumsh i find so fascinating i took consideration on how scourge bearthunder my first character ever a half orc barbarian feels about grumsh and while it never came into play in the campaign it was something that i had to consider just incase
I am with it. When I design my characters I go pretty indepth with a few things. One of my major parts is how these characters see there relationships with there deities. In D&D the gods are tangible there are sometimes speaking directly to a character or npc. So there relation ship to there gods dictates how they would perceive other gods. So I think it’s pretty important of a thing to have an understanding of.
@@TheSinisterheroes well scourge didn't worship grumsh he actually despised him scourge's deity that he chose to worship was Heracles/Hercules depending on how you want to call the Greek deity
That information to me makes a difference. It shows that scourge was different than other orcs. Scourge had something the others didn’t that made him capable of seeing the world differently
3:50 Volo's Guide Kobolds used to have -2 to Strength.
I forgot about that! Your right. It was only those two though that had negatives. Horrible lol my poor kobolds
@@TheSinisterheroes Honestly, I think it's part of what made them fun. Rogues, Bards, Rangers, and Fighters were still perfectly viable with a decent Dex-based build.
Heck yeah orcs!
Another good video dude. Keep it up
Thank you brother
