So if you've seen an uptick of views on this video it literally has to be from me. I have been watching this obsessively like 2-3 times a day. It is just so damn good it's practically memorizing. Kim has always had such a strong stage performance but not over performing her mates- she genuinely just frickin loves making music. Also I am a fellow Dayton Ohioan! I love these guys so much.
@@alisonmenzies9512 Unfortunately no 😭 I have photography jobs sometimes I’m Huber heights where they’re from but I live in Columbus so I don’t really spend much time in that area. But Kim owns a house there apparently and I’ve heard of people just seeing them randomly play at local places, I would actually die lmao. I saw them play in September and it was the best show ever.
I was 9 months old and several hundred kilometers northwest from here when this show took place. I wish I was my age now seeing this show live for the very first time in 1995. What a different time. Thanks for the upload. :) Pacer is my fave album. ❤
Unfortunately here is when Kim was in the throws of her addiction. Josephine the breeders bassist refused to be a part of this project due to Kim's addictions getting worse.
Saw them back then in Copenhagen. Brainiac as warm up. Enjoyed it to the fullest, but it took me quite a few years for me to realize just how epic that evening really was.
If there's one thing I love it's Kim Deal and The Amps, and Kim Deal and The Breeders, and Kim Deal and Pixies...okay maybe that's three, but actually it's only just one. Glad her music is in my lifetime. Makes it all worthwhile.
I saw them in Milwaukee right before this concert. They played with elastica and sonic youth. In the smaller venue below that night was ever clear , letters to Cleo and no doubt.
I love this band and it was so great seeing these songs played live after listening to the album for years and years, thank you so much for sharing this here.
Well shit, I was just trying to finish up my work day but then Kim's voice came in on the chorus of "Breaking the Split Screen Barrier" and I ascended to heaven, so there goes that plan
She’s a girl is one of the best songs she’s ever written. It is beautiful and somber at the same time. Actually, Kim never write any half hearted fillers.
good thing she started her own band, never would have heard her own songs with the Pixies. her songs have great 'feeling' , many gems in the Amps album
OH HELL YEAH!!! I was there, great show, Blinding 10 songs in 30 minutes. Opened for Sonic Youth who played the most boring show I had ever seen them play. They were f-ing quiet! Can you even imagine? Also this was at the height of their grunge adjacent fame and all the kids who showed up didn't know that you slammed at a Sonic Youth show. So they all just stood there holding their drinks. This was when I knew rock was forever changed. After this I basically only saw GbV live so I could delude myself that rock wasn't dead.
Yeah the f'n Amps! Saw them at the Troubadour in La in '96.....sooooo good!! Drew Barrymore was there with that guy from Hole.....but still had a blast ha!
1992 : I was in a music festival where the Breeders performed. It was during the height of their Last Splash release. It was summertime. I was front of stage. Kim Deal was standing just 6 feet away from me on stage, wearing shorts, and sweating. I was 19 years old. She looked at me as if I was an annoying tit. I love you Kim Deal.

I saw Tammy & the Amps open for GBV at Stache's in June '95. It doesn't get more Ohio than that. It was one of the best shows ever.
the 1 album they made together is gold
love kim
The entire album is a freaking mic drop. So good.
I think I've bought Pacer 5 times in my life. Can never go without it.

I AGREE 100% KIM DEAL AMAZING MUSICIAN AND HUMAN BEING 🔥🎸🔥💃🏻🔥🌅✊🏽🔥🎤🔥
They have always been an inspiration and the band that to me summed up the '90s. My band started covering "Braggin party" right after we saw them
That's my favorite song. Any video/recordings of the cover?
@@buh2001j I'll see if I can dig one up. I wouldn't mine hearing it myself

@@riotmama8422 oh I didn’t get to see them play live, I wish, what I meant was seeing them play live in this video on RUclips.
Never seen this, great recording
Perfect set list!!

She's a girl is one of my favourites songs among all songs kim ever was involved or wrote. It's gold.

THIS RULES
Absolutely a matter of debate (and an interesting and exciting one at that), but is Kim Deal the most underappreciated rocker of all time?
