I lost both parents this year within 2 months of each other so I've been in such a fog that I didn't even know The Breeders were touring. Watching this video and seeing Kim smiling and having such a good time made me smile for the 1st time in a long time. Thank you so much for posting this full concert.

I have always loved Jim's drumming. He injects these bite-sized chunks of Keith Moon that are so tasty and forceful yet never overtake the song. He was great in GBV as well. Just a really underrated player with a unique style.
I agree he's got good swing and his fills are good.He's one of my fav GBV drummers as well. Check out the vid of them playing teenage fbi on a british tv show, good shyt

The breeders is one of two bands that effortlessly assimilate the transatlantic and European influence. Needless to say, the other one is the Velvet Underground. Most Americans don’t seem to notice that.
I bring this up in debates about important bands and no one seems to acknowledge this bands impact. I’m American so that’s probably why

1994. I had no money and my only motivation was a Last Splash tape I'd play every single day while I walked 3 miles to college. Hope they come back to Europe soon so I can finally get to see them. Breeders forever!

Memory. Was growing herb and clones for the summer season in early April, 1994 way north of Toronto near Georgian Bay. Winter snow still piled high. Chopping wood ferociously for our wood stove while cranking out the Breeders first album on a CD with the BFR connected outside to the driveway of the home. Enjoying it immensely. Go inside to take a rest and get high on herb and a snoot of smack. Waltzed down the road to get the Toronto Sun newspaper from the box and there on the front page was a huge color picture of Kurt Cobain. News of his suicide. Brutal! Glad Nirvana and this great band were friends. Tough few days up there dealing with that, but had lots of stuff to listen to and get high to.

Breeders and summer of Cannonball release was a magical time in my life...how I wish I could go back and do it again. Life is fleeting something sadly we all don't truly get until its too late but the upside if there is one to what I am sadly lacking the words for is....aw nevermind. Love is the only answer.
