"You are a human being not a human doing" damn that's a really good way to put that! Looking forwards to another year learning from and being inspired by this channel!
Honestly the tip about appreciating how far you’ve come and being proud of yourself is really important. In 39 days I’ve written 35309 words and I had to tell myself it’s not bad to be proud of that fact. Whoever needs to reads this needs to know that you’re doing a great job, it’s okay to take a break and I bet your work is amazing!
My novel has been in the works for like... 13 years now. Yes, 13 years. 13 years spent worldbuilding and trying to figure out what my plot is. In the past two years I have found both your channel and Jed Herne's channel and Brandon McNulty. A combination of all these channels and a couple others I truly think has helped steer me towards finally starting my novel. It's been a REALLY slow start, and I only have 1.5 chapters written, but it's a hell of a lot better than having nothing for over a decade. I'm working out the kinks little by little. Thanks for all the videos you make.
My core writing goal is to completely finish my book and get it published, all by December 31st this year. I have been working on my book for almost two years now, i am currently working on the second draft. The main plot twist is that we learn the main protagonist, a teen princess in a grimdark fantasy setting, is the reincarnation of an evil black dragon that lived a millennia prior, who wiped out wn entire kingdom in a single night. Her internal conflict is the conscious desire to be virtuous and help people, while fighting against her intatly selfish motivations and her inclination towards darker impulses, influenced by her past life, while having no memories of said past life.
Oh wow that's interesting! Can't wait to read this book when published. My novel is set in a high, steampunk, dark fantasy setting. It tackles a lot of dark themes and this is the synopsis: Set in a fictional analogue and alternate universe of the German Empire in 1890 called Archenland, Driapians live among the human population in secrecy to evade the authorities of ADCOA (Anti-Driapian Commission of Archenland), a federal agency tasked with investigating and solving Driapian-related crimes as well as killing them. Ariesia Amara Durchdenwald is a 16 year old Duchess and half-Driapian (a person born from one human and one Driapian parent) living in Archenland. After her parents are wrongfully murdered by people from ADCOA, she vows to get revenge and put an end to the agency's existence for good. One day during a mission, under the alias “Bellina”, she meets a man named Elias Abelard Heisenberg, a nobleman originally from the Kingdom of Fulissen, a state in Archenland, who moved to Archen City with his family when he was 8. Things are going well between the two until Ariesia finds out that Elias works for ADCOA and is tasked with a mission to kill her in order to gain his family's approval and officially become the heir to the agency. Unbeknownst to Elias, the girl he’s fallen in love with is the same one who he must kill to earn his title.
@blossxmaoooh I’d also love to read this one. I just started my first fantasy project (script, not novel) and have loved exploring all the dark topics and conflict
@@Annabel-ck9lh Yeah! I'm currently working on the first chapter and I'm gonna submit it to Ringling College of Art + Design's creative writing contest. I hope that I can publish it someday :D
@blossxma I hope you publish it too! And submitting anything to a school like ringling is an accomplishment in itself. I knew someone who went there and it seems to have (and have made) lots of great artists
It is such a coincidence that this video popped up while I was rewriting my first draft! Happy New Year to everyone reading this! I hope you all achieve the goals you've set for yourself!
I love these prompts! Thank you!! And my goal for 2025 is a little insane. I didn't have a word count goal in mind for last year, and I reached 788,040 words (between planning, novel drafting and fanfiction). This year? I'm aiming for the crazy million wordy. Shoot for the moon and land among stars? lol. I did manage to finish the rough drafts of 4 books this year (all part of the same series) and would like to finish at least 4 more drafts this year! There are 13 books in the series so it'll take time and I'm ready to get at it! :D (also, I may be drafting to put off thinking about publishing for now...)
For me the best book in 2024 was keezano’s Your Life Your Game📕It beautifully shows how connecting with God and focusing on your family can lead to spiritual growth, stronger relationships, and success in both your personal and professional life. This book truly changed my life…a must-read. God bless!💟🙏🏼
I found your videos at a really rough time in my life, but one of the guiding lights for me was that I knew that I wanted to write. That year that I discovered your channel was when I started learning how to make time and plans for my writing life and you truly motivated me, encouraged me, and taught me how to do just that. I am looking forward to taking that passion and discipline back into my writing in 2025 so this video is absolutely perfect! Thank you Abbie, you have no idea how much your content has been there for me even beyond writing.
At the end of 2024, I started writing my first fantasy novel, this is actually my first attempt at writing and I can't describe how much satisfaction it gives me. If it weren't for writers like you, I'd still be standing there wondering how to even start writing. So i want to thank you and others for all your work.
Hi Abbie! I've been in a spot of a fugue state. I recently decided despite the fact that it is going to be an enormous tax on me both physically and psychically, I have curated a pair project-twins. I'm going to dive into reconciling my talents for fiction, fantasy or otherwise, with the flaws that hamper my attempts to work with nonfictional narratives. I'm not going to hound you over questions large and small. I would love to join you underneath your Learning Tree; maybe I could show you some new ways to pick some fruit up because I myself have been in training to "pick" fruit to in fresh melon bowls at the grocery store I work in. All selections count, only a true few matter. The trick is to decide where to send your energy
My top goal is to make my writing a priority. I had a lot of time off work as I was recovering from surgery, forgot how much I love writing. I published 3 children’s books and nearly finished my novel. Now just need to keep the momentum going in 2025 when I return to work
My top writing goal - I want to finish a complete first draft. I've never completed one because I get so focused on going backwards or I just lose momentum. I want to finish this year. I'm going to finish this year.
Happy New Years!! 2025 already here. Thank You Abbie for all the advice and encouragement. I finished my sequel, then finished my 2nd draft of my first book before the end of the Year. My mother in law is a retired teacher with an English Minor. She's helping me edit. Now I need an Artist, and this book is ready for Publishing.
I have enjoyed watching your videos on RUclips and have learned a great deal about the mechanics of writing. Of the hundreds of RUclips videos on writing, yours are at the top of the list. I have been very impressed. Your energy is amazing and your grasp of the subject gives you credibility. I am 75 and wishfully hope to get published before I die and with your guidance, I will. I owned and operated a gymnastics academy for years and I couldn’t even do a cartwheel, but I led my competitive gymnastic team to a state championship three years in a row. I mention this because some of the reviews of your book on Amazon said the same thing, that your videos were outstanding, but your book was lacking. I didn’t buy a copy because I want to keep watching and learning about writing because I am not much into romantic novels. Keep up the great RUclips videos. They are the best! Remember, people such as Vince Lombardy never played the sport professionally, yet he coached a professional football team to its zenith and he is considered America’s greatest football coach.
I totally understand the books that you end up writing when you least expect it! It's refreshing to your other writing to take a break and try something else to renew that joy you found with your original project! Me and my cousin started writing a book together and it was the best thing to get me excited about writing the original book I am now! I've only been a writer for the past 7 months, and it's been a fun and exciting journey! My goals this year is to finish my rough draft of my book in the next for months! I'm already halfway done, and I've seen I can do a lot more than what I thought I could before, especially when I stay focused and strive hard to make it happen! I can't wait to see what will happen this year with my writing and how I'll grow as a writer!
thanks for the video! I finished the rough draft of my sci-fi novel roughly 3 years ago but haven't made much progress on editing until just a few months ago and hope to finish editing + publish it this year! Good luck to all the other writers! 🌟
January will be devoted to developing a middle grade story about a young girl who is fighting to have bike lanes installed when a road is rebuilt. A lot of the book will be playing games with her friends, and the games will lead to the attempts to fight city hall. As you can see, I currently have a concept, but no clear idea of what the story is about.
Wellzz i love your tips and they helped me much. I dont really plan on publishing the book im writing, im not even sure I'll give someone else to read it. I'm writing most to show myself that i can. And i came very close to givving up, but hearing your videos gave me a second wind. And now im feeling way better. So i guess what im saying is "Thank you very much". Keep up, your videos are more than awesome. They're hope ♡
No book this year. I’m going to actually finish my game though so I’m going to have to write quite a bit for the dialogue, lore, and general tips/instructions, so I know this will all be relevant!
I love seeing people who write more than novels in these comments. It’s amazing how we can all take the same advice but have our own niches. Writing a game is incredibly cool and I wish you luck!
Im finally embarking on my first draft of book 1 for a 4 part series I have been brainstorming and outlining for 2 years now! Not gonna lie, im terrified but also absolutely excited to jump in and actually have this world and these characters I love so much come to life ❤
This video was exactly what I needed and more! I was already planning to finish my draft this year, but this made it feel more tangible than just a "someday this year." Thank you so much for everything that you do!
It's New Year and I searched for your video for 2025 🎉 2024 was my breakthrough to overcome my weaknesses as a writer. And I'm excited to start 2025 with another story ❤ thank you Abbieee for inspiring meee 💝
Hello! I actually have 2 writing goals in mind for this year. The first one is that I want to learn and practice more about writing. I've been writing ever since middle school, but my process to how I write my stories and such are not that great. For one thing I wrote first and planned later if u get what I mean. Even in highschool when I started publishing my works on wattpad it's the same. I tried looking up tutorials and websites of different ways to help me improve, especially with creating characters, however, it instead made me so overwhelmed to the point where even tho I want to continue I get anxiety. I've been watching ur videos back in 2022 but stop due to personal stuff but I loves every video I saw. It finally felt like this is the kind of teaching I needed. Which is why I'm back here and want to learn more. My second, and to me most important, goal is to write AND FINISH a story. Doesn't matter if it's a short or long story. I'm determined to make this goal happen. But I do have a question for you if your have the chance. Where do I begin? I want to do this right but I'm a little lost on where to begin my learning journey. Can you please help me? I would greatly appreciate it very much 🙏
Thankyou, Abbie. I've been struggling a lot with my writing and getting started with my books. I think it's a bit intimidating for me. I dont have supporters in my life so my self confidence struggles. I want this year to be my year. With you and Kate by my side I think I can do this. I can't afford the extra things, sadly, but I can be here on RUclips.
Last year I finally finished my overview and filled out the middle of the book. This was a huge step for me because no matter how much I worked on the beginning and end, I couldn't figure out the middle. My goal this year is to get the first draft done. Even if it is very very rough. I know that for these first three months I'm going to be in college so I probably won't be able to do a whole lot. I'll make an action plan next week once I see what my workload going to look like. Thanks Abbie, I needed this video.😊 I'm working on my book right now.
😊 Happy New Year Abbie! My goal for this year is to transform a screen play for lack of a better term into a novel. Times two of the series, parts one and two. Plus re-writing another story that got lost in cyber space 😮 26 chapters! I had hard copy of it 😅.
Happy new year Miss Abbie ❤ You have helped me a lot ,taught me how to reflect and give a certified base for certain things. I am a High school student and I just wanted to thank you , I was quite fortunate to find you ✨☺️. I’ll probably always look up to you.💓
Love this!! Happy New Year Abbie! When plotting my goals for 2025, I am not sure I have a year end goal, but I do have a quarterly goal to write 50,000 words of my draft zero for my WIP! I spent the majority of 2024 brainstorming, bringing a google doc to life with 70+ pages of material and exploration. I sat down this afternoon and wrote the first 1,200 words with one of your ambient writing sessions in the background 😊I've learned my process is absolutely slow and steady. I had a major career change toward the end of 2024 which ultimately leaves me with a lot more time to dedicate to my creativity this year! Thank you for your helpful content 💟
Can I just say...THANK YOU! I found your videos, and by proxy, Kate's videos, right after I started writing again in 2024. You and Kate are the reason I felt like I could actually reach my writing goals. And because of your heartfelt advice I was able to finish an entire maniscript! You are such an awesome person. Thanks for all your tips. You and Kate are the only youtubers I watch now.❤
i love your vids so much they have helped the writing process go so much smoother, but currently i'm struggling to grasp the concept of first person pov, coming from writing in the third for YEARS, help!
I have been working on a Star Trek fan fiction project. The rough draft is mostly finished, so I plan to finish it up and streamline it. I also have an idea for a follow-up project featuring a couple of the characters from the existing story. This has been sitting unfinished for a long time, and these videos have inspired me to pull it off the shelf and continue to work on it!
Happy New Year Abbie, in the Karate School I trained at the Sensei always told us "Goals you set are goals you get". I made a resolution to let nothing stop me, to break the chains.
I clicked on that so damn fast because I want to attend the summit. Anyway, my MAJOR goal this year is to finish my Cheap series. It’s been dangling over my head like a noose for far too long. I’m hopefully publishing the 5th book this weekend. And then onto the 6th, and I’m calling it finished. I’ve got a new trilogy I’m chomping at the bit to work on and I can’t work on it while the other series is taunting me. 🤣
Happy New Year, Abbie. 🎊🎉 Last year was good, I hope for 2025 to be even better! This method is very effective, I used it in 2024 and aced my goals! I'll be doing same this year.
Last year I was literally building an entire story/book in my head and this year when I finally want to start writing it down it feels like I'm on the 3rd book and forgot what I read abt because I'm so fixated at moving forward and creating the story further I'm unable to take a step back and start from the beginning!! 😭
I almost completed my first draft of a novel I have "brainstormed" for years I have to finish the final showdown and write a brief epilogue. Because the story is primarily a mystery thriller so I first wrote an extremely detailed outline that included 75% of the dialogue to get the clues and foreshadowing right so this is almost like a second draft, I'll probably do some outlining for something else (get my mind out of 1900's Europe and into the time of the crusade for a while) then I hope to get a final draft and start editing
My goal is to write just 10 pages per month. Not a very big goal, but the idea is that I get ten minimum and then hopefully feel motivated to do more as I please throughout the month. I just find that when I set my goals super high I feel far too pressured to even begin, so I’m starting really small. Although, 10 pages a month is still 120 pages a year (not including any extra writing I do,) and in a perfect world I’ll be done my book by the end of 2026, so that’s awesome! It’s big for me!
That's probably a good idea. A year ago, I had the goal of writing five pages every week. I think Ibgave up on that goal within the first week, writing zero pages. When June came around, I decided to get serious and try to write every day, even if it was just ten minutes. (I made a spreadsheet to keep track of my word count and time spent.) I wrote 31 pages in 27 days. Then burnout hit me HARD. I've barely worked on that story at all in the six months since. (Just a bit of brainstorming.) I want to do a major re-write of the first chapter, but I'm procrastinating. ... Still in burnout mode.
my writing goal this year is to write, finish, and defend my thesis. been in an MFA program since January 2021 and I'm ready to finish it. but i have allowed myself to become really distracted by everything else. it will get done though.
My goal is to hopefully be published in the fall! I have been working on my historical-fiction novel for two years now. Currently working on my final draft. It’s definitely been a journey, but a good one!
My main writing goal this year is to get at least half of my first Christian novel written! (I have alot going on in my life from January into the Summer, but I hope to at least get half of it done. God willing!)
I have a distinct series I want to get done and as I go with planning I get 'butterflies of creativity' with spinoffs and I chase those. Then they go into a ditch I get writers block lol
Leaving a comment to remind myself of my goals: I want to complete my first draft. This will be my first book, but I want to finish even if it turns out like a complete piece of 💩‐ I'll get it done! The real work begins with the editing process, but I'll get to that later 😅
For thus year I want to finish editing my book, seek copyright permission and either seek out a publisher or maybe dive into the qirkd of self publishing. I also plan to take up writing for at least 15 minutes every morning again, like I did when I was writing my book. I had so much fun initially that when I finished I didn't want the story to end. So I stated writing a second and kept going until I hit a huge writers block and couldn't figure out how to proceed. I made notes, I wrote ahead but still couldn't get through the block. It's sat for a couple years unfinished, even though I was so close to the end. I was about to have the protagonists figure out what really made them happy. So this year I plan to work on the too.
When I saw this, I just had to click to comment my goal/novel idea (to show it as recently as possible!) The novel idea alone, as I didn't know about NaNo until after I first had the idea, has been floating around in my head for 5 years now! My goal is to write (probably not publish, though- want it to be revised before I do) the first draft of my current novel plan in November, and yes, do this for NaNo! (still need to outline the characters and the plot- I know, it's character-driven!) My idea was this: a dual-POV (POV characters: student and teacher) urban contemporary fantasy adventure set 9 years ago. (Would be 10 years at the time of NaNo) Set in an alternate-universe 2015 in my hometown, the student (currently 6th-grade) has been, might I say, obsessed with the series "Mystwick School of Musicraft" (like yours truly!) since the beginning, to the point where if it's real he wants to apply: according to the series, school there starts in 7th grade. In this universe, the MC of "Mystwick" actually wrote the series- and spoiler alert, she's the equivalent of the teacher (POV character 2)! The student in question doesn't know they're the same initially (finding out is probably going to be the midpoint plot twist), but one day during class she accidentally references her school days precisely enough that the student realizes, "Mystwick's all real? Sign me up then!" At first the teacher can't believe he's serious when he says that out loud, but at the next class he confirms that he was serious! But he already had a vague idea of this being true because something (I haven't decided what yet) tells him she made the wish of something like "I wish there could be someone from here who goes to my school" and gets some clues to help understand what she means. Of course, he doesn't know what/where "my school" is. And yes: this is basically a "what if I were an in-universe Mystwick character" book with a twist (taken from the show Ruby And the Well- the my-equivalent student character has the same job as her)
My goal is finishing my draft or maybe even get into editing, its called Suarcoated but i might change it later, i do really like the name as it fits though
My goal is to finish the first draft of my science fiction novel by the end of the year, which should be very doable. I figure that if I write just 1600 words per week, I will achieve this goal. I wrote 1,100 words _today._
I just started watching your channel this morning and I am greatly imressed. I must admit the at first I was sceptical, as I have watched a number of youtubers that professed to be authors or writing gurus that really disappointed me. I am an ameture author currently working on my first full legth novel. I have been writing stories and poems for most of my life, yet I've never had the confidence to try and get anything published. I believe it is largely due to the fact that when I would present my writings to readers or writing professors I would recieve praise, but on the four occaisions that I asked an established author to look over the sme work they were either dismissive or critical. I am really wanting the opinion of someone who has made a career of writing fiction. I know that, in your videos, you have invited people to share their work with you. I dont know if that invitation still stands, but if so, I would like your thoughts on the first three chapters on a story ive been working on for several years. To me it feels odd to ask this of you, but I want to take the risk finally. I want to get into this world of story telling.
One of my goals for new years this year when it comes to writing, will have to go towards learning rather on properly learning how to use the 3 different there, their,, and they'res correctly were I am not confused with any of them for once and for all. They always confuse me.
Hi Abbie! I absolutely love your videos. I really struggle with motivation and staying focused while writing. Do you have any tips for that? I finished my book a few months ago, but after working on other projects, I noticed my writing style had changed quite a bit. Now I’m rewriting it, but while I was relatively motivated the first time around, I can’t seem to get the work done this time.
Hey Abbie! I really hope you read this..!❤❤ I love your work and I love your help thank you so much, I’m 15 and I dream of publishing my novel, my family doesn’t support the idea, I’ve written over 10 novels never published any and over 100 short stories
I'm pregnant and due January 17th. So my writing goals will have to be put on hold for a couple months. But I still want to make some! They will just be way less ambitious than last year lol
lol I was a full time artist and I took up writing because I was pregnant! Really it’s when they are 2-3 that you really have to find the time because naps become fewer and there’s less “me” time. Good luck! I hope all goes well with you and baby!

Clicked faster than you could say internal conflict
Hahahaha, same
Oooh, that's hella fast!
"Internal Conflict" by Joel Nielsen is playing...
Ultimate Goal: Retire and write full time. Doubt I can make that happen in 2025 alone, but... progress is progress...
ABBIE IS ALWAYS HERE WHEN WE NEED HER!! 😭😭
I hope to write my novel this year! If nothing else, I just want to FINISH something, and I'm so excited to have started this journey
It tackles a lot of dark themes and this is the synopsis:
Set in a fictional analogue and alternate universe of the German Empire in 1890 called Archenland, Driapians live among the human population in secrecy to evade the authorities of ADCOA (Anti-Driapian Commission of Archenland), a federal agency tasked with investigating and solving Driapian-related crimes as well as killing them.
This sounds like a great book! I hope it gets picked up in 2025
@blossxmaoooh I’d also love to read this one.
Last year, I focused on writing my screenplays. 2025, I'm dedicating it to my fantasy book.
:D (also, I may be drafting to put off thinking about publishing for now...)
just like.. wow. thats so so incredible and ik I don't know you but I am so so proud of you, and I hope you achieve your goal!
@@amyzlife Thank you T_T
Looking forwards to another year learning and becoming a writer!
I’m going to this year, no more fears of perfection.
😢exactly
At the end of 2024, I started writing my first fantasy novel, this is actually my first attempt at writing and I can't describe how much satisfaction it gives me. If it weren't for writers like you, I'd still be standing there wondering how to even start writing. So i want to thank you and others for all your work.
1:39 I made last year :one short story, 95 pages of a rough draft,, 20 pages of a scrapped good copy, 31 pages of a good copy. Also read 46 books!
That’s my plan too 😊 Good Luck!
Happy New Years!! 2025 already here. Thank You Abbie for all the advice and encouragement.
I finished my sequel, then finished my 2nd draft of my first book before the end of the Year. My mother in law is a retired teacher with an English Minor. She's helping me edit. Now I need an Artist, and this book is ready for Publishing.
last year i wrote 148,000 words 🎉 this year will be about draft 3 and finally sending my two books to publishers - reflecting is such a good tip.
Counting on you Abbie to be part of my story ,calling all writers
I NEEDED THIS VIDEO SO MUCH!!!!!!! I finally have the system I need to write my novel and I plan to have my first draft done in March!!!!!!!
Happy New Year Abbie.
Looking forward to the new year and writing with Abbie.
All the best to you and yours.

AHHHH I’m so excited to watch this!!! I saw the notification last night but saved it for when I really have the time to enjoy it :D❤
thanks for the video!
Ahhhhh the mighty concept of forging ahead is a story in itself
@@Annabel-ck9lh I really appreciate that and the encouragement! Best of luck this year as well!

Your video is packed with great tips for making 2025 a successful writing year! Thank you for sharing your wisdom, Abbie! 💖
Oh my goal I'm just starting I could never be more proud. I found my strength in my writing ❤😊
This year I plan to finish writing a WIP that I've been working on since 2016. I also plan to edit a book that I finished last year.
Im finally embarking on my first draft of book 1 for a 4 part series I have been brainstorming and outlining for 2 years now! Not gonna lie, im terrified but also absolutely excited to jump in and actually have this world and these characters I love so much come to life ❤
I finally finished book ones outline right before christmas which I reworked and redid sooo many times
I will come back here once I finished my first book. Wish me luck, I'm gonna speed run it.
Good luck!

And im part of your community officially. I want to write my own webnovel this year😊
My top writing goals are to write my first novel and start a blog
😊 Happy New Year Abbie! My goal for this year is to transform a screen play for lack of a better term into a novel. Times two of the series, parts one and two. Plus re-writing another story that got lost in cyber space 😮 26 chapters! I had hard copy of it 😅.
You have been so motivational as I am preparing to finalize and publish Part 1 of my novel this year. God Bless!
Main writng goal: getting my current novel ready. I just finished the revising phase.
Looking forward to all your upcoming work.
My goal for 2025 is get the book off the back burner, or get a job. I can't survive much longer this way.
This video was awesone,❤❤ thanks Abbie!🎉
Hope New Year 🎆 I hope you are having a great time right now ^^
I have been working on a Star Trek fan fiction project. The rough draft is mostly finished, so I plan to finish it up and streamline it. I also have an idea for a follow-up project featuring a couple of the characters from the existing story. This has been sitting unfinished for a long time, and these videos have inspired me to pull it off the shelf and continue to work on it!
As a Trek fan disappointed with much of the current official Trek I encourage you, what era did you choose?
Happy New Year Abbie, in the Karate School I trained at the Sensei always told us "Goals you set are goals you get". I made a resolution to let nothing stop me, to break the chains.
I am 13 years old and i wanted to start writing i
was very comfused but your videos helped me a lot ❤
I clicked on that so damn fast because I want to attend the summit. Anyway, my MAJOR goal this year is to finish my Cheap series. It’s been dangling over my head like a noose for far too long. I’m hopefully publishing the 5th book this weekend. And then onto the 6th, and I’m calling it finished. I’ve got a new trilogy I’m chomping at the bit to work on and I can’t work on it while the other series is taunting me. 🤣
Happy New Year, Abbie. 🎊🎉
Last year was good, I hope for 2025 to be even better!
This method is very effective, I used it in 2024 and aced my goals! I'll be doing same this year.
Im late, but thank you Abbie for all you do to help us out.
Last year I was literally building an entire story/book in my head and this year when I finally want to start writing it down it feels like I'm on the 3rd book and forgot what I read abt because I'm so fixated at moving forward and creating the story further I'm unable to take a step back and start from the beginning!! 😭
Thanks for the video and thanks again for your Christmas music
My goal for this year (which I failed to do last year) is finish my first novel which has been 18 years in the making
Thank you Abbie!
I need to finish my short story, MUST
Getting published in 2024 was the highlight of the decade
I almost completed my first draft of a novel I have "brainstormed" for years I have to finish the final showdown and write a brief epilogue. Because the story is primarily a mystery thriller so I first wrote an extremely detailed outline that included 75% of the dialogue to get the clues and foreshadowing right so this is almost like a second draft, I'll probably do some outlining for something else (get my mind out of 1900's Europe and into the time of the crusade for a while) then I hope to get a final draft and start editing
My goal this year is to finish the rough draft of the first book in my series and start on the second.
I can only plan at most week by week. Sometimes I can only plan for the next day.
Wow, I really needed this. Thank you so much! Happy New Year!
To finally start writing my book
Happy New Years!! My main goal for this year is to finish draft 1 of my YA mystery novel. 😊❤️🎉📕✍️
Publish my first book! 2025!
thank you for this and happy new yearrrr ❤️
Thank you!
Leaving a comment to remind myself of my goals: I want to complete my first draft. This will be my first book, but I want to finish even if it turns out like a complete piece of 💩‐ I'll get it done! The real work begins with the editing process, but I'll get to that later 😅
3:14 or a potato with a smile face drawn on it 😂😂😂
Beautiful ❤
How dare life hide this from me for 10 minutes? Outrageous.
(still need to outline the characters and the plot- I know, it's character-driven!)
My idea was this: a dual-POV (POV characters: student and teacher) urban contemporary fantasy adventure set 9 years ago. (Would be 10 years at the time of NaNo)
Set in an alternate-universe 2015 in my hometown, the student (currently 6th-grade) has been, might I say, obsessed with the series "Mystwick School of Musicraft" (like yours truly!) since the beginning, to the point where if it's real he wants to apply: according to the series, school there starts in 7th grade.
Thank you!! I really need this lol
Happy New Year, Abbie🥳.
love abbie so much!! thnks for ur vids sm!
My goal is to finish the first draft of my science fiction novel by the end of the year, which should be very doable. I figure that if I write just 1600 words per week, I will achieve this goal. I wrote 1,100 words _today._
Yay! New video! :D
Definitely take care of yourself first. Congratulations on your little one ❤
lol I was a full time artist and I took up writing because I was pregnant! Really it’s when they are 2-3 that you really have to find the time because naps become fewer and there’s less “me” time. Good luck! I hope all goes well with you and baby!
