I was expecting it will use the head from the 9570 and the Epson p7570. The fact that they are placing a "low-level" head on it is surprising. If the price is correct it could be a pretty interesting device. They are charging charge $800 more than the p900 for a cutter it will be more difficult to justify for people with moderate volume. This is also an issue for printing houses that have many x570 series printers, the p5370 will make it difficult to have consistent color.

The P900 head is a really good head and works great. There is a lot more in the printer than just the P900 head and cutter.

There's been no real advancements in inkjet printing in years. Printing volume is dramatically down so Epson and others keep raising ink and paper prices to help make up the difference. I'm concerned about the future of high quality photo printing given the advances and omnipresence of screens.

they need to make it cheaper not more expensive for inks and paper. The reason I dont print more is because of price.

the p700 is 13 inch wide, the P5370 is 17 inch wide. The P900 is a great 17 inch width printer. The NEW P5370 would be a good investment if you make a lot of prints. There is a cutter and larger ink cartridges.
