Sir, thank you for this review. I must say this would not be my choice of vehicle because I’m not an SUV fan but I’ve always been intrigued by these cars and how much (financial) sense they made. This kind of impartial review is why I sub to your channel - I find your “straightforward” style of review quite refreshing in an era where we have to suffer countless “drive-by” B-roll inserts which Top Gear of the 1980s called and want back. I enjoy the fun and in-jokes elements of your channel (the Forbidden Fuel and climbing in the back of impractical cars to satisfy You Know Who) but I appreciate these honest and unbiased reviews of “sensible” cars very much as well.

I had been waiting for quite a while to review this car, and in the meantime, these have now slipped into Sensible Secondhand Reviews territory at the lower end (like this one). Actually a very significant car, as it popularised a whole new genre, although it was not the first Plug-In Hybrid on the market. There generally is not a lot of time to film these videos (and this was the case on this occasion too), so they end up being very basic.

I've just bought a 2014 model after exchanging my Volvo XC90 2004. I miss the space but the XC90 was becoming expensive to run and maintain. We just did nearly 700 miles between fill ups in the PHEV which is exactly why I wanted to try this car. Driving round town and short trips on mostly electric and only longer trips using the petrol engine. The car feels robust and reliable and is as far as I have been able to read up on it. Newer hybrids of course are even better but for around £10k I think it was worth it.

Included Air Freshener Incompetence and Four Colour Biro Appearance. What more could we want? These Mitsubishis, while rare over here, seem to have an army of loyal owners who will keep buying them so long as they can. Keep Calm and Carry On feeling the air suitably refreshed, sir!

Sadly, sir one of the last reviews of 2023 wasn't any better than the ones I did at the beginning of the year. These were a big deal over here for years, didn't realise they sold them in any quantities over in North America.

Considered a a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander as a decent replacement for my Audi A8 last summer. Sadly towing a caravan was high on the criteria so the model in question was the wrong one for this fine Channel Sir.
What I will say is that the PHEV is a very clever car and they look fantastic in white.
Thank you Sir, I really enjoyed this.

Thank you for your self-censorship, sir! The PHEV models do indeed have a slightly more limited towing capacity. The later versions do seem to be holding their value quite well.

Good Evening Sir, in the world of entertainment never work with children, animals or air fresheners 😊

Sir, the number of times I have had to battle with those air fresheners...

Thank you for this review Sir, do not really know much about this car so I appreciate this review. Is this model also shared with Citroen?

The previous Outlander was rebadged as the Citroen C-Crosser and Peugeot 4007 (they are both extremely rare), but this one was not, sir.
