    Thanks for all your CES coverage. As an old man and a noob at all this computer jargen you have helped me tremendously especially your first 5 things to do with a new build video. Completed my first 2 weeks ago and used that vid to get everything loaded

    Hello Paul, been watching your videos since around 2011 at first through Newegg. You have a great sense of humor and are very easy to listen to giving the most comprehensive descriptions of everything you review and then some, Thank you for being here and though it's been awhile congrats on the great new addition to your Family.
    And now, a word from our sponsor:
    This Phanteks Elite thing is crazy big, it makes my first kinda awesome build with an Enthoo Pro Tempered Glass look like a shoe box, I love it!!!
    If my wife wouldn't immediately notice the disapearance of her horses, cows and goats to enable the purchase of one and all of the insane water cooling, I'd more than likely and eventually be looking for an even larger Enthoo Pro SUPER Elite house size case to live in.
    Oh well, maybe one day I'll just make a highly modifiable wooden version...

    i was going to be building a computer coming in February around tax return time, but then i discovered this case and it changed my life. For $900 this case is a steal, fits perfectly into my personal 1300 dollar budget along with just about every other average pc consumer's budget, absolute god send. Originally i was going to be a fucking moron and buy a motherboard, an i5, and a 1070, but once i realized the error of my ways and bought this case and a single 1000 watt power supply, my direction in life reallly took a turn for the better. This case is fucking crazy, it washes your car, it does your laundry, the entire case is actually just a pc alone, no graphics card cpu or motherboard needed, it's also overclockable which is a god send, i can run literally any game on 144 fps ultra wide on my $3,500 dollar monitor (no review for that one currently, sorry.) overall this case is truly magnificent, unfortunately after purchasing i will not be paying rent this month, but it's big enough and has enough ventilation for me to live in anyways. Id highly recommend this product, 7.6/10

    That elite case is sa-weeet! $900 makes me cry, but it's so pretty. I also like that small prototype case. The aesthetics look great on that one and would be perfect for a living room HTPC/VR setup. I do love me some Phanteks

    What is the point in having the mini ITX system as well??

  • @CYellowan
    @CYellowan 8 лет назад +1

    900 split in 2 is still not enough for me to want a case as huge as that. It is however possible if the case was far more subtle, had the lesser core features, had space for maybe 1 giant 2X fan radiator thingy along with just making the entire case a bit more minimalistic. Then i could foresee the price reaching something that would at least be sensible for a Double PC case.

  • @Eshcole
    @Eshcole 8 лет назад

    You can get an amazing CaseLabs case for $500 and even that price is considered EXTREME overkill for any PC. That price would also include adding extra parts for increased radiator support depending on the case. Why in the world would I pay $400 more for the same radiator with the Phanteks unique design? Holy crap!

    why is everyone hating on the cases? Yeah 900 is a lot. but its one hell of a case. Look at some of the shit InWin has come out with. H-frame was 1200. You get what you pay for. Most people wont, because they are just average people. A true enthusiast will love it. If my budget allowed, Id get one just to have the opportunity to build in it. I think itd be a lot of fun, especially with the second m-itx in there too.
    Other than that one, I like the idea of that little prototype. It is very sleek, and "modern" i guess you could say. And no rgb (so far), I hate how everything is rgb these days. It takes away from some build i think. rant over..happy ces viewing everyone

    If it were more affordable, I'd go for it, or maybe if I already had all the spare parts needed for custom water cooling, but alas, I need to buy a bunch of fittings, tons of tubing (just so i could get the bends correct), and of course, the pump/reservoir combo (going for mid-tower custom water loop), and last but not least, the radiators. Either way I'm looking forward to building up this pc once I can afford all the parts required

    The elite is nice but 900 bucks is insane. Not sure who's going to take the plunge on that one. That said, the 217S is gorgeous and I want it on my desk. I've got an InWin 901 now which I adore for the same reason but I'd migrate into a 217S real quick assuming the price is right which worries me considering the Elite is 900 dollars. I'll keep my eye out though, the 217 stuff is beautiful.

    On a side note, those complaining about the price, this case isn't for you. The system alone, before cooling costs, is likely a $4,000+ system going into the thing. Then easily another $1,500+ on cooling. It's for a niche market, high end, high spending market.

I'm buying 6850k and a Rampage V ed 10 mext month. My water cooling loop is going to be upwards of 7-800$ Some people don't like their piece of **** case to be the cheapest part of their system.
