I bought an EU 2200i last year. I wish this unit was available at the time. The 2200 wasn't quite enough to meet my needs, and I will be selling it in favor of buying this one. I thought I would get a second 2200 watt generator but it makes more sense just to have the one. Thanks for the detailed review.

You can buy 2 EU2200i for around $2200. Add a second EU2200i for additional power. Two identical models can be paralleled with an optional cable for up to 4400 watts of power. The EU2200i will also parallel with EU2000iK1/T1 models.

I have had a Honda 2000 for many years. I use it around the property and keep it with a nice lil air compressor in the truck. It works fine and will run my AC and refrigerator and some random lights along with water pump in my Grand Design fifthwheel camper just fine. At night while sleeping it will purr all night on idle keeping the refrigerator and as many fans as we want humming along. In cold weather camping it will run the furnace or ceramic heaters or both all night. No need for AC all night. It is great to run power tools , charge dewalt batteries cell phone batteries run string trimmers charge car battery batteries a whole bunch of things and super light and handy. I will never switch from the 2000. As you demonstrated no one thing was over 2000 watts so I can deal just fine.

@2:58 you might want to double check this info, I do not believe you can parallel the new 3200 with the old 2000's. I did a brief check but you might want to double check, I don't think it's right. The EU3200i manual states do not connect the 3200i to any other type of generator. I know the EU2200i could only be connected to other 2200i's and a select few eu2000i's that were made after a certain date. Just wanted to give a heads up.

No reliability goes down, cost of generators goes up, for something pretty obvious. Millions of people have been using them since the 60's, and it's extremely rare people are stupid enough to kill themselves with them. If so, usually done purposely per statistics here in the states.

Yes, and perhaps he should mention the dangers of going outside in 22 degree weather without a jacket, or drinking the gasoline he's using to fuel the generator. Where does it end? If running an internal combustion engine indoors sounds like a good idea to somebody, they most certainly should not own a generator to begin with.

But this new generator has 20 hours on it After it sets for a few days or a week it will not start because it floods every time. Dealer told me to just take the spark plug out and put in a dry one . And pull the cord 20 to30 times to clear it.EFI stand for eliminate fuel injection. This is a real pain in my butt I wish I would have never bought it.

Agreed efi has way more to break and diagnosing without the software can be a pain. If you put ethanol free and run a carb outta gas when your storing it you will never have issues and it will start easy every time.

There are other models with carb. Efi is certainly better than any carb . More fuel efficient, more reliable & not even that complicated. Parts are cheap . Honda has efi in generators for a decade now & there is not a single reported problem with the fuel injection in eu7000is..
