I have this chair and it’s been night and day compared to my old mirage power chair, although when I lost my ability to walk several years ago the mirage rear wheel drive was an amazing introduction to the electric wheelchair and it was a valuable tool to me. But it was slow and had zero suspension so I would end up in lots of pain if I went out to the shops and back I no longer have that problem so much. I have severe ME/CFS and following several bad relapses I lost my ability to walk. I cannot self propel at all in a regular wheelchair because my illness has made my arms very weak. The electric wheelchair however has enabled me to move around my house freely so I can live independently and get outside the house as well. Just roughly a week before Christmas last year, I had my new Quickie 500 M delivered and it has changed my life completely! It’s super fast I love getting the zoomies! 😅 Mine is set to 8mph, I opted for the tilt, the leg raises and the flip arms. Also the manoeuvrability of the mid wheel drive is exceptional. It took me some time to realise that I didn’t have to do so many strange manoeuvres to position myself in a shopping isle or on a bus for instance, now I can turn full circle on the spot if I have to. I think it’s amazing that the option for different types of seating is so good. I highly recommend this powered wheelchair. If you can imagine steering around in your most comfortable armchair then this is the chair for you. It’s so comfortable and adaptable ❤😊

The unit shouldn't be in water in order to get water into the battery compartment. Even if water does get on the battery, it is a sealed batteries (like what is under the hood of your vehicle) so there wouldn't be anything that would damage it. You just really want to keep the unit out of water as much as possible.
