One time inauguration! Perfect and cultivated! And it’s just amazing to see how people, in this case even the president, in those days listened to jokes at their own expense and laughed at them, weren’t immediately offended and immediately sued for hurt, mental pain ... like they do today. Oh, where the mentality of the people has fallen. Slowly there will be no more laughter, no jokes, no more fun, because one will not dare to say anything more, because immediately someone will be hurt and you will be nailed to the cross as the greatest sinner! Sad world... ☹
The music for this was written by none other than Nelson Riddle who also conducted this show. I know this because it was my first job playing 1st trumpet for Frank Sinatra who helped produce and sing at this event.
@@ronaldmuir9126 Dear, Ronald, it was the one point in my career where I was in the right place at the right time and in the. right shape and headspace to do a good job. I do know that my ego took a major blow after the Australian phenomenon on the; trumpet, trombone, saxophone, and multi-instrumentalist, James Morrison took the stage and opened for us, talk about amazing talent!!! It was a humbling and necessary experience in my personal growth! You have some great lead trumpets in Australia! I worked with a very young and capable player, Paul Panichi, Dave's brother, and John Hoffman on that date, as well as another player whose name escapes me. Enjoy the career you have and play with joy! I wish I'd gotten to play on Maynard Ferguson's band but it wasn't my fate, though I got to trade solos with him on a Buddy Rich Band, Maynard Ferguson joint concert outside of Boston, Massachusetts once, so I came close to that dream..
The best part is Rich's gleeful impression of Jimmy Carter @ 6:15. It's funny and amusing the microphone cord is seen being pulled as the blond girl holds the cord as she walks on stage @ 2:55. But she and the other girl were delightful in singing.
You're right! Now go tell this to today's young people 35 and under who couldn't care less about it either, Wow, it's not only horrible but unforgivable as well PERIOD!!!!!
Rich is so amazing! His impression of Ronald Reagan is flawless. And this song had me in stitches! XD
Love Rich Little....And MR. T - he was straight up funny! Loved both of those guys growing up. Need more of both of their types these days!
We don’t need Rich Little these days.

A time that we will never ever see again Ever PERIOD!!!!!

The "Reganomics" were hot, especially the redhead!
I'm not proud of how much I enjoyed the Rich Little song.

Better times for sure.
A real class act!!!

Being a lead trumpet player in Australia in the past it was always an unfulfilled dream to play for Frank . I envy you.

So 80s Mr T is at a presidential inauguration.
Caught a glimpse of Donald Trump in the audience.
Looks like him alright!
He did not agree with Reagan’s neoliberal policies and free trade deals.
Top Reagan golden years when Hollywood was great and in peace all loved Reagan ALL!!!! no disorder no stupid concept like today
