Aiden is definitely right about the US being more Christian than the UK, and as for Catholicism being the oldest, it’s important to point out that the Eastern Orthodox churches split from the Catholic Church in 1054 due to ecclesiastical differences, so it wasn’t just Protestantism that split away from Catholicism.
This is wrong, Eastern Orthodoxy did not split from Catholicism. They both splintered to form two distinct churches. Ecclesiastically, the Orthodox church maintains more of the ancient Patriarchates, the older forms of faith (Orthodoxy refers to it's traditional nature), and rejected the changes done by the pope because they hadn't consulted the eastern patriarchs. Initially there was the Patriarchate of Rome (in the west, first among equals), the Patriarchate of Alexandria, Constantinople, Jerusalem and Antioch. Arguably, it was the Patriarchate of Rome which split from the others. Orthodoxy is older in doctrine and unchanged so, saying it split from the Catholic church is a bit crazy.

The Webb telescope could potentially allow us to see far enough back to gain glimpses of the earliest years of the universe.
