If you’re running mud build you’re not doing any venom or toxin and thus detonate doesn’t do any damage. The only purpose of detonate is to turn venom or toxin into raw damage. It doesn’t get affected by paralysis. I highly recommend swapping detonate out for barrage for more raw damage if you’re playing solo, as the extra damage will let you take on the likes of Allo or Sucho. Barrage is the highest damage output for miragaia if it’s not using the venom or toxin. If you have a group of 3+, having two run charged swing and barrage while dealing both venom and toxin will enable the group to max out the status’. The third player should be a mud user with barrage and detonate so it can come in and do a hefty 40% total damage in one detonation followed by a barrage for good follow up damage. Both statuses will account for 20% total hp once fully maxed out, so getting both stacked onto a potential threat lets your tankier friend come in and obliterate a health pool. This isn’t accounting for the damage already accrued when stacking the statuses. Two detonations should feasibly kill anything, and if that doesn’t, the toxin will.
@@AudunVokter Miragaia is very much dependent on being in a herd. Its capabilities are very limited as a solo player, but skyrocket exponentially once you add one or two more members to the group. As a solo player you have no hopes of killing any apex, let alone the tyrant king himself, but I’ve won multiple 2v1s against both Rex variants. The devs very intentionally made this creature something that requires pack mates to excel in combat. The biggest thing I’ve taken down solo has been a sucho, however it came at the cost of 90% of my health and a lot of sweaty gameplay on my part using the mud build.
Now that Pachy and Alio are buffed (then Pachy got nerfed straight after) I think it would be cool to redo the how to Pachy and Alio videos into one as they are basically the herb and carni versions of each other
I speculated that Mira was meant to be a grouping dino with all those debuff abilities. It was shown off with Kentro and Stego in its group, so I assume they designed it to run toxin or venom and just try to apply stacks while your group mates do the raw damage.
So far, your speculations seems to be correct. At least to my knowledge, fighting solo as this creature seems rather unfavorable, with people just barely beating mid tiers.
Honestly, it is personal preference. In my case I found it easier to control since I worked out a rhythm on how to use it (but ofc this varies from player to player). This creature is still new, and for all I know, you guys might figure out better ways to fight as it.
Can u make a vid on how to survive an ambush because when I get ambushed by a dino the same stats as me it just tailrides and I cant run away as I'm the same speed as it. So can u make a vid on how to win an ambush
Unfortunately, there are no “guaranteed” way to survive an ambush. Especially if you’re a solo Miragaia. This creature focuses more on giving various debuffs, rather than face to face brawling. Best thing to do is grouping up with others.
@@AudunVokter its not exactly for mira, I've been jumped by allos as dasp and cuz I'm same speed I have no option but to fight. Especially if there's more than one not sure how to fight multiple enemies at once either.
@@AudunVokter I am not a fan of offensive tactics as I let the enemy come to me. Definitely excels against small and mid tiers but would suffer with sub apex and apex from raw damage and Bonebreak. Bonebreak is kinda game over if they attack that window.

I just grew one and tested it out on PvP servers. I like it!
Detonate doesn't do a lot of damage, so I'm not sure why you'd use it over tail barrage as a solo mud mira

How do you get rid of his toxic tail attack?
My tail attack is normal tail + tail barrage for maximum DPS and less cooldown.
