KOL says Greenbull is weak because hes fighting the scabards for more than 2 secs. which makes NO sense since we saw Kaido also take a while to handle them. Then there's Yamato "hurting" Greenbull when she did virtually the same damage to kaido. There's also the point where KOL thinks Admirals are weak because they weren't able to effectivly stop/ capture Sabo and the Revolutionary COMMANDERS (not just some random men) even though they couldn't go all out. Mans took 10 mins to get past the panel of the Scabards standing in front of Greenbull. Dude was power scaling for 10 mins when he coulda just turned the damn page to find out what happens. That just goes to show how stubbornly ignorant he his.

@@thingusbingus1268 It's debatable how much stronger the admirals are than the commanders. Yes, we have Green Bull beating King and Queen, but we're not sure how strong they are at that point (they're clearly not at full power), and there's clearly commanders who are stronger than others. Garp is a special case (the only reason he isn't an admiral is because he refused the promotion), so I wasn't counting him, and pretty much every other vice admiral we've seen has been trash.

@@bsjazhdjsjs7626 The vice-admirals would honestly be closer to the Tobi Ropo in terms of power, and even then I'd still say the majority of them are weaker than even Page One. Tsuru, Momousagi and Chaton are probably above them, but I still don't see them beating someone like Queen. Maybe Jack, but it'd be a really tough fight. People seem to forget that Jack took on a fleet with Fujitora, Sengoku, and Tsuru (and Maynard, lol) on it, while taking down two of the four ships, and fought the Minks for five days straight, without sustaining any serious injuries. Wihtout their sulong forms, Inu and Neko are losing to him without question in a 1 v 1 (as are the other scabbards). Jack may be a good deal weaker than King and Queen, but he's by no means weak. The guy is an absolute tank.
@@thingusbingus1268 Garp is the exception to the rule. Most vice-admirals aren't anything to write home about. Vergo was one-shotted by pre-Dressrosa Law, Smoker was curb-stomped by Doflamingo, Maynard was flat-out abused by Bartolomeo. I can't think of a single vice-admiral besides Garp that is impressive enough to hold a candle with a commander.

And akainu plotted to handicap WB even more by having his commander turn on him.

When Akainu, the fleet admiral, walks into room with Gorosei, he's an underling here. When Shanks walks in the very same room, Gorosei listens.
They ignored him and continued with there paperwork. You are not the only one that saw that and I would not use talks politics to showcase the other person is stronger. They are 2 completely different scenarios and field to make a judgement unless they are in the same position but even despite its comes down to respect scenario why what all and that.

Akainu was the marine saving grace that war. Ace was freed and would have gotten away if akainu didn't do what he did.

Barely? You may need to re-read Marineford:
Pirates' side: WB dead, Ace dead, Jozu maimed & incapacitated, Jimbe & Luffy nearly killed, Ivankov taken out, Curiel taken out, Oars Jr. taken out...remaining 13 WB Commanders losing to an injured Akainu & fodder.
Marines' side: Akainu injured....giant squad taken out.
That was all despite some of the Navy's top fighters doing little to nothing like Sengoku & Garp, the WB pirates getting massive help from Luffy's group which was basically half the Warlords...and the Warlords on the Navy side mostly messing around.
Obviously the Red Hair pirates would have gotten defeated. The WB Pirates regarded as the strongest pirate crew with 43 allied crews and basically half the Warlords through Luffy were nearly completely wiped out without taking out 1...not a single *one* of the Navy's top fighters.
Did you think that Shanks with 1 ship was vastly superior to the entire WB Pirates, their allies & half the Shichibukai?
And plus akainu only got called off when sengoku said the war was over. Before that he stood there actually sweating in front of shanks for the whole chapter
It’s funny he says Kaido is doing nothing to the Marines. Didn’t Kaido use the Marines as an all you can eat buffet restaurant? The Marines couldn’t kill him nor stop him from doing what he wanted? No other Yonko has done that. Who gets captured over and over and never die by the government and do whatever they want to.

Even though he was Old and Dying he was still Powerful and did well against the Admirals. Their feats are simply comparable despite some Yonko having far more screentime...and some Admirals even have better feats in comparison.

Either way, it still doesn't help you since even from the only 2 arcs they appear before the current one we still have:
- Punk Hazard: 2 Admirals permanently changing the climate and landscape of an island. Half the Strawhats nearly died from the after effect.
- Fujitora casually lifting all the material in Dressrosa, enough to sink the fleet of 5,600 pirates that stretched for miles off the coast.

admiral is a RANK, not a level of strength. its the rank a marine gets when they are offered it.
their strength could vary from garp and kong all the way down to smoker. for all we know, kong is the strongest motherfucker ever, and just hasnt shown it yet
xebec wasn’t alone he had his whole crew, it probably wasn’t even a 2v1. Same thing could be said about shiki , if we didn’t have any information about what happened we would have assumed it took garp and sengoku to beat.

I have a simple question for Brago, if the Admirals are stronger than the Yonkos, why have they never been able to just send out an all out attack and capture each one one by one? Why did Roger have to give himself in instead of being surrounded and taken?

That's the thing the Admirals are so strong they allow them to exist only to help keep all the new pirates in check. The more they get rid of pirates the more people want to become one and take that spot.. they are pawns and at any point they could wipe them all out like they did the shishibuki if they are no longer needed
The title of world strongest man is what WB kept from his past.
At the time of Marineford, he was at his weakest. So much so that the admirals could wrestle with him, because of his Haki was down.
This is a huge handicap for a Yonko. Especially for one that is actually human. Not to mention his old age, illness and injuries.
All those trick would not work on Shanks not to mention Kaido.
During their last encounter, I think Kaido saw something unexpected in Shanks whick is why he is amongst his top 5. This doesn't necessarily means that Shanks was stronger that Kaido. In means his potential is also very high similar to Oden. He has high regards for peak WB, Roger and Rocks for obvious reasons.
On the other hand, the admirals in Marineford took very little damage if I recall. Akainu got yeeted for a bit but came back with a vengeance and that was it

There is no doubt that the admirals are strong. Akainu in particular was very durable as well. However, I just don't see the admirals from then fairing the same way against someone like Kaido for instance.

He wasn’t that weaker
Old age doesn’t make you weaker (Oda says in SBS 82)
His haki was never declined (stated in One Piece Yellow), he just couldn’t use it that often because of the illness, but he was using against the admirals as stated and shown
The only thing actually nerfing him was the sickness, and he was being treated not so long before MF, only getting really bad against Akainu (at which point he had already being overpowered by Aokiji, showing that he was inferior to the admirals even at his best stage)
And One Piece Databook Yellow says that WB was the strongest pirate even at that stage, so KOL saying that he was the weakest Yonkou every 5 seconds is an absolute joke
@@dbibas3710 I didn't say BM was stronger than WB (though I actually think so). Her durability is as insane as Kaido and she can still use haki but has not really shown affective usage of it during Wano. This is why I wouldn't place her as high as Kaido or Shanks. Of course, she still has a top devil fruit as most of them do.
As for Shanks, there is nothing much to say. I can only attribute it to portrayal because that's all we've got. I still remember when his Haki was damaging WB's ship and I don't think we've gotten an explanation to that. I think it has something to do with another level of haki.

This debate is so bad. Aokiji who is damn near as strong as the fleet admiral akainu left the marines and works with the BB pirates. We didn’t even hear a peep from the WG. But a demntia riddled old woman and suicidal alcoholic just being on the same island made the marines think the end times were coming
Exaggerating won't help. The Gorosei do indeed bring up Kuzan allying with Blackbeard, but that's obviously nowhere near the same when Kuzan doesn't have an entire Yonko crew with him and no one knows his intentions.
The Marines were already engaged in other areas and didn't have the resources to spare for the surprise team up of Big Mom & Kaido, yet Kizaru still offered to go break things up and the Fleet Admirals main concern was just the unknown forces in Wano, not either Yonko.
The 2 Yonko themselves were seeking out the Ancient Weapons just to compete, so that says it all.

When white beard was fighting after all the blows he received during the war every admiral was shook.. when lava bit#% killed ace then went after Luffy and white beard who was severely beaten stopped him he not only was shook but got his ass handed to him.. white beard severely beat down and probably the weakest Yonko at the time slapped the current commander of the marines like it was nothing.

Narratively speaking, It wouldn't be logical for the admirals to be weaker than a 1st mate commander. This is assuming they'll fight the top tiers at the end of the series. If anything they should be close to Yonko Territory by then. Mainly referring to Akainu, Kizaru and Aokiji. Greenbull and Fujitora I can see being closer to a 1st commander than a yonko though.
Greenbull just folded two commanders hyper casually, yeah they were recovering and weakened, but if this was AT ALL and impressive feat for an admiral Oda would have had the character mention it instead of Greenbull saucing on both of them while hitting the henny and talking about how crappy an admiral he'd be if he even came close to losing to them. Do people really think that if they were full health they'd be anything more than mid diff for him based on that showing??

I believe whitebeard would've noticed if roger was weaker than previously. Also, he was JUST diagnosed with the illness when he clashed with Whitebeard. If the admirals can fold a Yonko and his crew, what happened at Marineford? Why didn't the Admirals instantly win? Why did Akainu go out of his way to pull that dirty trick with Squard if they had a 100% chance of winning? Why did Sengoku go so mental with the strategy / pacifista plan? Why would the Marines desperately want all the dendenmushi feeds cut if they could have shown themselves stomping out a yonko and his crew effortlessly? As for KoL, his logic is kind of scuffed too. You can't use a source in your argument that says Kaido is the strongest Yonko, and treat that source as factual, but then in the same breath say your source is wrong and Shanks is actually the strongest. KoL is right . . . all of red hair pirates could take on anyone on that paramount war altogether coz they are not at their best form. Old WB is weaker than young WB coz he does not need medication. Kaido still is fit due to his race so he is still prime and getting stronger, Kaido at current IS stronger than Old WB but IS scared of Shanks. Those people on his list of strong people are probably the only ones who had the chance to beat him and guess what SHANKS IS THERE! Probably the fights never finished 1on1 coz if it did Kaido would have been their subordinate.
Vice admirals are fodder against the top 5 crew of each Yonko. 3 Admirals would have to work together to fight against 1-prime-Yonko, the legendary Garp and fleet admiral Sengoku had to work together against Shiki. BDA power scaling is . . . sad to say broken, he sees admirals on a high pedestal against the Yonko and if they are really really strong they should have cleaned the Yonko years ago. Just think about it, the Shichibukai could wipe the floor of all vice admirals by themselves.

Garp & Sengoku beat up Shiki in short order without taking significant damage themselves as well. That just reinforces that 2 Admirals is simply too much for anyone (which should be obvious when even Roger said 1 was enough to challenge him, asking for either Garp or Sengoku because both would be overkill).
Also, it's literally just the manga itself that places both the Admirals & Yonko on a pedestal. Even the Main Character himself treats them interchangeably, saying he has to be able to beat both to become Pirate King.

I mean some things right here, Whitebeard was the weakest when we hit Marineford by a large margin, couldn't even use his CoC.
Carrot never even tried to go for Daifuku she only wanted to destroy his fleet which she did, whilst avoiding his things.
All we know of Momosagi and Chaton is that they were in the draft for getting an admiral position, we know they went far but not how far, and also we don't have a clue if they only got far cause they didn't face Ryokugyuu or Fujitora before they got eliminated from the tournament or who defeated them. So nothing can be said to relate their strength to an admiral.
Ohh yeah and about the fact trying to say that the yonkou are afraid of the admirals because they don't attack the marines is pure bs, since there's 3 admirals and 1 yonkou if they attack like that not to mention the numerical advantage of the marines etc. not to mention that the other yonkou would just invade their territory in the meantime. It's more telling that the marines doesn't attack the yonkou if the admirals are at the same power lvl as the yonkou cause they could send 2 of them to attack a single yonkou and win handedly.
Then when it comes to the vice admirals outside of Garp none of them have a good or decent portrayal, so the gap looks massive between them and the admirals, none of them are even close to commander lvl from their portrayal. When it comes to the admirals they look strong but it doesn't have the same portrayal as a yonkou.
Buggy as a yonkou is just because of how the world views him, nothing else.

I don't see how it's even debatable that the yonko have better portrayal than the admirals in terms of power. Kaido is without a doubt the most impressive character we've seen in full on on-pannel/on-screen combat to this day. Nothing the admirals have done so far, save for maybe Akainu and Aokiji changing the climate of Punk Hazard, even comes close to his strongest attacks.

Even Whitebeard didn't invade Wano after Oden died because of the casualties that could result from their two crews clashing. And yes, Oda has built Akainu up a lot, but his portrayal within the series has been nowhere close to Kaido's. The way Doflamingo acts around the admirals compared to how he reacts over someone mentioning Kaido should really be a dead giveaway as to who he fears more.
Every time the yonko get brought up, they're treated like living legends and the World Government goes in panic at the thought of them even talking to each other. The admirals simply don't have that hype surrounding them in the series. It's just that simple.
