Looking good, Geoff. That pool IS deep and that's going to be fun for you & the kids. I mean, jumping & diving into a pool is so much fun and when you're restricted due to depth, well it takes some of the fun out of being in a pool. Love watching it all come together.

WOW what a change without all the 'wood'. That dive pool will allow for deep dives, even some lovely swallow dives :) Looks fantastic Bealy Good. Was thinking - doorways throughout the house on flat surfaces only of course, have you considered making the groves for doors in the concrete so that walkers and wheelchairs have not 'bumps' to go over. My brother has it and it is so handy.

for the 2 inch to one inch adapter, it is nice to have a smooth internal transition if you push a new cable from the big end toward the smaller pipe, the leading cable end usually will bump into the adapter / not lift up to go into the smaller hole...

FWIW, I've minimized my use of stone backfill before by using some sheets of plywood leftover from the pour by drilling some holes along the edge and putting in some rope loop handles. Hold the ply on edge about a foot off the foundation, and have the skid steer sprinkle crush between the ply and the foundation. When it reaches about a foot, sprinkle in some native on the frontside. Run the jumping jack on the native to firm it up. Repeat in one foot lifts until the ply is nearly 2/3 buried, then pull on the ropes moving the ply up about a foot. Most of the time I could just pull the ply up by hand and not need to enlist the help of the skid steer. Continue in one foot lifts until you reach desired grade. Stone is expensive, native is free. A little innovation and some hard work can save a ton of money!
QUESTION GEOFF-> You said your slump was 4. Is that with or without super plasticizer? If it's without, please consider the additive before you just juice it up. Back before I was a project manager, the job foreman over me had the driver 'juice it up'! Not only did I get to witness what it looks like when you have a blowout and lose 2/3 of a truck, I got to help clean up the mess before it set up down in the hole. Oh and these were conventional forms, not ICF's. As I am sure you are aware, ICF's are MUCH more vulnerable to blowouts.
Anyway, thanks for sharing, and I'll watch for the next one.

Flex pipe instead of rigid 90 for water.
A lot of leak problems later on are related to settling and the rigid PVC gets broken. Flex can give it movement.
And try to use a pair of 45's instead of sharp 90's if possible. Flow is always less resistant flowing through 45's

Here in Australia we have the clear first as it is the "cleaner" and then the blue as it is the "glue". Perhaps in USA it is the other way round, But I am asking this as a 93 year old ex plumber who was in the first stages of PVC pipe. I still welded it and the poly too. Many greetings to you.

Hi Geof I'm addicted to your channel. One question though. Are you going to use Chlorine in your pool water to sanitize it and when you change the water where will it go? Will you pump it offsite or have you another idea?

I’m going to discuss that in the next video. Stay tuned!

Use 45's where you can instead of 90's. The water flows so much better also if anything does get stuck in a pipe it's more likely to pass through to be removed.
